Fix your game please, widowmaker course is unplayable. Big gripe: if the ball is in the fairway, and I’m putting from near a tree, the ball should not hit said tree. This game is infuriating

Used to be great
I first found this game early in its life and loved it. Any long car ride, big spouts of boredom, or even needing to kill time before something, this game was awesome. Felt fresh and new Recently picked it back up due to a really long road trip to return disappointed. The game itself felt like its original self, but the overall experience was far from it. I understand there’s always ads and it had them prior as well, but it’s insane how much it’s flooded now for wanting to purchase an ad blocker. I unlocked the pro tour of the first 9 hole course and had 9 ads…. I couldn’t finish a hole without having to sit through a pointless minute ad then get flooded saying play our other games or purchase no adds. Super disappointing to see it’s got lost to the average day and age app of micro transactions. Fun game, but almost unbearable with the new state of the app.
Where are the lefty golfers?
For some reason the app decided to be rightist and not include us left handers. A simple toggle would do.

Gameplay
The pixel games are good fun, without long term dedication or sinking tons of time and money in. My only complaint about golf is the fact that when you start a hole the game basically suggests where to hit and with what club. There are tons of holes where it suggests you hit into the trees, and of course you need to use judgement but it’s misleading when you’re on hole 12/18 and you end up wasting 3 shots basically forcing you to restart

Inconsistency
The inconsistency with the power, range, and accuracy in this game is stupid (having the meter hit anywhere but the direct center of the green area will cause your shot to be skewed). Not to mention that hitting slightly too hard over the hole will be a missed putt. Doesn’t make sense.

Amazing game that’s why I’m complaining though is that it could be better maybe like a practice range or putting range to setup like ur own hole or something and maybe a like online 2v2 or like a scramble format or even a 2v cpu would be sick so me and my brother could play not only against but with.

Trees
Definitely a good overall game but the trees genuinely make it so annoying. In real life trees are 90% air, and even if you do get stuck, you can always punch out onto the fairway. But in this game, if you even grace the side of a tree it completely stops your ball and you have no chance of getting anything better than a double bogey. What I really think would make the game better is to add a punch out feature where it keeps the ball low, just so you can at least advance the ball and set up your next shot.
Tree mechanics are awful
Good game, fun for the most part but the tree mechanics are atrocious and make no sense. Shots that logically for no reason should be landing amongst the trees do. Additionally, in the power calibrating mechanism at the high end is not very clear.
Ads and trees
Potential to be one of the best golf games on the App Store, but there’s a few tweaks that I feel need to be done. Firstly, the ads and in app purchases. I’m not bothered with the in app purchases, they’re all relatively fair and reasonable. However, getting ads after every other hole is ridiculous. If you play 18 you’ll be seeing 9-10 ads. That’s far too many. Secondly, the trees and how you aim your shots. Trees in this game stop your ball completely. Every time. Even if you graze them, your ball is dead on the spot. On top of that, the hit box for almost all the trees are far too big. making the tight, tree covered courses more annoying than actually challenging. Aiming around or over trees is very annoying as well because you’re not sure how high your ball will be flying, or if your ball is aiming into one. There’s a few other little things, like making the putting meter different than the rest. Don’t get me wrong, really great game.

Everything about the game is good besides the trees. They just sometimes catch your ball when there is no reason they should. And if the trees are gonna be like that some of the pin locations being tucked behind trees you can’t get over makes no sense.
Fun but Mediocre
Lots of little issues make this fun but mediocre. The slopes and power meters effect are inconsistent, the guide lines up with the trees on certain holes, and the ball immediately falls to the trunk of the tree instead of powering through the leaves like in real life. Worst is the random wind effects, anything over 5MPH is a crapshoot for how it will impacts your shot. All are worsened in the tournament mode.
Fix the trees please!
This game is amazing except for one simple fact. The trees are ridiculous. In real golf in the trees maybe adds one stoke not 5. Should be able to change to a punch shot or something.

The game is super fun. I love how you can shape the ball when you need and use the wind. There’s just a few things that would make this game perfect; Making the the trees see through when in front of your ball, A different meter for putting, a clearer guide line, backspin option, and a vertical line of trajectory.

8.4/10 - Underrated Game (+ Player Created Maps)
Suggestion: Player created Maps I’ve been playing this game on and off for years and it is one of my all time favorites. It can be so frustrating but it is the definition of easy to learn hard to master. Hitting that shot takes a combination of timing, familiarity with wind strength and direction, and knowledge of how the ball reacts when it hits rough vs fairway, and more. Watching the ball slowly plink into the hole on a 9.4 wind shot over the water and down a decline makes you feel like you are a master of the game. That is what makes this such a good game. Precision. In later courses, this is what matters. The wind is whipping back and forth, fairways are barely reachable and milliseconds are the difference between a perfect setup shot and sending your ball careening into the water. But when you hit it! Oh my god it’s like nothi- oh $#*!🤦♂️ of course the top of the branch of the tallest tree in the world is just sitting in the way and my perfectly hit ball barely catches a single branch of a tree, sending my beautiful shot plummeting into a guaranteed double bogey on the 16th hole of a course its taken me years to beat and now I can’t come in 1st. But that is what makes the game so rewarding. You have to know the course, know the terrain, and more than anything, understand wind strength and direction. Great physics, gameplay is as frustrating as it is rewarding. If you’re a gamer you know that one doesn’t come without the other. Suggestion: Player created maps. I would 1000% pay money to be able to create my own maps in this game. Imagine the community you could make if players could create and share their own maps. Some could become known as the most challenging and a trophy to win. Fairways could be impossibly thin challenging your accuracy and consistency. A feature that allows you to place fairways, rough, trees, inclines, water, sand bunkers, tall grass, and a hole would mean there would always be another course to try, another opportunity to hit that perfect shot.

Makes no sense why you needed to put ads in this. Game is great. But ads every round, exhausting.
Fix Your Trees!
This game is really fun except for one mechanic. The trees are HORRIBLE. In real golf, trees are 95% air. In this game, they stop your ball dead no matter what. The hit boxes for the trees are also too big. If I am hitting a 9 iron over a tree, if the ball is 100% visible over the tree, why is it acting like I hit the tree? I clearly made it over. There have also been multiple instances where I get knocked down by a tree, and I am in front of the trunk, so I try to use a low iron to punch out, and it hits the same tree trunk. This makes NO SENSE. I am in front of it, I shouldn’t have to take a drop just because the game doesn’t recognize that I’m not obstructed any more This mechanic NEEDS to be fixed. This game is a joy to play otherwise, but in real golf, trying to get out of the trees is something that is possible. In this game it’s a death sentence and an automatic +5 to whatever your score might be. Courses are meant to be challenging. I like fighting the wind, fast greens, difficult forced carries. I don’t like fighting with a broken mechanic that removes all skill from the game and turns it into a crapshoot of tree hit boxes. I suggest having trees put a huge hamper on the balls flight, but only knocking the ball out of the air some of the time, and make it possible to punch out with low irons

This is a really fun game and I enjoy playing it and it would 100% be a five star if there wasn’t an ad after every hole it is kind of ridiculous

You have to be perfectly on point with the bar to hit it good but 70 percent of the time you over hit it even if you get both greens, but it’s a fun game to play I guess

I’m so tired of seeing AppStore reviews complaining about ads in a game. When you spoiled children grow up do you plan on working for free? Devs have families to feed. Just like your mommy and daddy feed you. Take a short break from complaining, get a job, work for 1 hour then quit. You’ll then have enough money to buy the remove ads. Few things in life truly free buttercup. Great game EXCEPT judging the height of trees is difficult. A solid line connecting the aim dots that becomes dashed when you’re aiming through a tree is what needs to happen. Also add a color blind option for the dots, I often have to use the aiming arrows to get movement to see the dot location. 1 in 10 males are colorblind after all. It’s called accessibility and devs should care.

This game saved me from getting murdered by who I thought I was my friend in Minecraft. He was waiting for me in my house but because of how fun this game was I never made it home and because of that, my life was saved. I will forever owe pixel golf for my life and I highly suggest you guys download it immediately. 4/5 stars for me.

Good Game but needs a fix
Whenever you hit into the trees there is no reason why you should have to stare at the “Hit Into Trees” title for 5 seconds. Make it where you can just tap and the animation will go away and you can hit your next shot.
Fun game but way too many ads…
I enjoy the simple older style games like this, but man the ads are insane! You can play 1 maybe 2 holes before you have to watch an ad… I’m playing it still but not nearly as much as I would due to the amount of ads. I go play retro football with no ads with most of my free time!
