Trash App, useless
I gave one star since I can’t give lower than that. This app doesn’t even deserve to be called an app, always had errors, crashes, and I can’t even buy seats (apparently if you fly with Batik they INSIST you can only buy seats from this app, yet you can’t even do that). What a joke.

Aplikasi sampah, setiap mau payment selalu gagal, dipake web check in eror berkali kali. Kalo gak siap bikin app mending kaga usah dirilis. Maskapain dan aplikasinya sama sama butut wkwkwk. Ga usah pusing, mending beli di OTA yang sudah terpercaya.
Objective review: It’s a bad app
I genuinely do not understand how this app has such a high rating on the App Store based on my experience. The interface is extremely poor, confusing, and difficult to navigate. Basic information is not clearly displayed, and simple pre-flight steps become unnecessarily frustrating. The app feels unfinished, almost like a beta version rather than a live app used by an airline operating international routes. The overall user experience is messy, unintuitive, and unreliable. It was so bad that I eventually gave up and used Booking.com instead, which should not be necessary when the Lion airline group has its own official app. On top of that, the English used in the app is very VERY poor. For an airline app used by international passengers, this is unacceptable. The wording is awkward, unclear, contains grammatical errors, and in some parts is difficult to understand. It gives the impression that the app was not properly reviewed before being released to the public…. For an airline operating international routes, the app should meet a basic standard of usability, clarity, and language quality. At the moment, the experience feels unprofessional and creates unnecessary stress for passengers.

Have tried several times on several different phones and it keeps crashing. Literally only thing I downloaded it for was to check-in, and it couldn’t do that. What are you for?

Customer service run by donkeys
App is okay; sometimes doesn’t work. But, when you had to make changes, customer service is super poor, can only be contacted by WhatsApp or email, and as there is no point of escalation or complaint area. All the agents are practically dumbasses due to Indonesia’s low standard of workers.
Change Of Personal Details
Setup an account but happen to mistype mobile number the last digit. Contacted support and was informed to delete the account and setup a new account with a new email. Why should i create a new email just to use this app? Doesn’t make sense.

Not working
I have account in batik air app. Tried to check-in it suggested to use bookcabin. Tried to register new user in bookcabin but the app threw error message "Unable to register user due to reason unknown" Tried to login in bookcabin using existing batik air account but the app threw error message "Login Not Allowed on this platform". Contacted customer support via we chat. He/she told me that the batik air account has not migrated to bookcabin. He/she suggested to register new account using new email and new phone number. What kind of suggestion was that. Not everyone has more than one phone number. My suggestion: let the existing user to use old app or website if the new app is not ready or the migration has not completed. By forcing everyone to use not ready application you definitely decrease customer satisfaction. PS: don't give default response to write to customer service to report the problem because I've done that. Check the web chat on 6 March 2025 with agent Kiki Eka.
