What people like
- Simple and easy to use
- Great for learning the grid method
- Lots of useful customization options
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Photos fail to load reliably
- Hard to set exact grid sizes
- No drawing tools included
Does what I need
I use it regularly. Simple and to the point. Works.
Blank screen
Worked. Then went blank. Deleted re uploaded. And still blank
Love it, but…
First time using this app and I’m already loving it. However, I do hope there’s an option to make the squares equal, like, example: make it a 10x10 square grid. Or something like that
Account Issues
Pretty good except I paid for Pro and now apparently it is a monthly subscription and I have to deal with ads etc. all over again unless I now pay each month. Seems like a bait and switch. Not worth a monthly fee.
Thick grid lines
I hope we can adjust the thickness of the grid because it gets in the way
Review
Best app ever for grid method, 10/10
Can’t change the rows
It’s faded out and cannot change
Change icon
Old icon with realistic hand was better
Mostly decent but bottom crop handle on an iPhone SE
My subject line tells it all. Not every artist has a new iPhone. It’s disappointing that you can’t engage the bottom crop handle on an iPhone SE.
Super
My first time of using this app and it’s very helpful I recommend everyone who wants to learn how to draw to download it.
Just what you need
Excellent App. Works perfectly.
Terribly clunky
It is not easy to use. Difficult to adjust the grid settings. Eg I want 1” squares; it gives 1.4”.
.
Es buena ,lo malo es que no está en español o no se ponerlo
It won’t upload photos
I really thought this was going to be awesome. That said it only uploads ‘some’ photos when it wants to. I’ve allowed access to all photos on my library, I re-downloaded the app, still will not allow some photos to upload. I read through the reviews and noted a few others had same issue. The developers response was clear as mud.
Grid is easy but...
Just got this and it was easy to add a grid. BUT the ads are a real pain, really!!! And there was no way to stop them. I'd rather pay a few dollars and not have the ads.
Best Grid App to Date
I have used many grid apps over the years and DrawingGrid is by far the best. Highly recommend.
Not clear = not useful
Not clear : no definition of terms; no explanation of use.
so-so
Can’t find rulers so the app doesn’t save much time at all from traditional methods.
Nice
It’s cool and simple to use but can’t be zoomed
Best App For Beginners
I’m taking a drawing class, we learned gridding, how it’s good practice but it also produces the best results earlier on. This is the best app for gridding your photos from your phone.
Good except when it wont load an image
It is an excellent app but seems to be very buggy. I have been frustrated recently that it momentarily loads an image from the gallery but refuses to load and apply grid. The image just disappears 2 seconds after loading.
Nice,but only at first
The thing is I can only use this app once there is no option to change the photo i tried closing the app and opening it again but the photo stays……. I hope they add a ‘new’ button where people can see!
New user
Just got this app. Some instructions would be very helpful. I’m NOT tech savvy.
Good
Is easy for me to use
Awful app.
Very limited functionality. Cannot specify number of lines or columns. I deleted it once I tried it out. Good thing it’s free. Not worth paying for.
Sleeping Koala
Very useful tool. Thanks
5⭐️
This app is great. It comes with a bunch of customizations for the grids. 💯 I love this!
Worst app ever
There is not even a control where you can select the size of your paper and that is mainly why I downloaded this app. Don’t download this app it’s a waste of time. I would have given a 0 star rating but that isn’t a option. This app is terrible!!!
How to use
How am I meant to know how big to draw the boxes ? Please someone help
Grid
As a professional pencil artist this is the best grid for numbers use your phone edit to write in the numbers yourself
Don’t install
wastage of time and data
issue in this app
the columns doesnt change please fix it. thank you.
I’m a nonchalant dread head.
This app is alr ig. Baka.
No photos
Downloaded this tonight. It will not load any of my photos. I checked my settings, and it says that the app is allowed access to all of my photos. I tried restarting my iPad, but that didn’t help.
Excellent app, but one suggestion
What else can I say? The app is simple to use and straight forward. The only suggestion I can think of is having some measurement that can be translated onto the paper when the grid abruptly cuts off. That's all
You Can’t Do ANYTHING Other Than Load an Image
There areNO drawing tools whatsoever. All you can do is load an image with the grid. It doesn’t even respond to the Apple Pencil.
