While there are a few issues here and there the app works pretty well! I love the selection and I like the genres available to browse!!

Awesome Selection But You Can’t search it
I use the app often especially for its Europe comic selection which I would love more of. Hopefully the cinebook publisher can get added to this app as well, but my main gripe is the search option. Before I was able to select certain authors and artists by selecting on them but that option is gone now. If the search option gets fixed this app is a 10 out of 10. Thank you for your hard work and I know you will get it fixed. I would also like more art books selections and even newspaper strip artists like Hal foster, Alex Raymond, Milton Caniff, and Windsor mccay . Just a preference but there are a lot of books on this app that I can’t get anywhere else which is awesome
Nothing but a title
I like how it doesn’t give you ads. I like how you have much to choose from. But the app is laggy and crashes All the time anyway so you can’t find any of the books you want great idea but absolutely horrendous execution
Huge potential, Needs update
I love the wide variety of books, but it needs some changes: 1. FIX THE SEARCHING SYSTEM PLSS; shows irrelevant answers, hard to find things, and very punctuation and capitalization -sensitive 2. Some books are backwards so I have to scroll through the pages for a couple of mins(as a binge reader this is super annoying)just to start reading 3. In a recent update, the section with new releases was changed and I found out it now just shows promoted books, no matter how recent they came out, and there isn’t even a section with ALL of the new releases, only a couple are shown and I have to search to see if specific books came out, which takes a lot of time with the weird searching system 4. For some reason, if let’s say there are 13 books in a series and I click on the 5th one, then go down to the area where it shows the other in the series, idk why but it only shows the books before, not the whole series Please fix this😫😫😫😫😫😫😫

Just saying, HATE the new lime green color scheme of the app, there should be a way to change that.❎ ANYWAYS, after the update it logged me out and I had NO IDEA what library I was using, so I put in the wrong library like, 3 TIMES (it was upsetting at first) But I like how you can have like, A BAJILLION books in your shelf. (I have over 150 myself) But yeah, had some trouble with the update, but I’m good now so… Yeah! Good app!

I got the and everything, but it doesn’t work I can’t even read a single book. I hate it.
Much needed update but issue with downloaded manga
For material I’ve downloaded that reads right to left, the reader currently starts at the last page. Then, because it’s unclear how to jump to a specific page on iPad (tapping the main page area works on my android phone but the action doesn’t seem to work here), it becomes challenging to get to the "last" page to start. I’ve noticed this doesn’t seem to happen on manga I choose not to download, where it will force a scroll to the "last" item so I can proceed reading right to left. I would also be curious to see if the page turn slide animation could be turned off as a setting.
PLEASE fix the page bounce!
This app is so close to being good, but in the years I’ve tried to use it, the thing that has always killed me is how much the image bounces when you turn the page! I swear it gives me motion sickness. And they’ve changed it multiple times through the years, but never outright gotten rid of it. Just give readers the option to turn off the page bounce, PLEASE!!! There is no reason to have a transition between pages, this isn’t a Slideshow presentation. Just go to Reddit and find a post with multiple images to swipe through - THAT’S ALL WE NEED! Nothing fancy, it’s just distracting
New UI, Lost Feature
It’s fine to redesign an app and make it more efficient and user friendly. BUT, you left out any user preference settings: especially Dark Mode -even with my brightness turned all the way down, the white background is BLINDING to someone like me. Haven’t tried reading since because of that. I generally use this multiple times a week. Please fix, thank you.

Lots of content but lacking
Kind of want to give this a 2 or even 1 star. Like huge app update and had around 154 book added to shelf all gone with the update. Some all probably never see since they are finished and I came across it when typing names in of other comics. Next time save everyone’s saved books to read.

Amazing selection but the app is awful. Search is super inaccurate and actually reading a book is doable but just barely.

Lots of choices with a terrible app
This is so disappointing. There are so many great choices: comics and graphic novels from both major and indie publishers. I love the selection from other countries. But actually reading a book in the app is awful. Extremely laggy, I couldn't easy zoom in and out, it didn't have an auto zoom feature, it was extremely hard to even turn the pages. It was so bad I immediately stopped reading. A lot of promise, but still severely lacking.

Whatever bugs were there previously, they’ve fixed now and runs really well!
Awful Search Function
My main gripe with this app is the atrocious search function. There are things that I know for a fact are available, and cannot find them when I search by title name or author name. I have things in my favorites ready to read but if I search for it, it doesn't show up unless I scroll around randomly. If I search by genre I will eventually find one of the volumes and find other volumes under related volumes, such a frustrating way to find things. You should be able to click on the series name, or author name and see the other things available. As it is, it is very frustrating to find anything.
Website Extension
This app is just an extension of the comics-plus website. Like the website, its catalog is nice and big, but the UI is a bit confusing, the “shelf” (where books you want to read/are reading go) is very messy. The in-progress/not read tab is great, but adding folders to the shelf would be a massive improvement. Recently I had to delete the app bc it wouldn’t load, and downloads are slow. I definitely recommend it as a free way to read some popular comics and manga online. However for online reading in general Libby is an immensely better experience.

So bad, constantly crashing
I have to logout and re-enter my library information EVERY time I open a new comic, it’s so frustrating!
Good App
Use it to read a couple series of comics. It’s got some issues with remembering where I stopped in the middle of comic if I try to go back into it straight away, but beyond very good.
Wish this was better than it is
Its incredibly cool that it has such a massive library for free with a library card but the app has bar none the most utterly useless search feature I’ve ever used. The only time I’ve ever gotten it to work as intended is putting a piece of a title (because full titles don’t work properly for some reason) and then set it to the correct publisher, and then even that only worked for The Last Ronin. I really really want to like this app but that’s an extremely essential feature to be able to find what you want and it just does not work.
SO LAGGY
This app is pretty good. It has all of the latest books, and old ones, too. However, it is SO laggy. Sometimes there will be doubles of the same page in a book in a row, while other times it just will not load. There are also times where you try to read a book, but it just brings you right back to your shelf. It is just really glitchy, and so slow to load. Please improve!!!!!
Buggy UI and Not Great Content
I would be able to get past the UI if I was at least satisfied by the selection. Seems mostly geared towards kids.
It’s very buggy on my iPad Pro!
I love this app because of the wide variety of comics, but I got halfway through a manga, and I’m getting frustrated. The thumbnail isn’t showing up so I can’t get back to where the chapter left off. Please fix this!

It’s a little bad the download of books is long and I wish it could auto download while I’m on another app and I wish I auto puts it in the finished section too.
Amazing collection, app barely functions
So grateful that my library offers this resource as part of my having a library card. That’s awesome! The app itself, however, seems that it can barely keep up with the basics of page navigation when I want to switch pages, much less switch between titles. Looking forward in hope to additional updates to its functionality someday!
Crappy app good books ?
So I bought this app to read and I turned on Spotify and was all ready and the books took hours to load the content that I ve read is good But I feel like. A better reading platform could be made by a pre-ker with a computer and a few tips do NOT download it is a waste of time and you will hate it it also keeps recommending HolIDay. FuN LIKE WTH I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS APP
Large collection, sometimes buggy interface
I am so happy that this app has such a large variety of comics I can read, but my main problem is with zooming in. Sometimes when I try to zoom in or out, it just doesn't work. Even when I do zoom in it feels really slow and buggy. Sometimes it doesn't even zoom in to the place I want to zoom in to. I hope that this is fixed in a later update! Otherwise, amazing app!!
Great content terrible user experience
The library is vast but it is extremely difficult to find anything or navigate. Downloads don’t really work. Sorting of content and finding new releases needs to be easier. Visually unappealing and loads slow

still lots of bugs; i think by downloading what i want to read i encounter less issues, but sometimes the pages black out and i have to close and reopen what i was reading (not the whole app) to get it to reload

Good content, needs customization of reader
Connected the app to my library card easily and found a couple series I want to read. It would be nice if I could turn off the jiggle bounce-in animation when turning the page, and bookmarks for chapters (maybe what I’m reading doesn’t have them?) But other than that it’s great.

Screen goes black after searching and not able to see results.
Solid Selection, Painfully Buggy
The app has a decent selection of popular titles in their entirety, but a number of bugs and odd design choices make it pain to use. Like others have said, swiping on the left side of the screen and accidentally closing your book is really annoying. I just ran into a bug today with Beserk Volume 5, where in 2 page mode, the pages are swapped. Streaming is also quite laggy. Comparable reading apps offer a much smoother experience. Hoping that with time the kinks can be worked out, but in the meantime it’s just a passable experience.

Needs a lot of development TLC
I love comics and want only the best for this app, but it needs a LOT of work. 1. Search results are chaotic, e.g., the first result in a search for Tom King is a The King comic, which is in no way associated with Tom King - and Helen of Wyndhorn, which he wrote, does not appear in the four pages of search results. 2. Search results pagination needs the ability to enter a specific page number in those results to save time. 3. Cropping off the bottom of pages. All. The. Time. Aaaarrrggghhh. 4. GUI proportion issues as you change tablet orientation. 5. When selecting an issue, the dialogue box is too large, off to the right side, and is partially cropped off. At least on my iPad. 6. When resuming an issue, the app sometimes forgets where you were and goes to an earlier page. Repeatedly. 7. No ability to jump ahead in lists, e.g., to jump from A titles to J titles.
Vertical doesn’t work, image disappears
Love that public libraries are getting more involvement. But app response is delayed and laggy, even for downloaded books. The larger vertical view does not work at all.
New Update Broke It?
This app is completely broken for me now after the latest update. Regardless of being on wifi or cell service, it just gives an error saying no network is found. I am unable to do anything at all, even look at settings.
Stellar collection, terrible app
The vast variety of graphic novels and comics on this app is incredibly impressive. Unfortunately, it’s next to impossible to use. It’s so slow to load, if anything loads at all. Nothing on the home page ever loads fully and I’ve never gotten the search bar or popular page to load. The UI for actually reading is also clunky and confusing. Just some minor performance improvements would really help the app.
Many problems, but has potential.
1. If you are going to offer something and place it on the popular page… make sure it works and is there? 2. Don’t make the page bounce when I swipe. It is incredibly unnecessary. 3. Tri panel swiping should be up and down, not left and right. 4. Make the middle tap menu pull up faster. It takes a full three seconds before responding. 5. Remove swiping out of the book entirely. Just force me to use the X button. If I want to go back to a page, half the time I’m swiping out of the whole book. 6. Allow the reader to place books into each completion status. When I finish a book, let me put it in “finished” because it doesn’t do it by itself (or at least hasn’t yet). 7. Loading times are loooong. Especially when I’m just browsing for something new in Featured or Popular. Generally, I enjoy the app. It is great to have access to so many things I can’t check out at my own library. But if I spend more time fighting with the UI than I do reading, there’s a problem.
