Top Aber.
Feature Requests!
Flashtex is truly brilliant! I've been using it for almost a year, and it has genuinely helped me ace various exams. Thank you for creating such an invaluable tool. I have two suggestions that would make it even better: * Text Highlighting: Please add the ability to highlight text directly in the edit section with various colors, similar to this orange example: <span style="background-color: orange;"> </span>. * Custom Card Order: Could you please implement a custom ordering option (along with name, date, etc.) where I can manually drag and drop flashcards to arrange them in my preferred sequence within a list? Keep up the amazing work!
Farben in Lernkarten
PLEASE FIX
I’m writing this in a semi fit of rage as for the millionth time my sketch has been deleted. I love the app, it’s great, however sometimes when writing sketches it will randomly shut the flashcard down, but don’t worry it restores the editor, right? WRONG. It doesn’t back up any handwriting so everything that you have been writing for the past god knows how long is deleted and back to the drawing board we go again. It’s super frustrating, never mind time consuming, I don’t know why the flash cards close, could be an accidental click on the screen or swipe up or you go to see another app or it just decides to close, but this is the most frustrating thing ever. PLEASE. FIX. THIS. IM. ON. THE. EDGE.
Nice spaced repetition tool!
I've tried several tools like this, and this one was the most polished and had the right feature set while being reasonably priced.
Glitch
Keeps glitching lately. Not sure if update is needed
(also ich schreibe z.B. 1. Zweck, 2. Schreiben, 3. Auswerten, etc. -> 1. Zweck, 1. Schreiben, 1. Auswerten) 3.
excellent app
I use this app everyday for learnning Japanese
Haven’t been able to use app.
I just downloaded the app and it asked me for a review. Since I was unable to use it yet I have to give a 1 star.
⛓️🥹
Any application that the user works on with his own effort and does not support the import and export of his data to Nambers or Excel does not deserve to waste my time on him, imprisoning the user in nature, monopolising and exploitation are destructive qualities for competition and development. Only greed believe that it is a savvy to make the user a prisoner of their applications, hoping that this culture will not generalise because it will destroy freedom of choice and competition.
The rooms of improvement
Regretfully, it is not available to rate 3.5 star on app store or it can represent my ture grading of this app. Having using this app for three days, I found there are some unconveniences. 1. connot adjust the font size, bolding even the highlighting of words 2.arranging order of deck is fixed e.g. alphabetical order and not flexible to be continued...
Great App
There aren’t many flashcard apps that implement LaTex. I love this one. Thanks to the developer for continuing to update it with fixes and features.
Decent Flashcard App
Well thought out. Easy to use. Would really love if it had image occlusion or cloze deletion.
Overall a good app, but with some MAJOR annoyances
I have the paid (unlimited) version of this app. Overall it is a good app. However, there are some MAJOR annoyances. For example... 1-The keyboard blocks the save button so every time you want to add a new card, you have to close down the keyboard first 2-You can't easily see the total card counts for the decks - this important info should be readily available 3-Custom study options are not global - you have to set them for each deck - this takes a long time as I have like 40 decks. Unfortunately the built-in options are persistent - you have to make changes to them for each new deck. For example, I hate the ugly brain icon but it keeps reappearing with each new deck. The study options (BOTH built-in and custom) should be global so you only have to change them in (or add them to) one place and not 40+ (unlimited really) places Some wish list items... 1-More icons would be nice for the study options 2-More color options are neded for deck colors 3-Please relegate the tip jar to the settings screen ONLY - it is annoying to see an 'are you enjoying Flashtex' button (which is an appeal for a tip) EVERY SINGLE TIME you review some of your own flash cards (it's like a waiter asking for a tip every time he brings you a napkin, water, refill, etc.). I'm LESS likely to want to give a tip if you ask constantly. Some questions... 1-Version history says questions can have background color - how is this done? I don't see this option anywhere 2-Version history says text to speech s/b available, but I haven't found an option to do both question AND answer. How to have text-to-speech on both question AND answer? I will assume some of the icon choices are just to offer colorful options and not intending to offend anyone. I hope I am correct in my assumption. I like this app overall, so I really hope you will fix above issues. If so, should then be 5 stars. Thanks.
wow!
Im amazed how many features this app has! I hated anki cuz of how ugly and non user friendly it was. Not this app, its what i wanted anki TO BE. I use this app everyday. The creator is very quick to respond AND fix any bugs. I hope one day we get folders within folders :) Best 12 bucks I ever spent. Thank you for such a cool app.
Pretty Good
I like the app because you are able to use LATEX as well as put in drawings and pictures. However, whenever I use it on my laptop it crashes after a while.
Fast perfekt
good app but wont let me import images
I need this to study for school and everything is great however it wont let me drop images which is huge for my study sets. I dont understand why if it says drop image here but it literally wont take it everytime i try to drop it. :/ so annoyed going to have to delete. UPDATE::: changed from 3-4 stars because i figured it out, you can only include images that are jpegs
This App is Great––A Few Requests, However
I would really appreciate a way to look through cards one by one in a deck while also having the option to easily edit them. Presently, there is an option to look at all your cards for a deck, which doesn't let you edit them while doing so, or you can go one by one through your cards and edit them, but to move on to the next card you need (1) to hit a back button to view all cards, (2) select the new card, (3) hit edit, (4) hit save, and then (5) hit back, and then repeat the process. If you could at most have to hit edit and submit once and then move on to the next card with a, I don't know, "next card" button or shortcut, then that would be nice. Even better if you could view all cards in an edit mode. Maybe there's already a work around for this, so take this request with a grain of salt––assuming this review will ever be read, which is unlikely. The other more serious request I have is that I you should be able to move cards between decks. Add an option on a card to "move this card to another deck" or after selecting a deck to "select cards to move" or something like that. It would be tremendously helpful I think. Notwithstanding my requests and issues, this is a great app if you would like to, as the name of the app suggests, create flashcards that have latex functionality.
Latex based system that outperforms anki
This app is wonderful and much nicer to use than Anki. I hope however, the author solves some bugs that come up when one tries to edit the cards on mac. Other than these bugs on the mac app, the app is wonderful!
SO helpful for college!
I love this app because it offers multiple ways to organize your cards (decks, tags, etc.) and has full markdown support. The text editor is pretty laggy once you enter about 20 cards or so into a deck, though. I would love to see some optimizations made to the smoothness of the editor!
Sometimes Glitchy with long Flashcards
I restarted the app several times and nonetheless found that if I included more than around two paragraph’s worth of text in a card answer that the text would perversely cut and paste sections of itself throughout, garbling up everything and preventing any corrections because those too would, for lack of a better term, glitch out and cause some other seemingly random garbling of text elsewhere. This was clearly a bug and, for obvious reasons, not appreciated. While I’m airing my grievances I might as well also mention that I am disappointed that there is no feature (as far as I’m aware) to move cards between decks or mass edit decks in a more streamline fashion than is currently available. All this being said, I still am happy that this app exists.
Favorite flash card app
Great app that is packed with features and options for customization. Super smooth and easy to use too. I can tell a lot of thought and care went into making this app, so hats off to the developer!
Very good learning tool
You can adjust how it shows you the cards, edit the cards even while studying, add pictures and sounds etc. It’s sometimes glitchy when making cards but nothing huge. I made 300 in short time
Great app for learning
This is a very good at for writing down things you need to learn. Very versatile, and it works for me. Very helpful and good app. Would really help for things you need to learn and remember.
Review
So far I like how neat the decks can be organized. The simplicity is nice. Maybe later on we can have the ability to upload documents into the app so we can have an easier way of writing the flash card and not having to go back and forth between the app and the document.
