i generally love audius it’s like the new soundcloud however i’m running into a problem, everytime i get on the app no music is playing, i have to often delete the app and redownload and it will work for a few days then back to playing no music anytime i click on anything so please fix this bug, i would give a better review but this bug been annoying and i have to use the website which beats the purpose of the app. but you guys are amazing and i love this platform, 100% my support for you guys !!

It won’t let me buy/sell or add an external wallet so how am I supposed to be able to use the app if I can’t access the wallet? There’s no customer support to contact either so how can I get help to fix this issue? The play and music catalog is good. However, with no way to access your wallet, it’s useless.

Interesting Backers - Bad App
Vision of the app seems positive particularly for developing DJ sets (e.g. tracks include BPM and key info). Now the bad: - Upload doesn’t work the majority of the time with no indication of why. It hangs constantly and requires refilling the form with track details. - Playback will often play a completely unrelated song when going through playlists. The ugly: - Genre selection is limited, for an app clearly focused at electronic misc, a single “Electronic” genre is laughable. - Engagement is generally just less interesting than SoundCloud. They’ve gone for a gamified experience rather than a social experience.

I love the concept of Audius, but the app feels unfinished and needs work. The onboarding process is cumbersome—you’re required to follow three artists just to continue, which feels forced. The music preview feature is buggy—clicking on one artist often plays the same song from another, and you have to click through multiple artists to reset it. The user interface is plain with a white background, and the hub feels unorganized, making it difficult to enjoy the experience. The categories I selected during setup didn’t match the music I was shown, which felt confusing. I also had issues signing in with TikTok, as it failed multiple times. Despite these issues, I appreciate the concept and potential of Audius as a decentralized music platform. I hope it improves over time and becomes more user-friendly with smoother performance and a better layout.
Bug
I think I’ve spotted a bug where i click on a song it it takes 30 seconds to start playing as well as moving to different spots on the app it just pauses than goes to it. Pls fix this it does the same thing when I try to use it on my Apple car play

Seems to be something wrong with the app.
When I put my password in correctly, the app doesn’t open. But when I put my password in correctly, then it says in correct credentials. So that tells me the app is an opening up so you may want to take a look at that.

App crashes during setup
Created an account with email and password, app crashed right away. Tried multiple times to login but I end up with "Something went wrong" Using iPhone 14Pro
Schöne APP mit kleinen Schwächen.
Die APP ist relativ simpel aufgebaut, dennoch manchmal verwirrend. Man muss sich daran gewöhnen. Außerdem kommt man manchmal nicht aus einem Fenster raus, wenn man sich z.B. verklickt beim Rewards beanspruchen oder bei der Anmeldung. Wenn man zukünftig Spotify und Co. angreifen möchte, ist beim Design noch etwas zu tun. Die Tonqualität ist top! 👍🏼
Needs improvement
To be fair the platform works great on PC, but I have never been able to use it on my phone. It just doesn’t allow scrolling and I can’t even sign in because of it.

Just getting started with Audius Music. Some of the mixes are good enough to listen to! There’s a lot of material so not qualified to comment further. Until turntable.fm gets a reboot anyway.
Non starter
Buttons are always and I mean ALWAYS out of reach, because this UX is designed for phablets only, rendering it 100% useless to anyone who doesn’t want to carry something the size of a laptop in their pocket.

App not working correctly
I wanted to try this out but ran into an error where the login screen never completes. I fixed that by signing up a different account using the app. Then the upload feature also didn’t work. I tried again today and am back at the never completing login screen, where now both accounts just hang. Deleted before it could be used.
How to your hidden tracks public
This is a great and simple platform for music artists to share their music but how do you even change one of your hidden private tracks to public on the mobile app? I can do it on the PC website but why not the app?

C’est bien d’avoir une belle appli et de bonnes idées, encore faudrait-il avoir des serveurs qui fonctionnent bien. Il est urgent de faire quelque chose, l’appli est tout simplement inutilisable.
Replay button doesn’t work
The app is okay I don’t like that some producers require you to buy the beat lease before listening to it all the way through it kinda takes away from being able to write something to it, plus I bought a beat for $50 and was promised $50 Audius which I never received and the free one Audius dollar for downloading the app just freezes when trying to redeem.

Check out partyboi_oi. Dopest composer/producer aside from Ljazz and Stewart X and a lot more others.
Disappointed
Really disappointed with this app because it sounds good and the ideas around it are great BUT there is no technical support. For one my tracks that I’ve uploaded don’t even play and for two I can’t delete tracks!! Really needs to be fixed.

Não sei se é o tipo de app que os brasileiros usariam, mas é muito bem feito! Com certeza tem futuro. O app ainda está muito cru em relação a variedades de música… mas creio eu que isso vai melhorando com o tempo. Still very much in its infancy
Rewritten as last review got deleted. This review is written from a music creator’s point of view… Play stats poor compared to SoundCloud. Can’t see who has played your tracks and the stats include your own plays of your own tracks which is particularly poor. There are very few big hitters on board. You have to select acts to follow when registering from a very very small selection. If you are going to force users to do that at least give a better selection. Though I’m assuming that’s due to the lack of big hitters on board. $audio feels gimmicky. Like SoundCloud, you get users following you without listening to your tracks just to boost their own stats. This site still feels like it’s in its infancy. I use SoundCloud which is far from perfect and I’d love to switch to something else but if I’m honest Audius is a million miles away at the moment and I very much doubt it’ll ever get anywhere near to catching up.

Game Changer
The fact that AUDIUS gives control to the artist is a game changer! I can almost guarantee that as mainstream artist start to really see what AUDIUS brings to the table, they are going to hop off exchanges like, Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, etc. These companies just see dollar signs, and pay the artist cents to the dollar. Even with billions of streams, artist don’t make as much as they should by far. When it’s artist that actually drive in the revenue. Without their music these companies wouldn’t exist, and I know for a fact that artist are tired of these middle men that have their hands in their pockets 24/7. AUDIUS changes all of this. The possibilities are endless on here! They also support influencers? Game changer for sure!

The app keeps on crashing I’ve tried to delete and reinstall it but same problem again. Not really helpful.

Seems to be an awesome platform ! But you absolutely need to upgrade all your servers so we can use the app/web app without any problems bugs etc.. you will lose a lot of angry people that were discovering the platform :( I hope to see those updates sooon !
Glaring issues that need addressing
Mobile app repeat function for track does not work at all. Despite selecting repeat the track stops. Even using the mobile browser to access the site version the repeat button doesn’t work. Fundamental issues like this need to be addressed if the platform will survive, it has been like this for months.
