Amazing but some adjustments
I love this app and I find it amazing. I am using it to help with my GCSEs and it helps a lot. Well done. I use the free Version and am Limited a but but it is still great. I also like your other Apps. I think that scheduled times would be good to add as it makes people focus at a scheduled task. I love this app and I’m going to keep using it. I’m also recommending it to other people. My only thing to say is that the free version is a bit limited for those who can’t afford the pro, I might get it in the future
Practically useless if disabled in setting for screen time
No use if screen time is disabled in setting,
Perfect
You should make it locked like you can’t stop after choosed time add that but other than that is perfect 👌
Suspect no longer updated
The last update was 2 years ago and while I have loved this app for a long time, I’ve had to uninstall it as I can no long add new locks or update existing ones without the app crashing It’s such as shame as this app has been such a game changer for me!
It’s good when it works
The first day I used it worked really well now I am trying it again it keeps freezing and the go button isn’t working - uninstalling
LOVE this!!
As an easily distracted person with a lot of work to finish, this app seriously makes me a lot more productive when I have big assignments or textbooks I don't want to read. It has been a huge help and I like to use it with their timer app so l can see an actual numerical value of how much time I am putting in, it's the perfect pair!
👎
App stopped locking my apps after I paid for the subscription
Good app but could be improved
This app is really handy for locking you out of your phone. Its not difficult to jail break though so you do need an added layer of discipline. Improvements: Whitelist of apps that is saved and isn’t tied to a timer. Ability to edit your whitelist and timers without giving access to sceeentime as if you have an active lock but you need to make an edit to the apps it can’t be done until the lock is off. Ability to not jail break it.
Not working anymore
Just cancelled my subscription as it doesn’t work anymore. Once it’s activated, I can still access all my apps.
Great but pricy
I thought this was great and helpful, but $10 a month seems a lot for something simple. Just my opinion. If your willing to pay $10 a month, or $100 for life time access fine. But I won’t.
Great but
It’s a great app it helped me in my study but the problem is it used to block browser like safari in ios I can’t open any website But now I don’t know for some reason I can open browser And the whole point of blocking apps is useless bcz I can open any social media account through browser Netflix Amazon anything It’s a gateway Plz try to fix it if it is a bug Or give a option to block it
Not useful
You can defeat the purpose of app by not letting this app use screen time . This feature come in setting for iPhone. Pls add feature to lock setting
New update 👍🏽
The new update has taken this to a whole new level. No need to download profile management etc. Really good and much easier to use.
Good when it works
When you pay 50$ yearly for a service you expect it to work. It does 1/5 times, i often have to redownload and resetup the app and even then it works 1 out of 2 times. The purpose is to help being productive so when i spend 20 minutes trying to make it work it just does not make sense.
Free Version needed!
The app does the job pretty well but a free version is much needed!
Life saver
Thanks to this amazing app, I was able to recover so much hours lost scrolling in social apps.
For IOS
It is okay but Not satisfied
Very helpful with a couple of flaws
This app helps me focus during work and study sessions. I also like the flexibility of being able to adjust the lock time by a minute. It’s a great app for someone who just doesn’t have the willpower to stop using their phone! One downside is that the lock won’t be automatically removed after the time set, I think, when the network setting changes during lock session (i.e. when I start my session at home using home wifi and then go out, making the phone automatically switch to mobile data or other wifi). When this happens, I manually have to delete the profile in settings to remove the lock and download/install the profile again if I want to use the lock feature again.. I really hope the devs would look into this soon.
Used to be brilliant (as flipd)
Just bought a subscription but a bit disappointed. Anytime you lock apps - it logs you out of other apps. I have to re log in to most apps after lock - not conducive to efficient activity
would be a god send... if only
it didn’t mess with the way I organised my phone. I have my apps set out in a very particular way, and when they were removed from my phone (for 30 mins) I didn’t use it at all. when they showed up again my apps weren’t in the correct order and I was unable to use the spotify widget (or any widget that doesn’t come with the phone) So weird. would be if it didn’t mess that up. I would give it 5 stars.
Stops working
Sometimes it stops working I don’t know why im so sad
Amazing until latest update
Worked perfectly well for me until the latest iOS16 update. Have cancelled my subscription after 3.5 years of using this app, such a shame because it was a great adjunct to my studies which I use daily during exam season.
Suggestion
Pretty good, although I would strongly encourage them to come up with a system in which I can schedule in times because it’s hard for me to start working and start the timer but if it turns on automatically when I schedule it, it would be helpful. Other than that great great app.
Terrible customer service & complicated installation process
Didn’t work for me
Pretty good
This is a pretty helpful app!! Only problem is that you can't whitelist. I would love to still be able to access apps I use for work/studying
Really good with whitelisting feature
I experimented with about a dozen apps of this category and finally zeroed down on this one. The factors that helped me decide on this were a very clean UI & functionality and comparatively decent pricing. But most importantly, this was the only app that had the whitelisting feature. Amongst the ones I tested, all other apps asked me to select apps which I want to block. But what this app did was that it asked me to whitelist the apps I wanted to still have access to and blocked all the rest by itself. This totally worked for me and it does this job really well by giving me customization options for different kinds of sessions wherein I want to block/whitelist different apps depending on the kind of work I am doing. A great find. Thank you developers.
Loved the app until it stopped working.
Thought the app was great when I used the trial so subscribed. After about 2 days stopped working went through all the troubleshooting suggestions then had to email them of which I have still not heard back from them. Have had to request a refund from Apple as so disappointed at lack of customer support
Wish I could set it to go off at a certain time
I get a lot out of this ap. It’s really helpful. It would be a 100/5 if I could set it like an alarm. Like, I could set it the night before so at 10 am all my aps will lock. Or in 2 hours when I need to start working on something all my aps will lock! Other wise it’s great.
Liked it but HUGE pain
Really liked the idea of this app but once your lock is done it COMPLETELY rearranges your apps and home screens. Sadly I won’t be using again.
Apps jumbles after the session ends
Everytime a session ends, I see my homescreen getting all the apps not where they should’ve been. Kindly fix this
Clams
The only way you could make me happy is to make you smile
Doesn’t work anymore
I used this app over a year ago and thought it was fantastic. I’ve recently re-downloaded and just paid for a year, and unfortunately now does not work. I have installed uninstalled this system many times following the correct procedure and there are still errors. I would like a refund please as I have paid for a full year, alternatively, I would actually prefer it to work for a year. Thank you very much.
Not bad
Had a pretty effective work session because of this. I was wondering when features like a whitelist for apps will come. I think this would be more effective if we could choose which days and times (I.e 8:30 am to 6:00 pm) to block during the week.
Please fix
The block can be deactivated by going to Settings, General, Device Management, and deleting the MDM FlipD Profile.
please fix app moved
Would really love to purchase this, but could you please fix the app moved. I have too many apps, couldn’t afford to rearrange them in alphabetical order. I used this app before when It didn’t have this problem, and it helped my productivity in 10 fold! Thanks so much! This is such a huge drawback!
I can’t Live without this
As an university student who doom scrolls under stress this it a MUST HAVE. I also find myself doom scrolling when I should be doing more soul filling things and doing REAL relaxing instead. I swear on this app.
Very bad
After finishing time my apps are not returning.please help I am going to file a case on your app how careless
Initially tricky but now working.
Had some issue last early on and was very unhappy. But now it works really well. Locks me out of all my addictions. Pretty good.
Started good
Hello! I was a massive fan of this website at the start but now I am starting to get very worried. My apps have not come back after 2 days now, and I only set it for an hour! Please help me, I don’t know how to get my phone back to normal. Any advice on how to make my apps re appear or to uninstall permissions would be greatly appreciated! I have an iPhone 6s if that helps. Thanks a lot, Tegan.
apps moved
after the time was up all my applications were moved around completely, very frustrating.
Great
I don’t know if they have fixed a bug since the previous reviews but so far I think this app is amazing. Deletes all my downloaded apps for a period of time of my choosing then reinstalls them as if they hadn’t gone anywhere allowing me to focus and use my time more deliberately.
Use this app at your own risk❗️❗️❗️❌❌❌🆘🆘🆘Reasons below
They setup profile on your phone and if you give them permission they can track your data anytime and erase it anytime. Use at your own risk. They will never tell what data they will use. Its like hacking a phone remotely❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️🆘🆘🆘🆘❌❌❌❌
Great App
You get used to the reorganization of downloaded apps. It’s worth not. Wing able to click on them. I would like the ability to block apps for longer than 24 hours. Up to a week would be ideal for me. Thank You.
Apps don’t reappear
I’ve used Flipd Before, I know how useful/good it can be - but so far it’s not the same as it once was. Charging to use the full lock, okay fair enough (It is a bit pricey). And I can even accept the alphabetical order as I know it’s a limitation of working on iOS (it’s been like this for years they still haven’t worked out how to get round it) But what I can’t accept is when the time is up, the apps don’t reappear. It’s happened on multiple occasions now - and the only solution is to uninstall the permissions and reinstall them every time you want to use the full lock, which quite frankly is just idiotic. To pay £30 (year subscription) and for the basic feature to not work/stay working, it’s inexcusable. It worked before, why I can’t get it to work now is beyond me. And for some reason Safari is still available too, whereas on the old version it wasn’t. But to have to keep changing the permissions every time is just not on. Sort it out
Is this scam
On this app you have to downloaded something to your settings ,when i almost agreed it a message popped saying that the administrator has control of your personal data , not sure if this is safe .
Most useful to study
Great app
Feeling disgusting
This app is not working on my iPhone I dnt know y ?earlier it was working but this version is not working plz help kindly
Great, but the apps move.
This app is great, but after a session my apps get rearranged. Almost a perfect app, but one major flaw! :)
Good app, for only 5 sessions
This option used to be free on the previous app, which helped tremendously. But now with the new app, there’s a monthly subscription! Not to mention how expensive it actually is as well. I think it should be cheaper since your using the same system, just on a different app to pull of the focus lock. If you guys can make it cheaper or even free in the future, then I would definitely rate this app a 5/5. But for now it’s a 2/5 for me, as the monthly subscription truly ruins the user experience.
Good but there are problems
I installed the app and I found it great but when the full lock had finished all of my apps were not in their folders and all of the notification settings had been reset
