Finally a pixel game with a story line and home building.
Not as advertised
So the advert shows that you are colouring furniture and rooms and that you work your way through the mansion. The first 2 pictures are exactly that and I thought it was going to be a good game that will take a while to do. Well then they make you colour pictures that have nothing to do with what the task is. For example i had to colour toast to get the wallpaper. I don’t even want to carry on because this is not what I downloaded.

fun, satisfying and entertaining story. lots and LOTS of art to color. not enough story!! last updated 7 months ago from now and it was just bug fixes. would be cool to have a feature to watch a timelapse of coloring the art.
Annoying
It’s a coloring game.. why is there at least 4 levels of a forced tutorial. I just want to turn the annoying sound off

I have been enjoying the game but the forced tutorial absolutely ruins the beginning experience. Not being able to skip it or figure out things on my own makes the beginning feel so tedious.

Don’t spend money on a subscription for this game as you can’t get past chapter 2
Pretty good
I like the idea of this game. I often play it after work. It’s low pressure and the story is cute. However it seems like they have infrequent updates and no events, so I’m not sure how long I’ll be playing before I reach the end of the content. I’ve already been playing for over a month and would love to play for a long time because I find it relaxing, but a game with no future is a disappointing thought.
Has not been updated in half a year
Was a good game at first but it has not had an update in half a year! With the amount they charge for subscriptions and make you pay for different albums the least they can do is have some events or something new. So disappointed…
Upgrades become more expensive
I have really enjoyed playing this game so far, but as I progress it costs more stars to do anything, and the rate you earn the stars does not scale with the prices. So you end up trying to complete more pictures just for one upgrade, then you’re out of the free pictures and can’t do anything. On top of that I have arthritis so completing that many pictures at a time isn’t doable for me. I’ve been at a stand still with progress since it became 36 stars an upgrade as it takes me multiple sittings to complete enough pieces to do anything. I love the game and I’m rather sad that I’m not able to progress as easily as before.

it won’t load. i just downloaded this game to find that it says “failed to load resources” so, as a normal person, i check my wifi and it has full bars. strange? so i refresh the app, and it pops up again. no matter how many times i click “retry”, it will not load. i re-downloaded it and still, it won’t load. please fix your game, as i was looking forward to playing.

I have trouble with games like this because the painting isn’t always enough for me, but this game gives me the chance to decorate while painting which absolutely helps my focus in playing a game if you have ADHD or just cannot always concentrate on a game. This is the perfect game for you.
Settings
I understand how to play the game, that I have to click on the puzzles to proceed. Stop forcing me into starting puzzles and preventing me from changing the settings! I did like eight puzzles hoping after each one that the game would leave me alone long enough to be able to turn off haptics but apparently that’s too much to ask. Uninstalled at that point.
No more rooms?
I love this game however it’s been 3 years and still no new room updates for the IOS community. Idk if the android users have new rooms but it only allows you up to the kitchen and then it tells you to get their other game gallery. And while I like gallery this game is better. I sent them an email a while back asking about new room releases and they said it’s coming soon. It’s been over a year and still nothing. When will there be new rooms to decorate for the IOS users????
Tutorial
This game is fun, yes, but I continuously tried to turn off the sound, and even after I did, the game continued to make noise. The tutorial reset 4 times for me, and it got really annoying really quick. So, unless you want an hour long tutorial, don’t download this game.

New update
Really disappointed that this game force stop media apps with the new update. Coloring apps while listening to my audiobooks are the best way to wind down after a long day. At this point, I won’t be spending any more money on this game and probably won’t spend much time playing since there are plenty of other apps
Good but a simple suggestion to improve
Pixel Woods is a fantastic pixel-coloring game. However, forced ads are never enjoyable, and games that rely too heavily on them often lose the opportunity to maintain a strong player base. Many merge games handle this better by offering incentivized ads instead. In those games, whenever a player wants or needs something, an optional rewarded ad is available. This is the approach Pixel Woods should adopt—removing forced ads and replacing them with incentivized ones. Ads may still be somewhat annoying, but they would no longer be pushed to the point where players uninstall the game due to excessiveness. Overall, the game is great, but if forced ads were replaced with incentivized ads, players would be far more inclined to watch ads for rewards rather than having their immersion disrupted by mandatory interruptions, you can keep the turn off annoying ads as even incentivised ads tend to get annoying to the point the player goes and buys it so they don’t have to continue watching ad after ad. It’s more of a win/win for the app developers and the players playing as they won’t be deterred like most colour by pixel games are structured when it comes to ad. Overall fantastic game key point. “Game doesn’t need forced ads. game should have incentivised ads.”
Great game BUT
I absolutely love this game. There are not many games like this where you get to color and decorate especially with pixel coloring and not just clicking on sections in the pictures. But I have been waiting for MONTHS and I mean months for an update to the story. This company puts all their time into their gallery coloring game that this one gets left behind. It is disappointing to have to be continuously waiting.
Fun but Slow Progression
The overall gameplay is enjoyable and being able to customize your house adds another element most paint by number games don’t have. But the progression feels super slow and I don’t feel like there is much to do until new content drops. Also, when dragging to paint the same number, it is super inconsistent and usually ends up missing blocks or hitting another number around it. Would be nice to have that function be smoother.
Confused.
I LOVE this game. I was non stop playing this game for probably a month or two. But like every game I end up getting bored or finding a new game so it goes untouched for a while. I had boughten albums while I was playing, now I finally get back into the game and all of my completed albums are gone and even the packs I bought are gone. I tried to restore purchases but nothing happens.. I am really upset about this and unsure what to do. I remember the pack I bought was the huge cat paintings because I love cats and they have vanished. Love the game, very addictive so other than my albums disappearing its a really great game. 💜
subscription
i have been paying for the cheapest subscription for a couple months now. didn’t play the game for about 2 weeks and now it’s showing me ads again and won’t let me access the premium pictures even tho i have paid for the premium subscription. i have done “restore purchases” several times and it has stated that my purchases have been restored yet they haven’t even tho i have paid the subscription price this month. my premium perks are inaccessible. quite frankly im disappointed. i dont want to continue to play this game if it scams me out of my money.
It’s cool and fun but
I live for this game since you can paint and design at the same time! I love it but there’s only one error though whenever I try to click my saved data and press the “color” button. It always pauses me and I don’t know why? Can you fix this error please :p

I just downloaded this game and I’m really enjoying it! I loveeee that there is no energy so I’m not limited to how many pictures I can color at one time. Please keep it that way! But I will rate 4 stars because I see other reviews complaining about no updates for almost a year. I’m willing to pay for a subscription if more game is added.
It’s okay.
This is an okay game, but there are no instructions. There is a coin bag at the bottom but nothing to tell you how to use it or what it’s for. There are other things you can do - but nothing to tell you how. How you use them. It would be better if there was something to tell you how to do whatever - other than just coloring in the pictures. And how do you figure out what’s going on in the story? There is nothing to tell you how to figure out how to keep the story going. Altogether, it is very confusing.
VIP is not worth it.
It says it’ll provide access to VIP albums. I got one album that I finished quickly. I love the game, but the VIP is just not worth your money at all.

Love the game BUT…
I absolutely love this game. The pictures are super cute and they reward you with a decent amount of stars depending on the size of the pictures to make progressing fairly easy. The only complaints I actually have are about painting mechanics and app function. Sometimes when painting large spaces it completely misses blocks but will color literally every block around the one you’re trying to color. The game randomly zooms way in on the picture, making the screen go black and forces you to exit your painting back to the main menu and open it again to continue painting. The app also randomly forces closes mid painting for no reason, forcing you to reload the game to finish whatever picture you were on. Hoping for updates to fix these bugs and make the gameplay more enjoyable. Overall a great coloring app but has it’s bugs.
Fun for awhile
It was so fun for a long time but there hasn’t been any updates. You can earn stars but you can’t use them, so what is the point?
New update
I have really been enjoying this game for about a month now. I play it regularly and I really enjoyed the pacing. The new update made all of my stars needed for quests go from 16 to 36. I could understand if pictures got a star increase or there were better pictures worth much more, but that’s not the case. The pacing feels off now and I wish the star amount hadn’t been changed. I do enjoy the new paintbrush feature but I wish the cat and dog had stayed as part of the painting process, as it gave them more reason to be in the game at all. Overall, this game has been very fun and relaxing for me to play but I do hope some features can be adjusted so we can all continue to enjoy this game as much as when we first started playing!
Beautiful and Fun Gaming Experience
Firstly I want to say I almost never write game reviews but this game is beautiful I mean truly just a great experience, however lets start with the negative first, the new update that allows you to get premium pictures is, if you have premium i'm sure amazing, however the fact that they take up space in your ‘inventory’ when you don't have premium is a little frustrating, secondly it sometimes feels like progressing the story takes a lot of effort and feels like an uphill battle. Secondly I want to state that premium isn't expensive i think its like maybe $5 a month so not expensive at all for all of the perks you get with it, and albums that you can buy generally cost more but usually not over $10 which I also don't have a problem with, and for those that do remember this, the developers have put hours, days, and years into making this game a beautiful fun experience and deserve to be compensated for that work, and the price could be way worse for how great the game is. Lastly lets hit you with all the beautiful positives of this game: 1. the art is beautiful in its simple style and you can tell they put both time and effort into giving us different color options and styles to choose from for each decoration in the game, 2. the story plot is interesting and is constantly being updated and added to as to make sure we have plenty of it to play, 3. theres never a lack of fun, different sized pictures to play and you can even use some coins to change the picture if you don’t like what you get, even if you have to wait for them sometimes (when you think logically about it, it makes sense so you cant just speed run the whole game). Finally to drive it all home Ill say that i also am a chronic game deleter, I often install games only to play them for a couple hours or days and then delete them, however this game has been on my phone for well over a year and I have yet to get even slightly bored with it, I think this game is worth both the time and money (optional) that it takes! thank you for reading my review I know it was lengthy :)
Not enough free paintings.
I would love to give you more than one star but your game is all about you making money. I know you can make money by letting people look at ads to get more paintings. You shouldn’t have to have premium to get paintings. And we should be able to unlock them by once again watching ads.

I’m enjoying the story and coloring but you’re asking for way too many stars to do activities. 48 stars to fix a mouse is ridiculous. That’s a 2-5 star maximum activity. Just something to think about changing
Great but getting new paintings is a pain
The game is great but have to watch ads or spend money get get new paintings, watching an ad for every new paintings makes getting them super slow, annoying having to watch ads to actually play the game. Started freezing a lot recently and sometimes loose progress on the painting I was doing.

This game is beautiful! I love the aesthetics and the story. I’ve been playing every day for about a week. However, tasks get expensive too fast. That’s my only issue with the game though!

Ads galore and crashing
I originally played this before the changes and returned recently. At first the changes were great and I was very interested in the story while loving the artwork. However, the May 2022 update has added in ads galore where you are now forced to watch an ad before each drawing then you have to decide if you want to watch one when finished to increase coins. I could normally stomach through this, but my game keeps crashing meaning I watch more ads then I get to play. So disappointing for what seemed like a great game.
Lies!
I was going to rate this game 5 stars … but it’s SO DECEPTIVE! I purchased the $1.99 “No Ads”, still had ads. There were no written specifications with the purchase other than “No Ads”! It did not remove ads so I wrote customer service who stated it removes banners and spontaneous ads at the ends of levels. Furthermore the customer service rep stated “You can ignore the commercials if they bother you.” Wow! False advertising!! So I requested a refund on that and purchased the year subscription with “No more commercials.” I literally still have just as many commercials as before my purchase! When I make in-game purchases 99% of the time I just don’t want to watch commercials. I don’t care about the extras, I just don’t want to spend my game time watching commercials because that is not playing! When did watching commercials become a necessary part of gameplay?? I work full time and I’m a mom, when I get time to play, I want to play not watch commercials! Otherwise the game is fun … just don’t spend your cash! I’ll be requesting a refund for the year as well. I feel very cheated. I tried reloading the game, restarting my iPad, restoring purchases, still commercials so it comes down to false advertising. Too bad most of these companies are beyond the reach of the BBB or Consumer Protection. Update: As mentioned above I purchased a year subscription which also says “No Ads!” I took a screen shot of the offer. There should be absolutely no ads of any kind whatsoever. It doesn’t say less ads, some ads, or similar. In addition there’s an info bubble to click on that reiterates no ads! I didn’t even get less ads. No noticeable difference between pre-purchase and post purchase at all. I’m not exaggerating, literally no difference. When I got refunded the only difference was a new pop-up when entering the game prompting me to purchase the year sub (again). They don’t fulfill their end of the written deal no matter how they attempt to justify it in their reply. In fact, I DID contact customer service and nothing changed. I got a “Sorry, but deal with it” sort of reply (not in those exact words, but to summarize). Also: The game spontaneously crashes.
