Innovative and Informative!
A perfect weather app. The innovative, beautiful graphics convey a tremendous amount of information easily digestible with a quick look. The numerous widgets are well conceived and nicely designed. Every weather geek should have this app!
Nah
One star for too many review prompts
Best weather app!
Best weather app hands down! Most intuitive graph. By far the best iPhone widget. Having the whole day on a single hourly view (vs every single other app only showing six or eight hours) is great. Tapping on the temperature to see the other temp scales is really neat. I recommend Weather Strip to everyone as often as I can.
Concept is good
After using for three years, I still encounter a few bugs which makes me question validity of forecast, and I need to cross verify with other apps. Decided to cancel subscription. Too bad; the concept is good.
Best wx app ever
This thing is spectacular and I literally cannot imagine a better overall weather app for interested people or wx geeks. The information density is so high yet it’s incredibly intuitive and usable. Truly best of breed.
Broken Widgets
The app is great, but the widgets are totally non functional.
Solves weather-at-a-glance, but not UI
You have to use the chart to believe how good it is! The combination of texture, weight, contrast, and selective details really lets me “see” the day ahead with barely any attention, yet surfaces specifics when I need them. The widgets are equally as good, which makes them far better than any other weather widgets I’ve seen. However, the typography is a little plain, and (in my opinion) the perpetually-half-light-half-dark theme holds the overall experience back.
Too expensive, but great potential
Very intuitive data visualisation, for me among the best weather app concepts out there. Everything on one screen without flooding me with figures, icons etc. I think the overall design has a nice feel to it, I really like it! But then there is the subscription. I‘m aware that Apple takes its share and that weather data costs, and I like to support indie developers – but both data providers (Apple, Foreca) offer their own weather apps for free, including radar and translations. So I find it hard to justify 18€ a year for this app, which I think is essentially a different (but imho much better!) skin for those two apps mentioned. However, I wouldn't mind 1€ per month if there was a German translation (maybe community-assisted via the poeditor website?).
If you prefer visual representation of information…
…my favorite weather app…
Платно
Одно из сотни приложений, показывающее погоду. Интерфейс убог, функционал тоже. Проще воспользоваться встроенной погодой в айфоне, которая в разы функциональнее чем эта поделка с подпиской!!!
Subscription is a Deal Breaker
Absolutely love this app, just wish there was a one-time purchase option. I avoid subscriptions as much as possible so that is a deal breaker for me. I have happily paid upwards of $50 for other weather apps to avoid subscriptions and would do so again for weather strip if they made that possible. Developers deserve to be paid for their work! Hopefully they will add this in the future.
Please add a visibility layer
This app is great, it would be perfect if it had a way to indicate visibility like apple weather. Please do this. :-)
Unique
Easily the most enjoyable and unique weather app out there, worth it to support this developer.
Great information clarity and density, but a bit dull
Weather Strip earns it place on my home screen with the amount of information it packs into each glance. It is a brilliant portrayal of the immediate situation and what’s to come. I think the design is brilliant, but I can’t say the same for the color scheme. The poor color choices are my reason for giving the app only four stars. Weather Strip makes every day seem a bit gloomy and flat. I wish the developer at least provided one or two alternative color choices, and that one of these was a bit brighter. I would like a brighter sun in a bluer sky for the sunny days, darker more brooding clouds for the cloudy days, shinier snow, wetter rain. It would be wonderful if Weather Strip not only gave me the information at a glance, but helped me feel the weather at a glance. Still, nothing else in the App Store comes close to matching Weather Strip yet. It will stay on my home screen even if it is a bit dull to look at.
Inaccurate
Forecasts just aren’t accurate for me. It always overestimates rain, or missed it entirely. No radar map. Was hoping this could possibly replace Dark Sky but not there, especially for the price
Very Cool!
5⭐️ Fully functional in iOS 16! 👏🏻
Best visualization of weather I've ever seen
Just wish it had notification support (rain, weather alert, etc). Other than that a nice to have would be App/Widget/Icon theming but that's very minor.
Great, but too expensive
I have tried almost any major weather app and with no doubt this one is the most beautiful and especially useful one for me. With one simple widget, I can see how the weather looks like regarding sunshine, clouds, and rain forecast, which is really amazing and precise because of Foreca data for Europe. The visualization is simply beautiful. However, the pricing is high, especially as even translation into languages of main markets like German, Spanish etc are missing. In Germany it costs 18 €, which is kind of 20 bucks in a real life comparison to US, while most other apps including native Foreca are within the 4 to 10 € price range.
I love this app
Chance of rainbows!
A uniquely useful look at the weather
There’s nothing quite like Weather Strip. Once you get used to the interface, which takes about one minute for the first 98%, then a day for the rest, you can learn everything you need to know about the weather for today and for the week in five seconds, with more detail than any block of numbers and letters. More important, you get the feeling of weather trends at the same time. It’s like having a watch that’s both digital and analog at the same time — only for weather. The interface could use a little cleaning up, and I would love the ability to go backward in time and see yesterday’s weather, or last week’s.

Best weather app
A weather app that respects you. Gives you lots of data in a thoughtful, beautifully designed way. Love this app. Thanks for making it.
Wind
For me as sailor wind is important, but that's now really good visible. And I guess it would help to get a better and faster overview if you would have each day in a separate diagram below each other.
Abo
Ich kann kein Englisch, Aber kann man das Abo nicht weg lassen? Das die Funktion kostenlos sind?
My favorite weather
The most reliable weather app for Apple products. I base my plans on the reports I get from Weather Strip. The extra features such as rainbow and aurora potential are a real treat. Becoming a subscriber isn’t an expense, it’s an investment
How about an Apple Watch app?
That would be awesome :)
Brilliant. Best weather app!
With Weather Strip, it’s so easy to understand what the weather forecast includes at a quick glance.
This is how weather forecasts are meant to be shown.
If you love data and design, this is the weather app for you. Once you learn how to read the strip, you can get everything you need to know about the weather for the next hour, day, and week in one second. Everything is thoughtfully laid out in terms of visual hierarchy. The widgets are thoughtfully designed. I live my life by this app. This is what technology is for. Thank you to the developer!!
