Danby device app works well
Controlling Dehumidifier with Schedules and for monitoring works very well.
Terrible. Outsourced to third party
Received email verification from some spammer email address with no first or business name. It obviously went to junk mail. It's from iot1atanntodotcom. User can't use same account on another device platform. Accurate temperature and speed control is issue in my experience, sorry I'm not diluting the meaning by writing challenges instead.
Almost a Great App
The app worked well to configure my Danby dehumidifier’s Wi-Fi — setup was quick and straightforward. Scheduling operation times is easy, and I can remotely turn the dehumidifier on and off, adjust the humidity set point, and change the fan speed. It also displays the current room humidity, which is helpful. My only suggestion is to add a clear indicator showing whether the unit is actively running or idle. Otherwise, a solid app for managing the dehumidifier remotely.
The permission settings said carema instead of camera you idiot😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂loser
Developer you don’t know how to spell camera😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Get this if you have the Danby dehumidifier
Set up was fast less than 5 min including account creation. I wanted to turn off the dehumidifier without getting out of bed and this app did its thing!
0 stars if I could
Couldn’t get the email to come through tried again and it appeared spam like nothing that seemed official from Danby so refuse to attempt. No wonder this App has 1.9 rating and that’s high according to my experience
Danby app
Working great for me. Can check humidity level in the room, change set point, adjust fan speed, turn on /off, and pump tank to drain( when hose attached and not using continuous drainage) from anywhere.
Pump button is not working when bucket is full
Pump button is disabled and not working when bucket is full. I have to go to my basement and press the pump button on dehumidifier. I did not get notifications when bucket is full.
App needs a few more features
AC unit itself is great. I like night mode to potentially save a little money. Why can’t the app offer a timer setting like just the buttons on the actual unit though?
Device easily connected to app
Saw a lot of negative reviews, but I had a great experience. Once my account was created I think it took less than 2 minutes to fully connect my A/C unit to the app and start using it. Seems straight forward and haven’t experienced any issues yet. Didn’t think I’d really use the app initially but after a few minutes with it I think it will come in quite handy.
Good Hardware, Worst Software
Your devices have a smart wifi chip and still limiting the users with basic functions on the app. It’s 2026; It’s a crime not to allow us connecting to Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa.
A/C is cold however...
The unit itself works very well. You are able to control the unit from your phone after the device is connected to your WiFi network. I like that when I leave work I can cool my apartment before I get home. I’ve heard issues with no compatibility with Alexa or google, I don’t use those, so I cannot comment on that. My only complaint is that the app constantly logs me out and I have to re-enter my password which is an annoyance, it is frequent. I bought the unit at Costco for nearly $300. I’m pretty satisfied with the product but I do wish the app worked a little better. Also it does read external temp is 102 at all times like other users have stated. I feel the unit does not display an accurate internal temp either. I usually keep my unit off eco mode and the fan on high speed. It does the job of keeping my apartment cold and that’s what I bought it to do. The bonus is being able to control the temperature away from home and it does an excellent job of that too. I’ve now owned this product for 1 year as I’m writing this review. I do recommend this product and app.
Just about works
You can do the basics like turning on your ac and a couple of other things but apart from that I wouldn’t even understand some of the other functions this app tries to show you. There’s spelling errors all over the place it’s just a terrible experience using this app. It’s a shame because if the app was improved a wide margin I think it would be an amazing companion app
How is High only 80% ?
Developers need to fix that High should be 100, not 80. Most people operate the fan at 100%, afterall that is what it turns on to the first time. There is no way in Favorites or Schedule functions to set the fan speed to 100 (only High, which is 80). This is nuts, who decided that illogic? High should be 100, Medium should be 70, and Low should be 30. Or add another level called “Max” and make that 100. … also, add lever orientation to the Favorite and Schedule functions. That way can set to Swing or Lowest angle of lever as part of those functions; is a 5min IT fix.
why so many negative reviews
app works perfectly for me. might be the model but we've had this ac for two years and no issues!
A nice surprise
Yes the registration was buggy and didn't send me an email and instead chewed me out in broken English but I didn't even know this had WiFi. It tells me the temps accurately and controls the unit from afar. Quite well actually. That's all I needed
“Deriction” is not a word
AC works well for me. The app does too, but “Deriction” should be “Direction” and “Horizontal S” should be “Horizontal Swing”. This really bothers me. Is it that hard to fix? There is also poor formatting in (three dot button) > Check > Details, and bad translation and grammar in (three dot button) > About Device > Description Of Device. This app was not ready to be shared with the world yet.
Works as intended
Don’t have anything else to say other than it works and controls my AC great
Unable to login
Unable to login On iphone
App is horrendous
The AC works pretty well, however that’s the only reason it’s getting two stars. The app is garbage. It won’t connect to my wifi and trust me when I say this I’m no fool when it comes to Technology. After two hours trying to connect and reading error I am giving up and just dealing with the fact that I won’t be able to cool my apartment before I come home. I work outside and looked forward to the remote start from my phone very much. Truly disappointed
Standard AC Control Works But No Google Integration
You get the same standard controls as the remote except not it’s over Wi-Fi, but the Alexa/Google Home integration appears to be false advertisement.
Great App
Window AC connected flawlessly through the app. I can now control all the functions of my AC unit through my phone and also see the status of the AC unit. Perfect so far.
Warning: email “confirmation” link is a spam/scam email
Couldn’t complete sign up because they force you to verify your email first. The problem is the email link appears to have been hacked. My phone won’t even let me open the link because it appears to be dangerous.
It’s not what you think. Hardly worth the setup effort.
I’m all about smart homes and I have several smart devices in my house. I recently got a sweet Danby air conditioner from Costco, and the packaging had an ad for this app. Neat, right? Nope. The app is slow and clunky. When I tried to sign up for an account, I was put in a cyclical signup journey where I was never sent a verification code to complete my account. Magically, I was still able to log in after a few more attempts. On first start up the app worked well. It quickly turned on the device and I could set up my preferences for the unit. However, a week later, everything changed. I’m constantly logged out of the app because of an in-app error (none of my other smart home apps log me out, and I have very stable internet). Sometimes it takes minutes for the app to connect to my air conditioning unit—which results in me just modifying my setting on the unit itself. Worse of all, the app rarely executes my set schedules. In fact, I’m convinced if you make more than two modifications to a saved schedule, it will break it. Now, I have an app that works occasionally. The schedules are broken. The app is clunky. And I have the constantly re-enter my credentials as I’m logged out on a weekly basis. I’d much rather you guys just work with the smart life or with another IFFT app.
Energy saving problem
App actually work well and had no problem configuring it. I love the scheduling option. I have the a/c start and stop on it’s own. With few changes of temperature. The problem is that with the latest upgrade it activating energy saving each day on its own, but it is not programmed option.
Works great
Worked great for me right away. Hope it stays that way. I can control the cooling before I reach home!!
Can’t get this to work
It’s rare these days to encounter product instructions that are this unconcerned with being understood. There are 2 Danby apps here, neither will connect to my air conditioner. The app instructions are spectacularly vague and it almost feels like a cruel prank. “Failed to add device. Check demerit points and retry.” Guess I’m the only one who has no clue what this appliance company means by demerit points? At this point I just want those 2 hours of my life back.
Schedule Failure
The app logs out and doesn’t maintain the programmed schedule.
App works fine, but can’t fight out some things
The app claims to like Amazon Alexa and Google home. Can’t find the Amazon Alexa skill. Otherwise, it’s nice to have the ability to turn on the AC before I get home.
Ac
Easy app take me 5 min to seat up Works perfectly
Outside temperature incorrect
Why does the app show an outside temperature of 102? It's maybe 80 outside. What function does it serve if so incorrect?
Don’t count on the WiFi
Bought this unit based on the ability to control and program from WiFi. It drops off the network every couple of days and you have to reinstall it o to the network. You can’t do this quietly like if your children are sleeping. The unit cools very well, but that wasn’t the only reason i bought this one. Also, the instructions aren’t great for operation. I still haven’t figured out how to turn off eco mode without using the app.
Works great
Working great with the 50pint humidifier I picked up at Costco. Not sure what the bad reviews are about unless people have network issues or old OS on their devices.
Warning: Activation link appears to be compromised.
The activation link appears to be hacked. The email address points to another domain, the activation link to yet another, and clicking the link changes the address again!
3 is a stretch
The app loaded and connected well. The problem is the out side temp says 102 all the time and as others pointed out there is no way to add auiatiim thru Alexa, google or even IFTTT.
Window AC
AC works for our condo. App was easy to setup and use.
Issues with temp and sleep timer
The AC unit is amazing and remote start option from the app is super helpful but there are 3 issues. 1. Constantly says it’s 102 degrees F outside. 2. Sleep timer is not user friendly. 3. Description says we can pair with Alexa. Have yet to figure this out?
