Traded one cluttered inbox for another
No ability to hide or remove newsletters once they’re added seems like a critical feature for something that claims to help organize your inbox. I’m stuck with 12 different bitcoin newsletters and more that I didn’t even sign up for. Jumping to Matter app after trying this for a couple weeks. Good idea, needs some work.
Teething problems
I really like this app but it really struggles with consistency. Sometimes the emails are there and sometimes they aren’t.
Best way to read your newsletters
This is my home for all my incoming newsletters. It’s a very nice interface for reading and it declutters my inbox
Lousy Support
Accidentally bought this thing during the test notified them ask for my money back they blithely told me to get my refund from Apple. Apple of course, says to get it back from Meco. Then Meco deleted my account even though they’ve been paid for a full year. So now I have no access to use the app and they refuse to refund my money. Steer clear of these guys. I am going to report this app and their lousy, smerking “not our problem” support team to everybody…
Awesome reader
Best reader app for email newsletters I’ve tried. Only 4 stars cause there is no true dark mode. The existing dark mode reformats the newsletter in often incorrect ways.
Absolute trash on MacOS
Doesn’t work…error messages all the time.
Gmail connection
With the last update I have to reconnect gmail each time I open the app. I followed the instructions in the FAQ and contacted support. Sent 2 emails and never heard back. I like the app but support needs to be responsive to paid users.

Solved: Newsletter OVERLOAD
I receive almost 30 newsletters in my Inbox and I can't keep up. Thankfully Meco now creates me a Daily Brief - a podcast based on 20 newsletters I gave it. App is still a bit buggy but it sounds like they are working out the kinks as the app is still fairly new this is understandable. Thank you Meco and Sean
Does not work
Will no longer open even after latest update. Technical difficulties error pop-up - when will this be resolved?
Promising Product - Poor Documentation and Crashes
I really liked the idea of this product, but in actuality it’s a frustrating setup. The site promises “connect all your gmail accounts” but there’s an undocumented limit of 3, which I ran into while receiving cryptic error messages (uh oh, something went wrong - try again or contact support). After contacting support, and spending two days back-and-forth, I finally get an email this morning from the developer Sean suggesting that I switch my newsletters on the extra accounts to one of their inbound email addresses. It’s incredibly promising, with a slick interface. But the issues during set up (constantly having to reconnect, multiple device failure, not realizing the max of three accounts, despite searching through FAQs, support docs, and web resources) left me unimpressed and looking for an alternate.
Push notification issue
Very nice work! Meco app is my favorite for reading newsletters. However, there is an annoying issue with it. All Meco push notifications disappear when just tap one. 1. Iphone 14 plus 2. iOS 18.1.1 3. Meco v5.6.0
Not meeting expectations
This is had to configure, it forced to add newsletter a that I did not want and it displays on top the ones that in Gmail I never open. I am about to give up on this app.

Crashes a lot currently
Great idea. I would like this to work and be usable. But currently it crashes a lot on me. New iPad Mini A17 with latest iOS
Needs reply tab
While I do like this app and how much it has cleared my Gmail account, I wish you had a ‘reply’ button. A lot of newsletters now ask for feedback and when I tried to find a away to respond I was not able. Need to be able to reply back to the people who send the newsletters when they ask for us input. If this was an option you would be 5 stars.

I dreamed of an app like this during the newsletter explosion over the last few years, so I’m really happy to be onboard and clear out my inbox while still reading all the newsletters I care about.

Good
Performance of the app matters a lot for reading and it’s slow for my taste. Otherwise good concept. I have high hopes. Update: I am improving my rating because the team and customer support is very good. They keep following up and try to help. Give the app a try.
Slow and Buggy
I subscribed so my daily news sources would all be in one place, but they always take several minutes to load and the app crashes often.
Mediocre at best
Must constantly re-add newsletters I find I read less newsletters when I must open two apps Not worth it even when free
Hands down the best
I’ve used all of them and this is the best value and most intuitive ui. Others are good but there would always be one or two things that bugged me and didn’t work with my flow. You can tell It’s developed by a really talented team and passionate for newsletters.
Won’t run on iPhone
I’ve been using Meco four a while now and I liked it so I paid for a subscription. In the last few days, Meco won’t open on my phone (iPhone 15 running 18.2.1), as it crashes every time I open it. I wrote to tech support but didn’t get a reply, which is disappointing because In the past, tech support would answer messages pretty quickly. Anyway, if I can’t use it on my iPhone, I’ll give it up, though it still runs on my iPad.
Would love Text-To-Speech
To make this ideal, and therefore worth paying for, I would love an option to have the newsletters narrated and able to be arranged in an automatic queue.
Too buggy
Great in concept but doesn’t really make it easier to get through my newsletters mainly because it crashes/closes regularly. The app remains visible in the app switcher it just exits out to the Home Screen. Way too frequently.
Just needs one thing…
I enjoyed the convenience and simplicity of this app but feel that it really needs a text-to-voice reader to make itself maximally useful.

Finally gives me a way to keep my inbox clean from all the newsletters I get, and provides a great experience both on the web and via the app. Definitely worth it in my opinion.
Gmail account = must purchase Pro
Great app, but you must purchase Pro to use a Gmail account after the trial period, and this is not clearly stated in their information. To use Meco for free, you must use a complimentary Meco email and resubscribe to your newsletters using that. Don’t forget to remove Meco’s access from your security settings if you have a Gmail account and don’t continue after the trial!

Good app, if you’re ok without a dark mode
Great app, but despite all its great features, the experience of reading dark text on a small, bright white phone screen isn’t very pleasant. They have “dark mode,” but it doesn’t affect the reading view. Older reviews mention this, so I guess it just isn’t a priority? Oddly enough, Gmail has this simple feature, so I will probably stick with that for the time being. If the core newsletter reading experience of a newsletter reader app isn’t pleasant, then I’m not gonna use it for long.
Great but slow
Great concept and UX is fine. Super slow and clunky to load though - and adding new senders is very slow work.
My #1 app
Can’t say enough about Meco. It’s so simple yet so great at what it does. Makes reading newsletters enjoyable. No need to pay, but the app is so great that I do just to support the creators.
Only Gmail?
Sorry, I avoid all things Google. Delete app.
Works really well on iPhones
My gmail inbox is largely newsletters of assorted types and Meco on the iPhone really helps to organize them. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars as there are a couple of issues, that I have discussed with the developers. It’s odd that it doesn’t work as well on the iPad as that is a better reading environment. A couple of times I had a situation of the iPhone app constantly crashing. Deleting and reinstalling was a work around. I do have a few suggestions for enhancements but would like to get the small defects fixed first.

Very odd to design an iOS app that works only with the platform known to be terrible for privacy.
The best newsletter app ever made
Download this app and never look back, it quite literally changed my life. I get notified as my newsletters come in and I’m able to stay on the cutting edge of my interests. Where as before I’d have my email cluttered and didn’t know what was coming in. They have dark mode love that and I love that I can swipe left and right to go forward or backward a story. Its so worth it.
Big Privacy Issue—Find a better solution
Didn’t sign up for the app as I’ll be giving permission to open, read, and send emails on my behalf. I don’t know who needs to do this, whether it’s Google or the developers but you need to improve the code that you don’t need to resort to going into people’s emails for the app to function. I’ll keep reading from my inbox. I don’t mind. Thanks.
Great product. 1 thing needed.
This is the type of app I have been looking for. It only needs one more feature for me to upgrade the rating to 5 starts. The reader built into the app needs dark mode. Everything else has been great. Works fast, loads all my newsletters, easy to add new newsletters, easy to sort and filter newsletters. All around great app. Just need the dark mode in the built in reader.
Excited.. until...
Clean app. Good UI. But it only worked for a few hours. Now I can't get it to work for more than 5 seconds before crashing. (Not exaggerating) I tried restarting, reinstalling, etc. Nothing works. I really wish their customer service would reply to emails. This app appears to do exactly what I was hoping it would. I just wish I could use it. I want to give this app 5 stars so bad!
Dark theme not dark
Dark theme is not dark. Newsletter still appear light, only darkens contents menu. I realize this may more an issue on SubStack but not a great reader if content isn’t dark imo
SAVES YOUR INBOX. Game Changer!
Just do it. I kept wondering how I could clean up my email inbox, and wow does this give me so much less stress. I can click the app at anytime and my newsletters are there waiting for me. All in one place, to read when I have time! Do it!
App doesn’t even work
I logged in with my gmail and the app took forever to load and then restarted the tutorial. This happened multiple times
Slow starting speed
This app has become the place I read newsletter. But the starting speed every time is slow (much slower than opening gmail...Hope this can be improved.
Loved the app but it’s not even opening now
Such a great product and solved a key pain point with info overload on my email. I am so disappointed that it’s not even opening now
