Amazing!
Affordable and in depth resource for your gardening needs!
Do not buy this app
This app is awful. It keeps charging me and yet will not let me use the features and keeps demanding I sign up. There is no reason to buy this and I have been trying to get the charges stopped through Apple as there is no contact for the developer
Plats needs update
Love the improvement thank you, can you add water and sun icons in the plants information. Can add it like 1 water drop = low to 4 water drops = high. Same for sun, 1 sun shade to 4 suns direct sun all day. Besides that for now awesome app. Ty
Not a big selection
I like this app and it is helpful but there isn’t a very good selection of plants/veg to choose from.
Needs updates
Need to add an option where you can plan out all the vegetables you will be planting.
Wow!
Everything I needed in one app!
Not free
Says it’s free but it’s not
Like but….
I like this app, easy to use but I wish I could add Lavender or Marigold seeds to my plot. I usually plant companion plants for my veggies.
Can be better
Barely any flowers. I want to do interplanting and if I am trying to put celery and carrot for example in the same patch it kind of overlaps. It would be good if the app would understand interplanting and automatically fix this nicely.
Device sharing
I do love this app. It is compatible with my zone and has the things i plant. However, unless i just can’t figure it out, I’m not a fan of not being able to use it on my iPad and my iPhone. If it would sync between devices that would be great. I definitely think it could use a few improvements and it would be perfect!
Great little app
Perfect for dreaming about spring and making plans while sitting by the fire as the snow falls. Straightforward. Simple. Easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
Scam
I purchased this app in the past then they switched to subscription based payment. Total scam.
Disappointed
Love the idea and several features , BUT! - I live in zone 6A and would like an option to change planting times for your zone - I am working on designing a greenhouse with several beds in it and want to be able to have more than one bed visible on my plant patch at a time. I would also like the size template for garden beds to have feet and inches instead of only feet, this is really limiting. These three things are making me look elsewhere for an app to plan my garden
Catalog
I downloaded and paid for the app. Missing some key veggies like Bell Peppers, sweet peppers, winter squash. Recommend adding all categories from a seed catalog. Will this be added into a version upgrade?? Would like to see companion flower pollinators go along with the veggies. Besides my suggestions, I like the option of creating multiple beds with dimensions and the heart (good) or lightning bolt (bad) display when dragging a veggie into the the bed. 3-stars because there is lots of room for improvements.
Has potential
In this day and age the majority of people are using raised beds. So it would wonderful if we could put all the beds on one page to see the layout of multiple beds at once. Different shaped beds would be great also. As well as adding more vegetables and companion flowers as well.
Software doesn't print the map.
It isn't printing the veggie map after you make it. I took screenshots and will splice those together. Wanring about the download, i closed the software and reopened it and it all THREE hours of work. It not quite ready to use yet. I'm hopeful developer fixes it.
Good app, but…
This is a good app, but I get what I pay for. I wish this app had more vegetables that I didn’t have to create, like squash.
Should automatically adjust to zone..
I paid money for a garden planner to simplify the process, but now I have to go through and look up and make note of every seedtime and harvest time for my zone. Why not just have it adjust by location? This is more of a pain than is worth.
Useful but poorly setup
Cannot design a garden shape other than square and rectangular and the vegetables list is not searchable leaving you scrolling and hoping you didn’t miss what you are looking for.
Amateur aspirations to Decent Harvest
I’ve been utilizing this app for probably about 3-4 years now. It’s user friendly interface has allowed me to increase my basic knowledge about planning and planting, especially realizing positive and poor adjacent companions as well as plotting the rotation of my plants to maintain nutrient dense soil health. It’s one of two go-to gardening apps I use year after year!
Hard to figure out
Hard to find stuff
Great app
I love the app but I wish it was also available for windows. It would be awesome to be able to open it on my computer also to get a bigger visual and for my husband and I to work it together!
Incomplete Veggie list
Decent app, but if I’m going to pay for it, I don’t want to have to add a ton of custom veggies and fruits myself.
Few
Doesn't have all the common garden vegetables.
Companion planting
I use this when trying to keep my plants happy and around friends in the garden. I couldn’t keep track of them without this app!
Very expensive
This app charges you by the WEEK.
Subscription model
Apparently this app use to be a pay once and done but they moved to a subscription model. Its yearly and not terrible. All the features look interesting and pretty well done just not what I’m looking. Kutos for not collecting data.
Vegetable and herbs
PLEASE update your list of vegetables and herbs. So many are missing.
Disappointing that I cannot zoom in to read the tiny txt.
Hope you resolve this for future ease of use.
Figured it out - GREAT APP
The only thing Id change is that you couldnt delete old beds but I figured out that if you slide the bed to the left theres a delete button. Maybe that was on the new update.
Need to be able to change zones
The app could be great with some minor improvements. I can’t change the zone to determine accurate seed and harvest times :(
Good but doesn’t adjust planting based on zone
I love this app for planning my garden because it’s huge and every year I forget what I’ve planted where BUT I live in zone 10a so the planting and harvesting times are much different than the recommendations in the app. If you could add that feature that would be 5 star ⭐️
Potential
The list of veggies is so small. I wish it also had more medicinal herbs. They have another app that is 99 cents which like I would pay for if it were an add on library to this app. I companion plant and want to see how all of my garden is going to work together. So this is great for a basic start but I will have to do more research on some of the plants I want to add to my garden. So is it worth $3.90 prob not. Likely wont renew it after this year. Unless there is more added to the library and such.
Mediocre at best
This app cost money which I didn’t realize at first. I purchased the app because I like the idea on planning my garden. However, they are lacking on the plant variety available. I would also like it if the planner was on a grid and would snap to the grid. Also, a pathway options would be nice to put between plants. I expected a little more from a paid app.
Helpful
Great tool to identify good and bad plant neighbors.
Requires buying to do anything
The app only gives you access to about 8-10 plants (A through capsicum) and planning space for a tiny insignificant area. Useless without in-app purchase.
Good app BUT
Needs more vegetables, squash In particular spaghetti, squash, butternut squash, acorn squash. There’s so many different varieties out there. I wish they were in the app because I know most people this is a staple in their garden.
Grow zone locked
This app only shows garden plans for zones 7-10, and tells you to “adjust accordingly.” I need a planner that will adjust for whatever temp zones I specify, so that I don’t have to do a bunch of manual adjustments.
Limited use
My garden is in ground and containers. The app does not support multiple garden views. I would not have subscribed if I’d known this in advance.
Perfect Vegetable Garden App!
I love this app. This is my 2nd year using it. This makes planning so easy because it lets you plot out your garden spaces by entering the dimensions and location of each one and then shows you how much space you need for each plant. It also easily shows you what you can plant next to what. The veggie descriptions are extremely helpful for soil, light, water and nutrient needs. Highly recommend!
Not useful
Most plants require a subscription. However low score bc there’s no way to modify usda zone and plant timings are wrong. For example it gives garlic as a Feb-Apr timing for planting rather than what it should be which is around first frost or 30 days before ground freezes.
Could have more variety
As a first time gardener I love this app. Super easy and simple for me to use and not an overload of information for my brain haha. Any details on certain plants I am fine with looking elsewhere. Although I do wish they had more variety of vegetables. A lot of the veggies in growing aren't listed.
planning
Disappointed as it doesn’t allow for features and is difficult to use on a large plot. Have reverted to trusty pen, A4 and a ruler! Useful for checking the position of plants as it quickly tells you what to put with what etc
Great App Just needs a bit of fine tuning
Need to be able to change units of measure in the garden layout and it’s missing the ability to select a growing zone for each plant and missing a lot of veggies that are commonly grown . The app is definitely a great assistance tool in planning your garden .
Planning My Garden
This App has made planning my garden super easy!
Doesn’t work
I paid the almost $4 for the full subscription but still can’t add the locked items because it keeps trying to sell me the app again. Very disappointed.
Suggestion
Would love to see more flowers/herbs added that are beneficial to veggie gardens. Lavender, chamomile, marigolds, lemon grass etc…
Great potential but needs improvement
Overall useful and good The improvements required : limited amount of plants available to choose from (even with the purchased version) common things like oregano and leaf lettuce included in mesclun are missing The measurement of the garden are in meters you can’t have it in feet doesn’t allow for sq foot gardening just traditional row planting . You can’t select your planting zone so if you aren’t in the Seattle type of planting zone the calendar is useless . With these improvements made this app will be the best garden planner app on the App Store . So far I feel I wasted $5.49
Small list of veggie in the data base
The data base are so small ... for 5$ version ... waist of money...
