Exactly what I needed!
The Lovebug app is a lifesaver for new parents! Its user-friendly sleep tracking and helpful advice improved our baby's sleep routine immensely. A must-have app!
I wish it worked
I loved this app 4 yrs ago with my son but now it drives me crazy. If you don’t stay on the app while your baby is feeding then when you go back it makes the timer into this smaller one on the home page & when you hit finish feed it changes the time to 7pm. EVERY TIME. When you are sleep deprived at 3am it’s really hard to remember exactly what time your baby started feeding. Then you have to go back in and change it. Just more stuff you have to do. I have done everything to try to fix it and nothing has worked.
We love it
Basically all the same good stuff others say. We have it on an old phone of ours that goes with her if she’s getting babysat and her sitters love it bc the answers are all right there for what she needs or why she’s fussing. I didn’t do 5 stars just because I wish it would take into account vaccines and how that can affect their sleep. It lets you enter them and everything but I wish it would acknowledge their affects.
Not user friendly
I want to like this app but it’s features are not user friendly at all. It makes it difficult to log sleep sessions when it keeps trying to go to the previous day, and it also keeps telling me I have a session running but I can’t figure out where. Not sure if I will keep this app or not.
It does have a lot of potential BUT…
Its way too complicated. Not straightforward at all. Also, the price??? Are you kidding me?? No way this is worth it.
This app changed my life!
My son is 9 months old and we decided to give sleep training a shot! I was always hesitant because I was nervous of the lack of support. This app helped me feel supported, the videos/lessons themselves answered many of the questions I had and meeting Jenica during our video call really solidified the quality of support I was receiving. I have recommended this app to many friends and will continue to do so! We are sleeping through the night, for the first time in 9 months and my entire household is happier and healthier. Thank you so so much!
Forces a subscription
Already used this for the free logging. It will lock you into a forced subscription page and won’t let you exit unless you log out. It happens multiple times a day.
Love, But…
I LOVE this app for tracking my sons sleep. I just REALLY wish you could export the data and see trends. Weekly nap times, weekly bedtimes, and sleep changes; as well as export it to a spreadsheet of some sort for our doctor. I would pay the subscription for that. I also love how this app separates nap time from bedtime. It’s one of the only apps that allows that. This app is also very simple compared to others that provide way to much info. I love the simplicity.
Good if you are guessing
I was recommended this app by a friend. Although there’s an option to go by wake windows, the app is consistently off by 15 - 30min. What’s worse, the feeding times are off by hours. My LO is mostly EBF and still feeds every two hours. Imbut every morning it will say, the next feeding is 3.5 hours later, even though I’ve set it to ever my two hours. I’ve been using for about 2 weeks. I’ll give it another week before deleting it.
Confusing
OK so this is my second attempt to be on this app. My husband insisted on it so I thought I would give it a try. I couldn’t remember why I tried it but didn’t like. Well after I was logging all the naps the detailed diapers and logging her sleep and feeds I was so excited to get the results the next day. BUT NO. because I did not log the “routine “ of the map which is SO CONFUSING (I literally just watch the tutorial video and it doesn’t make sense to me. ) -so I have to start all over and try to figure that part out. Otherwise there is no analytics to this. I wish I could just log her naps and wake up time and let that be enough. But no you have to log a routine. Which is kind of dumb because I don’t have a routine for naptime. I put on the boob and rock her to sleep. Where’s that app? Lol
Schedule made easy
Lovebug app makes scheduling of sleep and naps so easy even when baby has hard days. The videos that match up with baby and parent needs were so helpful and appreciated Jenica’s compassionate and supportive tone in her video lessons. Many thanks for making this app for parents like me who are learning about baby sleep development!
Don’t waste your precious time
This app does not log times or activities consecutively and it is not at all user friendly. You’ll be wasting your time. Find another app PLEASE!!!!!
Broken
This app has great potential but unfortunately just doesn’t work. It doesn’t calculate durations correctly for sleep. It glitches out and assigns events to the wrong day of the week. It also sorts the activities in random order and doesn’t allow the user to sort chronologically. This app needs serious improvement, I do not recommend it.
Too complicated and glitchy
The app was really slow to load everything, thus inputting the info would take longer. I found it more annoying than helpful, I think there may be a better sleep app out there. Not worth the big price tag!
Sleep consult calls were great and the videos
The education videos for each phase were awesome. The way the app tracks the sleep transitions was helpful. Jenica was overall great to work with, very knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and patient. I enjoyed working with her during the year subscription period we had for our child.
Difficult to use / figure out
The app is a bit complicated to use. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to add basic information like when my baby ended her night or when she woke up after being put down. Maybe a tutorial walking through the details could help.
Not that helpful
This app immediately started recommending 4 hour wake windows for my 6 month baby. When he obviously couldn’t do that, it told me have him nap for 3 hours. What?? In comparison to Huckleberry, the interface is harder to use. It also doesn’t show patterns in sleep visually like Huckleberry. Too much money for little function.
It’s okay.
It’s nice that it tracks the sleep/eating but honestly you have you buy the most expensive option in order to receive what the app is made to do.
Best App For New Parents
So much support, guidance. SO incredibly intuitive. Would love a little Apple Watch companion app to log a feed without whipping out my brick (📲). No complaints just great.
Updated Review - No customer service
My original review is below. I had success with the app during its earlier days but now that it has been around for a few years the developers seem to have all but abandoned it. I have requested support on two different occasions. The first is mentioned below, when the app stopped updating after my son turned 15 months. Never got a reply after their initial response. The second request for support was after the recent app update where they added dark mode. The app stopped working entirely across multiple devices. I contacted the company and got no response. I used to have a $20/month subscription but it’s canceled now and the app deleted. Developers seem to have moved on from Lovebug to focus on other endeavors. It doesn’t feel like it’s anyone’s priority anymore, as is obvious from the lack of support or social media presence. It’s really unfortunate, because it was a good product with good potential for growth. —- This app helped me figure out sleep for my first born. When I had my son I knew generally how to help him sleep and the number of hours of overall sleep to aim for based on his age, but I still struggled. This app connected all the dots, I watched every lesson, and my little one has a solid nap schedule and bedtime routine unlike a lot of other infants/toddlers I would read or hear about. The problem came at 15 months. Despite continuing to pay for the premium service ($19.99/mo), and it app supposedly being set up to continue until the child is 2, the app stopped providing guidance and stopped explaining anything. No lessons after 15 months. Also, despite my little one still requiring 2-3 hours of naptime, the app started cutting the time short without explanation. I contacted Support and I received an immediate reply acknowledging my email, which I now suspect was an automated message. No one ever followed up with me so I replied back saying I still needed help. Again, nothing. So I have reduced my subscription down to the $2.99/month and will likely just cancel altogether because I’m not getting anything from it at this point. I checked social media for Lovebug and nothing has been posted since 2022. I suspect there isn’t a lot going on in the background anymore. I would have given 5 stars if not for the lack of customer service. At least I have benefited from it for this long. I feel for people just joining who need tech support.
Not worth the price
Good app but definitely not worth the price as it doesn’t has many features yet, like editing the previous day times. Also the schedule doesn’t gets asjusted if the naps vary.
Too expensive
Once you’ve watched some videos in the first few weeks, it feels like the value has gone down. I pay $30 a month to track naps basically as I don’t watch the videos or know what else to do with it. Will cancel next month.
Life saver
This app saved my sanity and helped my little nugget get consistent sleep. Most helpful app I’ve ever purchased.
Does not add to log .
At first this app was amazing I was going to get the pro of it then it started not adding naps / feeding to the daily log . So now I see no point in paying for something that doesn’t work!
Fantastic app!!
My wife and I didnt really know what to do and it was sort of complicated so we first started using taking Cara babies and it was horrible. 3 hours in front of a desktop? Yeah, like I'm going to do that. This was really easy. Quick tips. Actionable insights. Awesome sleep coach. We love it.
Not a free app
Ok it’s free to download but you go through the hassle of entering all the details just to have to subscribe. No thanks.
Switched from huckleberry to Lovebug
Our family started with huckleberry but the schedule was so off. You have to choose your whole deal and the point is that this does it for you. Do your selves a favor and download Lovebug and it will save your family.
Rubbish
Super hard to use, you can’t log anything from the past (during the night) and when I finally managed to remember to log whilst breastfeeding my 7month old, while half asleep then logged back on the end his nap and everything had disappeared. Really not what you need when your 7+months into sleep deprivation…. More frustration 😂 give it a massive miss and focus your time on bubba.
Game Changer
I love this app because it makes nap times and nap transitions seamless. It has been so helpful in figuring sleep out. My 6 mo old son is now sleeping 11 hour stretches at night thanks to wake and bedtime timing suggestions. Their customer service is great too, will be using this on any future kids as well!
Don’t download unless you want to pay
Waste of time. Nothing is free. Purely an app for subscription. Deleted within 5 mins.
Saved my Sanity
I was so desperate to get my son to sleep when I found Lovebug. I’m not even kidding when I say it saved my sanity! Within a day or two, I had my son taking long naps in his crib after only contact napping for weeks. And the app has only gotten better! They roll out constant updates that we love! Now we can log sleep, feeds, diapers and even health related info. I don’t ever review apps, but I can’t recommend Lovebug enough!
Poor ap, no flexibility, cry it out option only and even then doesn’t work!
Ap has very little flexibility for real life. Only preset options and is only suitable for cry it out parents. Plus it doesn’t even work properly when you have to do something different, like when your baby is sick. For example if you put night sleep in where you have to go and get your baby out of bed, when you try to put the second half of the night sleep in the stupid ap thinks that they have been awake from the end of the first night sleep? there are WAY better apps out there so go elsewhere!
