What people like
- Extremely powerful and intuitive customization tools
- Huge community with tons of free designs
- Developer actively listens to user feedback
- One-time payment instead of annoying subscriptions
What they complain about
- Free version limits you to one widget
- iOS updates break transparency and display features
- Steep learning curve for average users
- Updates often lag behind real-time data
Very nice but…
Excellent app with amazing customization! I have one feature request that would make Widgy even better. Please consider adding a smooth sweeping analog second hand, similar to Apple’s Clock widget. Other widget apps such as TapeKit, Widget Flow, and Quike already support a smooth, real-time second hand that stays synchronized with the system clock. In Low Power Mode, it automatically switches to ticking behavior, just like Apple’s own Clock widget. This suggests that it is technically possible, and it would be fantastic to have the same capability in Widgy. Widgy is by far the most powerful widget customization app, and adding smooth real-time analog clock movement would make it the perfect choice for watch and clock enthusiasts. Thank you for your amazing work and continuous updates!
app sucks
you have to pay after uploading ONE widget. don’t waste your time.
Dynamic island
For some reason when I put it on it doesn’t work when I get out of the app it only works on the lock screen. when I hold the dynamic island whatever it’s called, it shows blank back and both else but I can still get in the app by tapping on it, otherwise this is an amazing app
It’s good but…
It’s good but you can only do multiple widgets if you have a subscription and that’s stupid for a widget app and its almost as stupid as having to pay a subscription for a wallpaper
Almost loved
Nice app for customising widgets but unfortunately doesn’t background refresh nearly frequently enough. For instance I have a music widget and the current track I’m playing won’t apply will 5 mins later. During edit in the widget edit settings I was sure to apply “auto refresh” but it’s just simple delayed. Have to click into edit widget for it to update
Great
Amazing application, 5 star!
waste of time
u gotta pay like 8 bucks just to use it
Issues with apple watch ultra 3
Well this works great on my old apple watch se, but i have got a new watch and it has issues with processing health data. Please adjust so i can adjust my review plz
Great concept, bad execution
So unnecessarily complicated to try and navigate
Great app but..
This is an amazing app for customizing your phone even more than other widget apps allow you to, but it would be better if you could have more widgets in multiple slots ( 2 or 3) without having to pay to unlock the other slots or if not that please atleast make it so that you could watch ads to get multiple slots
Can only have one active widget?
I feel like having only one active widget available is insane. I know you guys need people to get pro for the money, but honestly only one widget is just absurd. Maybe 3 at minimum. And you could just put ads on the site or make people watch one to unlock a widget.
Explore section
Why is the explore section blank I have deleted the app and added it several times but the explore section in the app for me is always blank. How can the app be reset in order for me to see the widgets? Please advise. I have iPhone 15 pro max with the latest version update
Lacks Youtube Music Support
Has many cool widgets for music but it only works if you have Apple music which I feel should be stated beforehand. I paid to have several widgets but since I have Youtube music I can’t even use the widget I originally wanted. Atleast it’s a one-time payment.
I'm dissapointed
I put 5 stars to let people see this. It wasn't letting me add photos, i couldn't make the photos bigger, and it kicked me out almost every 3 minutes or so. I'm sure it's just because it's really advanced, but if you're not a very tech person like me, I don't reccomend it.
Terrible
So counter intuitive and anything worth using costs you 8 dollars. Not worth the time or effort trying to figure out how to use this app.
Novice
App has horrible UI. It maybe great for tech people but for the average person it difficult to follow.
Broken Endpoints hold your widgets hostage!
Lovely app, but there’s a critical oversight for power-users. When a widget uses JSON endpoints in their widgets, and the endpoint breaks, it becomes impossible to go back into the widget to edit it. Otherwise it would be 5/5 across the board.
very interesting
This app is as said, simply incredible. I never leave reviews for apps but for this I felt necessary. The ui and tools provided are extremely intuitive to use, it truly is like photoshop for widgets. If you don't want to make your own widgets, there is a very well developed community in the explore tab on the app as well as on the Reddit page where thousands of talented designers can submit their designs for you to use in your set up. Not to mention that the developer is extremely accessible with in the Reddit page, and he truly listens to his community and implements features that the community wants. After messing around with the free version when I first got Widgy, I decided it was fully worth the money to buy the full version just to support the developer alone. This app is incredible and if you are debating honestly just do it. The amount of joy I've gotten out of just a widget app alone, creating and submitting my widgets to the community is outstanding, easily one of my favorite apps I've ever gotten.
You made importing and using a widget so GD confusing
Import, slots, assigning. Even with iOS restrictions using a premade widget is waaaaaay more confusing than it has to be.
why my widget disappear and come back
i love this app because of the widgets u can put on ur homescreen, butttttt recently my widget keeps on disappearing and coming back and i cant do nun to fix it idk if its a bug or what but its getting annoying tbh
Greedy
Every part of the app that you want to explore you have to pay $7.99.
Help
I can find a way to tell the developer that my purchase is failing to be restored. Apple made me skip a back up due to software issue. So I couldn’t do a complete back up. I’m missing Unlock All Homescreen Slots.
Fantastic
It’s one of a kind. I highly recommend it.
How do u add images
Ik it says check help but im too lazy for that someone tell me how to add images cuz when i click the image thing it says “error image not found” when i didnt even get the option to add or edit the “image”
Horoscopes do not update. Again.
For some reason, if you go into the widgy app, the template with the horoscope is updated, but on the actual widget itself on the phone screen shows up as a horoscope that was weeks ago and never changes. Even if you delete the widget and re-add it, it still does not change. I even unassigned the template from “Medium 1” and then reassigned the template before adding the widget back to my home screen and still just reverts back to that one horoscope form weeks ago.

It sucks so bad
Never download the app because it doesn’t work because I your kids are Berlin going into 4th grade it will tell you 10th grade stuff to edit the widgets
Need Fix!
“WiFi Name (SSID) [System Network]” doesn’t refresh (fetch) )nor show result. Please fix!
It’s awesome
Except I hit a memory limit after checking out 2 widgets (deleting previous ones) and wasn’t able to use it again.
Superb
I have been an Android user for years and decided to give Apple a shot. This app enables to customize my IPhone and give it that personalized touch. Thank you for this amazing app!
Why will I pay for a widget app ?
advertise something like it’s free tch.
misleading/unusable, but also still good
basically, the app advertises “no subscriptions” and while that is true, i thought it would be free to use or at least usable for ppl who dont pay. you can only use ONE widget before you HAVE TO pay 7 dollars to use the rest of the widget slots. im not paying ts for a silly little picture on my phone. however, i do think the widgets are creative, easy to install, and offer something traditional widget apps can’t and for that I give it one more star. i wish the app was more usable for free users tho.
Entirely useless 5
I got this app so that I could put custom faces on my watch. What I didn't know was that this isn't actually a free app. If you don't pay $8 then it makes you go to the iOS app EVERY 15 MINUTES and re apply your selected face.
Hard
It’s hard to use.
GoOod Apps
WoOoW
Not user friendly
Way too complicated!
Developer MIA Since iOS 26
Widgy has become a headache since the release of iOS 26, which broke Tap to Reload and also doesn’t honor the Liquid Glass Off option. Tapping on a widget to reload it, e.g., a calendar widget, opens the Widgy app—which it is expressly not supposed to do. And it insists on ruining my black widget on black wallpaper by adding an ugly liquid glass border even with Turn Off Liquid Glass selected in setting up transparency. The developer has been dragging his feet getting these bugs fixed for so long, I felt this review was in order, especially since there is zero support for the app apart from an indirect and annoyingly inefficient user forum. Have begun looking for a replacement app. For my part, irresponsible development is a deal breaker.
ios26
I would like setup transparency to be reflected in ios26.
