Best App EVER
I am so happy I stumbled on this app! I was getting 15+ (sometimes 20+) political text messages DAILY. This app stops that! It’s working beautifully! Thank you to the developers!!
Unfortunately, ineffective
I believe this is an Apple issue and not caused by the developer.
It work on iOS 26; it runs but doesn't take effect.
Seems due to iOS 26 system restrictions, all third-party spam SMS and phone apps are ineffective, and Apple itself cannot effectively block spam. Similarly, third-party browsers are prohibited from using plugins, yet Apple integrates various browser plugins into Safari. Furthermore, the system cannot be downgraded to previous versions. This increasingly feels like domineering rather than privacy protection; privacy concerns are merely an excuse. Therefore this shows that Apple is more concerned with itself than with user experience. And user experience is like a marketing gimmick; the same goes for privacy protection in my personal experience. Based on my experience with Apple China, I feel that Apple's privacy protection and policy restrictions on applications are like a big rogue managing small rogues. Therefore this app is useless. Although it runs on iOS 26, it doesn't block spam SMS messages. The filtering rules still follow the system's built-in rules。
Best WINRED Filtering App
I rarely write reviews but this app kept me from losing my mind during the election. It seemed like there was no way to stop these constant texts. I was getting up to 30 a day in my Inbox. Replying STOP does not work. Once one candidate gets your number, the onslaught begins. These texts made me sorry I ever donated to a candidate. This app is the best, it filters all of them and puts them in a junk folder where they can be easily deleted.
Wounderful - removed my 20 daily political texts.
I now no longer receive those annoying political texts 20 times a day which were so distracting that I would switch text alerting off which meant I would miss important texts from friends and family. This app was easy to set up and use. I am so grateful to have restored the use of text messages without those annoying political texts
Used to work - No longer does
This app used to work well but no longer does. Constant spam messages from email addresses. Do not subscribe to their app. W A S T E OF M O N E Y.
Used to work now it doesn’t
When I first downloaded and set up this app (I paid for the higher level service and automatic filtering) it worked great. All of my spam political texts stopped immediately. Then beginning in October 2025 my iphone just started to blow up again with approximately 15 political texts a day. I checked and DontText is still checked off as what filters my texts. It just isn’t working anymore.

Worked good for a while
Unfortunately the “restore” functionality isn’t working and I can’t get it to recognize my subscription, thanks dev for looking at this.
It DID work but now it doesn’t
Garbage. After a few weeks it stopped working. I still receive texts from messages with keywords I blocked.
Works Too Well
At first I was amazed at how well this filter seemed to work. I immediately stopped receiving all political texts even though I had only created one single filter of a specific person’s name I was avoiding. However, after a month I realized it was filtering out so much important stuff, even though these texts did not contain the keyword. All my account reminders stopped coming for bills due, doctor appointments and specific text messages I had signed up for. I couldn’t figure out how to stop it from being overzealous in its filtering so I had to turn it off. Bummer.
Don’t text
Having gone for the no hassle I am not sure if this was a good idea as still receiving texts, don’t know how long it takes to work
This works immediately on free plan
I have been getting up to 20 political tax per day and no matter how much I say delete and report junk they keep coming back in full force. This app saved me so much agony from these urgent political messages that would stress me out all day. Overnight, my text is back to just personal people I love and filtering out the political texts. It’s been a lifesaver
Requires payment
The app does nothing unless you pay a monthly fee.
Major Flaw
This app would be pretty great but for one major flaw: it only works on green SMS messages, not on blue iMessages. They admit this themselves in their FAQ, but they should highlight this deficiency before you purchase.
Satisfied
Since using my junk text have almost disappeared
TOOK MY MONEY DOES NOT FUNCTION
You will not be able to use your subscription in the current version. Tested on latest stable iOS as of review time. I have paid for a year subscription, but I am not getting any of the benefit - the texts aren’t blocked, and the “Restore” button, instead of letting me use what I paid for, just does nothing - no error, no other activity.
Not for small phones
Sadly can’t accommodate phones with small screens. Can’t see the part of the screen that shows the button to complete set up. I tried using it on my mom’s tiny phone and had to download it to my larger phone to figure out why it wasn’t working. Too bad, was hoping for an app to protect her from spam.
Great app
This App is the best I have come across. I have tried several and they didn’t do such a great job. Very easy to set up. The keyboard block works great. Instead of getting hundreds of text, I just get a few, which can manually be deleted or refine the keyword block option. Having tried for a few weeks I am going to go for the subscription which is very very cheap. Thank you developer are such a fantastic tool. What a relief.
Not much help so far
Lots of texts coming through asking for money.
Don Cline
Is not blocking ads from WINRED, either text or e-mails.
Absolutely a life saver
This app freed us from unwanted political texts that flooded our phones text messages daily. They were unrelenting until we tried this app… now instead of an average of 35 a day we have zero. Simple to use and you get your normal phone back!!!
Word for a few days, then stopped
Worked for a few days and then just doesn’t do anything anymore
Really doesn’t work
Since downloading this app, I am still receiving tons of spam messages. I can’t even tell if it’s reduced it
TextKiller is better
I switched from TextKiller to this because TextKiller does not have the option to block texts from email addresses. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t have the ability to automatically filter all texts to spam if they are not in my contacts, so I have already gotten three spam texts since I signed up. I just unsubscribed and am going back to TextKiller.
Love it!
I’ve all but forgotten about the curse of spam texts....this app is great!
Disappointing
Filters don’t work. Maybe if you pay for the upgrade but not in the free version.
Caught all my political spam texts
Unlike other text spam filters, this app allows you to target specific words or phrases for free (eg “stop2end”). I instantly got relief from the 10+ spam texts I was receiving daily (my # is from a swing state) despite trying other apps. Most effective one I’ve used by far.
Subscribed
Doesn’t work, just always tells me to upgrade but I subscribed and resort purchases does nothing
