The lyrics app
I love this app it’s the best
Bad but working
Overall it‘s stable but clunky. There‘s no lyric tool for rhymes or metaphors and the Recording Features are quite odd.
Structure
The app is terrific. I wish there was a way to separate the song into verses, chorus, bridge, etc. Also maybe a way to add a simple piano to keep the melody permanent.
Not worth it
Only people that actually have experience can use it but still it wasn’t working for me if you have no experience and just started don’t get this
So great but it deleted all my songs
I LOVE this app so so much it helped me a lot but I was adding a lyric to a song then it kicked me out the app and deleted ALL my songs then it gave me back 20 songs but they were my bad songs but I had 97 songs and the good ones were gone so I thought that I could wait and nothing happend.
Easy to use. Simple. A must have for song writers.
This app has a few features without going overboard. They include rhymes and a thesaurus. You can pick the theme or color of the text, and pick the writing mode (line by line or by sections). You can put the songs into different folders to organize your work. This is purely to write songs and record melodies, it doesn’t include the instruments, like if you wanted to add piano. It is super simple and a great way to start songs and ideas. Too much more complex details would make this way too overwhelming for a beginner and if you are looking for something simple or a place to start writing your lyrics, which is as important as the background music and melodies, this is the app for you. I have been using it for almost two years now, and I have written so many songs. Some I create the entire song, some I put into Ai to see what instruments/instrumental music they add, and some I just create melodies for, and some don’t even give me a second thought. I just write those to write those. This is a must need.
The emperor’s be clothes!
This is fully worth the asking price (£0) Nothing I can see or press Takes me to Anything that lets me do ANYTHING! An hour of my life I will never get back… Thank you you really got me there! Unfortunately 1 star is the least available option…
Been great
Super helpful! Just wish I could layer voice recordings and trim them. I would also like a metronome or a way to write rhythm.
Fix the app I can’t open it when I lets me sometimes none of my audio is there
Title says it all
Doesn’t always save
This app is great for writing songs; unfortunately it randomly erases or doesn’t save lyrics sometimes, and there’s no “save” button or anything to prevent that from happening. You just leave the app and hope it saved what you wrote.
Simple and Convenient for anyone 😁
This app is really handy for many things music. I even made my own song >:D Anyways For those who are wanting to get this app, I think this is really convenient for anyone who wants to… well… make lyrics, of course! I know the concept is simple, but I really enjoy it.
Fix this PLEASE
So I don’t know if I’m dumb or what, but I finished writing my lyrics and when I record it it goes buy so fast. The recording doesn’t even make a sound. Someone reply to me on how to do it CORRECTLY please
Needs export or backup feature to Google Drive
Great product.
Not ok
When you record it and play it nothing happens this not ok
Would like security feature and sign in
I like the app but I really want a sign in feature so you don’t lose songs if the app somehow gets deleted. I would also like some way for the app to be password- protected, since songs are very emotionally vulnerable!
Cloud Sync Is Awesome!!!
I was so pleased to discover that when I installed the app on another device, all my songs came flying in. Wow! What a huge time-saver. This is my go-to app for those early stages when crafting the lyrics and melody. A real one-stop shop and so easy to use yet so powerful.
What?
They said you put in a title and it makes the song for you but it doesn’t. You can’t play the audio recording all at once to actually make a song.
W (one tweak)
I love this app! It’s super duper useful. Peak app and I love how simple it is. It might just be my phone but for me it gets pretty laggy and when I first open the app I have to wait a few seconds before it lets me click on one of my songs. Other than that highly recommend.
Crash bug!
I been getting crashes whenever i have a mouse and/or keyboard connected to my iPad. Other than that, it’s a great app.
I really like this app!
This app is great, it does exactly what it says, no ads, and it’s free! Well deserved 5 stars, I’d give ya six if I could
Great!
I wish I could add the instrumental music playing
Needs an import option
Good app for collating lyrics and recording on the go, however would be much better if there was an option to import recordings from other places like voice recorder or files. My band members send me recordings but I can't add them to the app
Thank you for making this
This was just what I needed to have everything on one screen. If you’re ever looking for suggestions, the ability to add inline chords with the lyrics would make it even better.
Fairly nice
I enjoy this app, it gives me the ability to write down my music with out forgetting the tune I came up with. I just wish it would help me with the tunes and would give me suggestions on what I could do. I also wish it would put my song all together other than just the parts. But other than those minor things I love this app!
It’s great but…
I was writing and it deleted half my song for no reason. I couldn’t stop it from doing it (bye-bye half my song.) also it doesn’t let you "return" like this: " ". You have to do ten million spaces.
It's great
The fact that it's free is a blessing, but if I had to a (one-time) price for it, I wouldn't complain at all. It's absolutely perfect for its intended purpose.
My recordings and lyrics are gone
I have no idea what happened! My lyrics and recordings suddenly just disappeared and it says I haven’t touched my songs since Thursday. Why is this happening?
Works for personal use
Please make a function for you to be able to share a folder with someone
Love it overall
Overall I love the app so much it’s easy to use and I love that you can record your voice on it to but I do wish it could help write lyrics for the song
Incredibly helpful app
I love this app and I would give it five stars, but the only thing that’s holding me back is that you can’t delete empty lines. Sometimes I decide I don’t want a line completely and it messes the format of the page up a little. Other than that though I have to say again this app has been suuuuuper helpful in the songwriting process. Just recording a guitar idea over a lyric to remember for later is insanely useful and I wouldnt ever use a lyric app other than this one ! :))
3 Star rating
I Like the app and everything the feature is amazing but the only thing that I can’t do is play back the recording when I need to replay a certain part of my music. That’s the only issue I have with the app if that can be fixed if possible.
Great
It a great way for a lyricist to keep track of his lyrics
Mostly amazing
This is really awesome but could we please be able to 1. Add album art. It would even be cool if we could basically replace files with albums. But even if you keep it as files that’s cool if we can add an album image. 2. The sorting. There’s a couple sorting options but I really need full custom sorting. If I need to move a song to it’s correct position I have to basically delete all entries for the file and start over. Please let us just (example swap song 4 with song 2) within the file. Other than that I’m using this app instead of onenote from now on thank you for an awesome app! As someone who has been writing lyrics since about 2007 as a child I do love this app. The way you implement the voice recording with the song file is so clean i love it.
My response
I like it, but I’m trying to find out how to make different parts in this song
Wow
This is such a great app, I just finished writing a song from scratch and the pieces sound great together even from different takes I definitely recommend this app to song writers who want to see their lyrics come to life!!
Review
This app is a wonderful app I just couldn’t figure out how to add any beats to it but other than that it’s amazing
I love this app but…
I cannot figure out how to export anything. I want to be able to send my files somewhere. It would not be too hard to expose the local files so that I can just copy the audio into other apps.
