I left a comment when I was having issues I think it’s only right that I leave one when you guys do a great job. Less than 2 weeks after having issues it was fixed and I’m able to continue my work flow. All of the apps you guys make are really good but this is by far my fav. I use it on 98% of my beats and it just makes it easier to get the exact sound I’m looking for. Great job and keep up the good work
Purchased as one time purchase, now it’s a subscription. Don’t support this developer
I purchased this app years ago as a one time purchase from AudioKit. It’s now owned by a new dev & completely useless because they decided to lock the app’s features unless you pay a subscription. This has ruined years of music projects. This is unfair, immoral, and should be considered criminal. I will not support AudioKit nor Audiobus ever again. Do not support this dev, resist against subscriptions! EDIT in response to dev: unless your “help” is giving back access to the sounds you swindled, no thanks. Goodbye and good riddance.
Ty for giving me back my sounds
It seems in new update you fixed giving me back my sounds since i previously bought app and everything so sar far i can open sounds again in daw
One time Purchase, and now can’t use in GarageBand forcing subscription.
The app no longer works in or beatmaker3 and has a lot of issues when used as a standalone. For example you have to turn the volume knob up every time you switch presets. I have contacted the developers and they have not replied. Fix this issue and I will be willing to give the app the 5 stars it deserves.
Glitchy
Has this weird bug with AUM (and GarageBand) where if you have both this and Retro Piano, only one of them will show up when accessing them via AudioUnits or Interapp Audio.. what’s even stranger is that its arbitrary which app decides to appear. One day its bass808, the next day its retro piano. That aside, both apps have amazing sounds. Just wish I could use them at the same time.
Awesome
Great sounds. Very responsive. Awesome deal
Do not support this dev
When I bought this app it was owned by a different developer. Since it sold out it has gone downhill. Now with an update the app I already paid for has removed features and essentially is useless without paying a subscription. This is shady and seems like it should be illegal! I hope they get kicked off the App Store
I really enjoyed these limited edition apps but…
There’s supposed to be a series of 10. I get that COVID slowed everything down and the goal was 10 in a year. But I thought the plan was to still release all 10? Please release more!
Pulled the rug
I downloaded this app when it first came out. Have been using it and loving lots by the dev since…. Then all of a sudden it’s a weekly subscription?.. what a shame. If I had to buy it (thought I already did) I’d rather pay a one time price. This app is fantastic btw.
Problems
Since the new update my DAW won’t open 808 in any projects that used the previous version meaning I’ve essentially lost all my carefully crafted presets - which would be fine if I was able to save them, but the save function only works when the presets load correctly, and now 99% of them reset to default values! Extremely frustrating!
Secret Weapon for producers!
Can’t live without this one! Thanks to the developers, making life funner for everyone!
Trash now
Hope your subscription model fails you.
Thanks
Easy layout. Great fun tweaking to suit the project
Pulling the rug
The app was great, so I purchased the one-time purchase, in oder to unlock the full functionality of the app. That was the agreement when I bought this software instrument. I even recall the description boasting this agreement "purchase once and own forever!" or something along those lines. I don't take issue with the subscription agreement model for using software. However. I do see it as an issue when a software application is marketed as a one-time purchase, and I choose to purchase it, only then to have the developer switch the very same app that was sold as a one time purchase over to a subscription model, and revoke the functionality that was marketed as a one time purchase unless I now also purchase the subscription. The developer could have made a duplicate application to this one, and marketed and distributed it under a subscription-model agreement, and left this app for legacy users of the old purchase agreement. It does not seem right to double-dip after selling a the functionality of a piece of software as a one-time purchase. The description for the application under the one-time purchase agreement did not say "on sale, only $x.xx this weekend only, to own forever!" "...or until the developer decides that you no longer own the functionality that you purchased under the one-time purchase model. Then you either have to subscribe to continue using the app's functionality, or you're just out of luck!" The reason I am writing this review isn't solely because the developer switched the distribution model on an existing application being marketed a certain way. They are responding to the reviewers that are pointing this out with a message to contact them for assistance, portraying the image on these reviews that they are interested in "assisting" with the issue that they created by switching the payment model of the app and revoking the functionality that many people already purchased. However, upon contacting the developer for assistance with this issue, (that they are replying to under reviews noting it, asking for reviewers to reach out) they simply respond that they indeed have locked you out of the application's full functionality unless you now sign up for the subscription. So they aren't doing anything for legacy users that purchased the app under the one time purchase agreement, like the review-responses suggest. Simply confirming the switch and double-dip, and confirming that previous purchasers are indeed out of luck unless they begin paying for the subscription. I don't support this, and have not stated anything other than what happened in my experience with an application that I have now deleted, and will not consider other offerings from this developer as a result of this experience.
So great until it stopped working :(
Have had this app since release, several of its sounds are my go to staples…..until the app now refuses to output sound. Devastated. Updates and support don’t seem to exist. Gutted.

Mo’ patches please!
👎used to be great
Until it went subscription. Thanks Stu Pedassez at Audiokit
Cool but crackles
Maybe I just don’t know how to adjust some settings but many presets have crackle on my iPad. Others are workable. I wish there were more reggae dub style ones.
What can I say
Awesome bass leads
infinitely loads
never loads anything
Boom shake the room
On a good day, with serendipity, this app can produce some interesting sounds, and certainly has its place in the collection of any IOS music maker. But the ‘limited edition’ nonsense has to stop. Nobody is going to shell out a huge amount because they missed the initial release period. All that achieves is losing new customers. Nic
Bass sourds
The BEST in its Class!
5 stars!
used to be "no data collected"
apps change ownership policies updated, you should checking out that terms of service
It was nice while it lasted...
It keeps telling me it doesn’t exist when I’m in GarageBand. I was going through the sounds trying to re-customize them because I hoped deleting and reinstalling would help but nah. It just tells me it’s not found anyway when I was just using it. I don’t know why it’s suddenly messing up when I’m finally trying to use it, but please fix it 😑 Also allowing chords and the ability to favorite sounds would be nice. But I just want it to work at the moment.
Auch...
Great sounding bass synth with a ton of presets but unfortunately only sometimes working inside of NS2. Please fix this and also the D1 that also has AUv3 problems (silent notes). Thanks in advance.
Solid synths, great cause
This crew consistently puts out solid,sample-based emulations! The gui is always simple and clean, and there’s usually something extra aside from the original parameters, like bit crushing on the 909 drums. I must admit though that their “Synth One” app is by far my favorite, and it’s free.
what the actual heck just happened
Ok. The app is fine. 100+ sounds, used to be made by AudioKit, a few leads mixed in, the whole deal. Look, I get the point of the subscription. The app is free, but in order to have it in full, you need to buy it. Fair rule. The problem is when you make most of the sounds free, and then make all but the default being paid for. Maybe the most of the sounds free thing was a bug. Look, I’m fine with a subscription, but at least make a few more sounds free. Dynamic articulation isn’t the best either. At least we have modulation. Even then, I like what you did with the other older apps and subscriptions. Put some sounds in the default bank, make you pay for the other banks. You should’ve incorporated this in Bass 808. Cause now, it isn’t that amazing. Default GarageBand sounds might even be better, and they have trash dynamic articulation. Look, I’m just saying, MAKE SOME MORE SOUNDS FREE. I can’t rate it anything above what I’m rating it ONLY because of this. With that being said, this is a 2-star app. Edit:And now it’s not showing on my Audio Unit Extensions. Maybe the guy who said the Retro Piano/Bass 808 thing was true. It’s even worse than ever. With that being said, this is a 1-star app.
iPhone 808 app
This a very nice little app. So glad to have it.
Iphone SE?
Free upgrade does not work on iPhone SE (similar to 6S) and doesn’t appear in purchases. (iOS 13.4.1) Thanks!
Finally!
You know that new sound i been looking for? Well listen to this!
Why are all your apps broken?
I have a few of your apps that are auv3 they all are unusable because they are locked when I paid for them. What in the world is going on?
Nice
Hot tip for you kids out there: if AUs fail to load or work when loading old sessions or projects in daws be sure to run the standalone app first, quit it, then try your project.
3 STARS
Noticeable clicking sound through iPad device when playing keys, lack of additional effects annoying and would be welcomed, cannot find the required ability to switch to second screen with other features as shown in app listings.
808
Also gabber kicks
doesn’t work in AUM
all presets are locked
Excellent Bass synth!
Nice layout. Great sounds. Had problems with clicking when playing, solved by increasing buffer size from 128 to 256. 😁
Best bass app for the price - a must have.
This app is perfect for adding deep bass tracks to your music. I hooked up my iPad to my car stereo with 2-12” subs and I about blew the windows out. Great app I highly recommend it.
Why are the presets all locked in AUM? Purchased before trackers and subscription
We were already having to deal with the absurd clipping because of a gui issue, and now it’s completely broke. You can add subscriptions and trackers, but can’t fix the clipping?
Crashes immediately on iPhone and iPad
App doesn’t run on either iPhone or iPad... All fixed with latest update!!
