Die App ist kaum zu benutzen und sehr träge auf einem iPhone 16 Pro!
Almost great
A veritable treasure trove of information. Covers museums, architecture, events, walks, and more. You won’t be at a loss for things to do in Vienna with this app. Does not waste space with lodging and dining info. However, if you swipe through the Highlights section, you will be offered the opportunity to complete a survey, for which you will be rewarded with a “Viennese design classic” and a drawing for one of 5 cube clocks. But when you enter the survey, the prizes change to one of 3 watches. And after you complete the survey you find out that the drawing was December, 2024. Somebody isn’t keeping this app up-do-date!
Könnte schneller sein
Ich gebe dem Inhalt dieser App fünf + Sterne, allerdings scheint sich die Fülle der Inhalte auf das Ladetempo der einzelnen Inhalte auszuwirken. Selbst mit WiFi oder 5G dauert das Laden und die Navigation in der App einfach zu lange.
Eigentlich Klasse, aber nicht für Öffi Ticket
Die App ist super, um sich für die Wien Reise inspirieren zu lassen. Allerersten habe ich zwei große Kritikpunkte. Erste ist der Verbrauch mobiler Daten extrem hoch, bei mir wurden in zwei Tagen 1,5 GB verbraucht, vieles davon im Hintergrund. Zweitens, und das war für mich viel ärgerlicher: ich hatte mir das Öffi ich über die App gekauft und am Abreisetag, als wir es sehr eilig hatten, bei einer Kontrolle wollte ich dieses vorzeigen und die App meldete bloß, dass sie mich aus Sicherheitsgründen nach einiger Zeit ausgeloggt habe. Das wäre ja kein Problem, wenn denn das Einloggen nicht so ein Krampf wäre. Das (richtige) Passwort wird nicht akzeptiert, ein zurücksetzen nicht möglich, da das neue Passwort nicht gültig sei. Zum Glück akzeptierte der Kontrolleur die Rechnung des Öffi Tickets als Nachweis, so dass wir weizer konnten und den Anschlusszug noch erwischt haben...

Always freezing
I love the idea of this app, but in use it’s so slow (it kept freezing and I’d have to force quit). I couldn’t use the audio guide or pick what I wanted to listen to- it would never load. It was good to have the map and then I would Google the landmarks to find the route. Just switching between info panels on the main menu took a very long time.
Irgendwie unvollständig
Der Eintrag „Gib uns Feedback“ in der App führt zu „Formular nicht vorhanden“ bei Microsoft. Ist diese triviale Funktion etwa kein regelmäßiger Regressionstestfall? Ich würde gern mein Hotel als Ausgangspunkt meiner Touren hinterlegen – Hotels kennt die App aber nicht, als ob das für Touristen die Ausnahme wäre. Ich habe die App und mein Handy, um mich zu identifizieren. Dann brauche ich aus meiner Sicht keinen Login. Schließlich brauche ich eine zusätzliche App für das U-Bahn-Netz. Angesichts dieser Unzulänglichkeiten überlege ich, ob ich dieser App meine Vienna City Card anvertrauen kann.
Cannot link City Card
Downloaded the app which has lots of information but the main reason was to link my City Card for travel in a couple of weeks time. The app asks to be updated but it cannot be updated. So really the app is only a guide!
Gute Idee, aber noch ausbaufähig
Die Idee ist gut, das Anlegen eines eigenen Profils ist aber sehr fehlerhaft, man muss sich ständig aus und einloggen. Da ist noch einiges nachzuarbeiten!
Hilfreich
Die App hat sehr hilfreiche Funktionen, z. B. das die Zielort per klick auf GoogleMaps deine Routen anzeigt. Auch die Tipps und Infos sind gut und hilfreich.
Schlecht
Einsetzen einer bereits gekauften City Karte nicht möglich, die App stürzt andauernd ab. Somit kann ich die bereits gekauften Rabatte nicht nutzen. Unterirdisch!

Can you tell me in km how far a “one hour walk” is on your app? I don’t find that a useful measure, thanks!

Mit City Card und ansprechenden Hinweisen, kann man entspannt und ausgiebig informiert Wien entdecken.

Auf meinem 13 pro max ruckelt das nur - komplett unbedienbar.
Great for planning our visit - beware heavy data usage
Very well designed: full of high quality (well written and up to date) content on what to do/ see in Vienna. Used it almost exclusively to plan my three days in Vienna and was very happy with my trip. Only CAVEAT is that is uses a lot of data if you’re using it to Eg follow a city walk (navigating the map, reading overviews of sites along the route, etc). It used up 2.5 GB on one day (I can see this in my eSIM settings), and I had to top up my data plan. Wish they had an offline function to be able reference basic things without using up so much data.
Hängt sich ständig auf
Die App hängt sich permanent auf, wenn man auf seine eigenen Orte geht. Sehr nervig. Bitte fixen.

This app is so painfully slow it took me 10 mins to add my city card. I pressed each button and waited a few seconds while typing. I don’t know how I’m going to use the app. I cannot take screenshots…it’s designed to not screenshot all the info!!
Super Idee - Verbraucht leider viel Datenvolumen
Die App ist wirklich ein Traum. Man lernt nicht nur interessante, sehenswerte Orte, Plätze und Gebäude kennen, sondern lernt auch etwas über die Geschichte Wiens. Besonders toll sind die Audio- Führungen (zB durch die Ringstraße). Einziges Manko: Die App benötigt sehr viel Datenvolumen (vmtl. wegen der Audio Guides).
Poorly designed app
No ability for in app purchase! Why not add all purchases for attractions etc thru this app.
Super informative App
Tolle App, sogar kostenlos, kann ich nur empfehlen! Man bekommt die ersten Informationen über die Sehenswürdigkeiten bzw. Sisi.
Vienna City Card geht nicht
Die App funktioniert überhaupt nicht. Möchte man die gekauften City Cards hinzufügen wird jedes Mal ein Update der App verlangt. Jedoch ist die aktuellste Version installiert. Tatsächlich musste man zu Fuß zum Service Point und die App Tickets gegen Papier Tickets umtauschen.
Impossible to import into app
2 cards where purchased on a different device (one for my partner, one for me). I sent my partner’s one to his phone, but it is impossible to import it… I always get “invalid card number). So frustrating

Nicht existentes Update
Leider funktioniert die Wien-Karte aktuell mit keinem Apple Produkt. Man muss umständlich zum Info-Center, um sich dort eine Karte ausdrucken zu lassen. Schade
Nur fürs Handy?
Ohne Version fürs iPad ziemlich sinnlos...
Very good guide to get ideas from
Works fine, it is easy to use and it offer pictures from the places it suggests to visit. Plus, you can export or share suggestion to your mail, notes or other apps which makes it easier and fast the suggestions.
Funktioniert nicht
Mit einem iPhone kannst du Pech haben und die Fahrkarten nicht laden. Du landest in einer Endlosschleife mit der Aufforderung, update laden, was man aber nicht kann. Ich hatte dringend von dieser App ab.

Problem mit Vienna City Card nach Update
Seit dem letzten Update habe ich keinen Zugriff mehr auf meine Vienna City Card. Die App fordert mich ständig auf, das Update zu installieren, obwohl es bereits durchgeführt wurde. Nun kann ich die Karte nicht nutzen.
