Great app

Used to LOVE this app as a bartender learning new cocktails and what I can make with what I have until they began charging subscriptions to use the app. You won’t get any recipes for drinks made with “your bar” without paying. Absolutely tanked their original model and customer appeal for a few extra bucks in their pocket
I was hoping for a VERY simple function: What to buy!
I was hoping for a VERY simple function or page that would tell me what booze I should buy (not brand, just type) to add to my bar to unlock either a. The largest number of cocktails b. The largest number of cocktails I would like based on other cocktails and flavors I liked. c. Also if I hated something, say Campari (which is truly foul), it could steer me away from anything that tastes like it.
Not even paid version works.
Downloaded and signed up for free trial. Selected about 90% of the ingredients and there are NO OPTIONS for possible drinks. The comments say it’s a scam. Bye.
Nice app but constantly bugs me to upgrade
I get that you need to make revenue. I don’t use the app enough to be worth $50 a year… if it were $25 I’d be more likely to subscribe. Maybe charge a small fee upfront? I’m just tired of being prompted to upgrade every single time I login.

App offers nothing
If you do not purchase the premium subscription it will not even offer recipes using the ingredients you have entered that are currently in your bar. I know they don’t want to give things away, but just price it up front rather than giving an empty app without the $50 per year subscription.
New app is great - needs few improvements
New app is great and looks good. Make it that when you press the “Make me a cocktail” button, you have the options to see all the cocktails on the same page instead of only showing 25 of them, please!
Doesnt save
My old account was wiped with the update. I took a ton of time making a new account and creating a bar in the new one. My password manager even saved my user name and password. I’m trying to log i , and it says no account with my only email address. I’m not taking the time to do this again. Maybe if you have a paid account it works…
Could not transfer my bar when new upgrade happened
I used to love this app and had my entire bar loaded. It has great choices and suggestions. When the new upgrade happened it lost my entire list and would not transfer to the new account. I’m not opposed to subscriptions, apps have to pay for themselves, but not transferring everything over was a deal breaker for me.
Amazing!!
I absolutely love this app, has almost everything you can think of as an option. I think hard lemonade would be good to add in the beer section! Otherwise though, the app is great, functions perfectly. isn’t overrun with ads or anything either. Love this!
Broken?
I highlighted everything in the “My Bar” feature it still came up with no drinks to make. Delete.
Custom drinks and adding comments
Great looking app, but is there a way to add comments to a recipe or create custom cocktails?
Was better before
I loved the old version of this app because I could put every single thing that I had in my bar in there by brand and everything And now it’s just this real basic thing I can’t even put Midori or blue curaçao in there. I’m very disappointed to see this Shopping around for another app that I can put all of the things that I have in there
Lost some important features
The app lost an important feature: the ability to see which cocktails you can make (based on your inventory) with ingredients you seek in the cocktail. Example, after setting up your inventory in the app, I want to see the cocktails I can make with Cognac. With the new version, searching for Cognac shows all recipes, not the ones you have the ingredients for. It effectively renders the app useless, as I don’t want to see ALL cognac recipes, only the ones I can make.
From amateur to professional
I am really enjoying this app. It’s turning an amateur bartender into a professional wannabe.
Useless without $$$
Downloaded for ideas on new drinks. Entered 15+ spirits, several liqueurs, many mixers, and said make me a drink and it came up with exactly 2 drinks. Apparently it will only give you ideas if you pay $50+. Deleting now.
Good but can improve
Would like to be able to sort favorites and ingredients in “My Bar” in ANC order. Also should be able to remove items from My Bar from our own list; now have to go to the “add ingredients” and unselect

It would nice if all the drinks are here i tried to type in Casa Blanca a rum drink and it didn’t know what I was talking about
Needs improvement
I used the old app and this one is a huge downgrade. The app has lots of functionality issues, it’s more difficult to search ingredients, and the cocktail options are far more limited. At this point it’s more effective to throw ingredients into chat.

Just what I needed in the run to to Christmas, so many great ideas and easy to use.
It’s a small database; login is NOT a requirement
Really scummy move here, requiring logins. This tells me the next move here is monetization, likely via monthly subscription, and that’s where and when reasonable people will promptly leave this app. CALLED IT. YOU WANT 60 QUID A YEAR??! You’re huffing your own farts, mate.
Incredible potential, a few really annoying things to change
First off the potential of this app is huge. Getting into cocktails can be hugely overwhelming and this app helps by letting you know what you can make with what you have. But a few things to change. It’s very annoying that, say when I’m making a cocktail and my phone goes to sleep, when I pop back into the app it resets to the homepage and you have to find the cocktail you were making again. Hopefully you remember the name of it. Also I would really like to save my preference of measurement. Again every time you have to go back into the app it resets your preference to ml. I’d like to save it as ounces but it seems you can’t. Other than those 2 minor things this app is great. I can’t wait to continue using it for myself and guests
A lot of potential
Edit—I like this app less and less the longer I use it. A simple search for common drinks like “paper plane” or “Jungle Bird” produces no results. Add that to the fact that the unit of measurement STILL changes every time you make a drink and this is becoming pretty useless and frustrating. I like this app; it could be so much better. It probably will be with time. I love that you can change the measure for whatever you use (ml, oz, whatever). But you have to change it EVERY time. There is no preference you can set to make the measure you use the default. The search function is oddly difficult to use; I find the best way to browse is going into my account and looking at what I’ve favorited via the website.
odd measurement conversions listed ounces
this app has a lot of potential and I’m struggling between 2 and 3 stars bc it’s unusable for me atm but with some simple fixes it would easily take off in popularity and rating so I’m going to rate it a 3! prob most annoying is the fact that every time you search for a drink you are forced to re-adjust the measurement unit (always initializes in ml). for gods sake please try creating a user side constant or try assigning with ‘this.’ try something though it really shouldn’t be that difficult to fix this :( also I don’t know any bartenders that are measuring in 1/3oz and 2/3oz increments which is what the app seems to like to suggest. most of us use a 4 count free hand pour system where counting to 1 = 1/4 oz and so fourth moving up in 1/4 increments on each count of the pour. maybe just call a function that is designed to adjust ingredients to the 1/4oz scale while maintaining recipe ratios and/or adjusting certain ingredients up or down based on their type - liquor vs liqueur vs syrup/juice etc. I’m not sure how the conversion is taking place but it should be able to be adjusted at the same level/place at least. hope development still underway and things improve in the future!

So simple and practical, great to make full use of that home bar you never touch- only giving 4 stars because the personal bar section has some limitations (certain items can’t be added) - otherwise very convenient & accessible to beginners to mixing drinks

Great Recipes, Bad Memory
I’ve been using this app for a while. I have a ton of ingredients, but I have to keep adding them every couple of months. I can’t make or save lists. I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong or if the app doesn’t work properly. Help me change my review!
Much potential
App has so much potential to be better but falls short, I will say it is the best I have used but needs a lot of improvement. Adding unique cocktails and new ingredients is a pain and I can’t seem to do it through the app only through browser. So much could be done with this.

Excellent app with some minor issues
Updated review: originally I found the ads to be intrusive, but have since discovered they can be removed for a small amount of money as a one off payment. Having done this the app is a lot more useable. It’s been great to try different cocktails and help with ingredients shopping. A couple of minor things I’ve noticed. The tab navigation resets when I visit another tab. For example if I’m on the “My bar” tab and viewing a cocktail then go to the “search” tab and back to the “My bar” tab it takes me back to the root of the tab. I’ve also had server errors when attempting to create a list and been prompted to login when tapping on “swap it so you can make it”. Other than these small fixable issues the app has been great since removing the ads. Original review title: Intrusive ads. Original review: I’ve used the website and thought I’d try the app. Initial impressions were it’s easier to use than the site. The ads are ridiculous though. Full screen ads which can only be skipped after 5 seconds.
Stopped Working
After years of good use, the app stopped working completely and doesn’t produce any results in its search. Does anyone know what’s going on with it?
Limited catalogue of drinks
First bottle I tried to add to my bar was liquor 43 and it was not listed. I have more liqueurs than are listed in their catalogue and I don’t consider myself a serious cocktail enthusiast by any means. Deleting app after this review as it’s of no use to me. Diffords website any day.

Literally Cannot Login
Have an account on the PC but I cannot login on the app. Basic functionality doesn’t work. Super cool.
Enjoyable app marred by loud ads
Wife and I are starting to explore cocktails and this app is an informative and fun way to learn and expand as the home bar grows. But…the ads have become obnoxious (loud). I don’t mind the occasional ad, especially if they’re short or easily closed. However there are now ads that pop up with loud audio and there isn’t a global mute option. You have to scramble to try to find a mute or close button for each ad as the app blares throughout the room. That I don’t like. Greatly limits where and when I can feel comfortable using the app.
Functional but inaccurate
Tried using the lookup feature to find cocktails with agave syrup or mezcal…the search results yikes a BUNCH of drinks, most of which have neither ingredient I’m looking to use. Don’t remember the app being that inaccurate in the past, but it is now. Will look elsewhere for a useful app.
Pretty solid app for new drinks
I gave it three stars. A lot of drink options and mixer ideas aren’t incorporated in the app yet but if you have it a basic go. It was fun for a few new drinks
Fantastic App aside from the adverts
The app is fantastic for making cocktails at home, it lets you add all the ingredients you have and then suggests recipes from that. The only part I dislike is the adverts that show up every 4 or 5 recipes.

Very confusing and I was constantly drawn to some add that I couldn’t get out of. Don’t waste your time.

Has potential, but ultimately fails
I’ve been looking for an app that can recommend cocktails based on ingredients you select. But this app has a very limited and uncreative algorithm that will only work if your ingredients exactly match the very limited, basic recipes in its database. For example, according to this app, if you have rye, sugar, and bitters, you can’t make an old fashioned because an old fashioned only has bourbon. (Wrong.) Also according to this app, if you have bourbon, bitters, and simple syrup you can’t make an old fashioned because an old fashioned must have sugar but not sugar syrup. (Wrong.) Also, according to this app, if you have bourbon, sugar, and orange bitters you can’t make an old fashioned because an old fashioned must only have angostura bitters. (Wrong again.) Don’t waste your time.

Stunning App
This app does everything you would want it to do and more. Simple to use and intuitive, just add the contents of your drinks cabinet and see all of the cocktails you can make and how to make them.
Great Idea but not working
This app is based on a great concept, however there are a few things that need fixing. The most important being “my bar” … it does not save your bar and you have to constantly add your spirits every time you open the open, which defeats the purpose of the app all together!
One request
As an avid cocktail drinker I’m really looking forward to getting into this app. First sight looks very promising. I’ve dropped a star because of just one thing: the app adopts the rather odd American habit of measuring liquids by weight rather than volume. Weighing out three quarters of an ounce of gin is difficult and inconvenient, my scales and weights just aren’t small enough. Please could we have the option to switch recipes to the much more convenient millilitre measurements instead, or just list both? As with most Europeans, I’ve got lots of those!
Remember settings
Great content, but there’s one very annoying element missing: remember what measure units the user select. It’s such a pain to manually change it EVERY TIME
Why can’t it learn...
... to stop suggesting recipes with things I don’t have? The top three on my list include Blue Curaçao which I don’t have. Not on my bar list.
