When I tried to go to hero trial through territory it said level 300 required but when I went to events it let me go to hero trial through theme league. I’m on level 232 by the way
Frustrated
I have been playing this game for years. I have waited for two years + for the next level of players to go past level 17 it hasn’t happened. I most days you can’t just log in because it won’t let you. Then it will steal your coins on the wheel because it won’t stop. This game is very frustrating and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Decent game
Fun time waster that you don’t have to spend money on but it did cheat me out of resources and units today which it hasn’t done before. Very disappointing.

Good make brain duh game
There is no strategy, there is no “war game” attribute. You must attack those less stronger or you lose every time. Unless you buy, everything is random and at the mercy of that randomness. But ok to sit and lose a few minutes to unplug
VERY Expensive
The gameplay can be challenging because the on board Ai or game mechanics are screwy, you can have a much stronger army than your enemy, but you can lose because of how the game is set up. Thing that pisses me off the most about this game is how freaking expensive it is, they have 600 gems for $1.99 and that’s the best deal you you can possibly get and even that is a rip off. There are some chests and/or gameplay options that cost up to $99.99, and that’s not even the most expensive part of this game. I’ve been playing for two years and I have wasted Hundreds of dollars on this game, why do I continue playing it? Because it’s fun! But it’s still a huge rip off; The developer's are like monkeys beating a smaller animal for fun~ They enjoy the pain and torture they inflict on the rest of us who just want to play an awesome game without having to pay thousands of dollars to keep up with the other armies and units. Leveling up your heroes are incredibly expensive, $9.99 for 10 hero shards which sounds like a lot but actuality is nothing and it’s just so pricey 😯🥺

Update 3/3/2026 Dev response - “We understand we’re false advertising and you saw one of our fake ads and called us out for it in December 2025, i stead of us, the developers, looking through our extremely limited marketing material that we have full access to, to see what we’re false advertising on, we kindly ask you, the player, to do all the work for us and find the ad from 3 months ago, that we paid to show you, that was false advertising.” I 100% understand English isn’t your first language in Singapore. What I cannot understand is how dense you guys are. Reported again to App Store. Too easy but a great app
I have played this for over 2 years but it’s just too easy. I mean, you get new troops after like 2 days and it gets easier and easier can we just buff the enemy troops?
Constant crashes
Constant crashes on IOS 26, iPhone 13. Especially during battles, this is the only game this happens for me.

I played this game until I was on level 5000. Then, my phone got stolen and my progress was lost. Back up to level 800.
Newest update is blasphemy to Christians.
I’ve officially called it quits after many years playing this game. The newest update introduced a new Hero called Lucifer and has him wearing a crown of thorns, Jesus wore that while being crucified. Are they only going to blasphemy against Christians or are other religions next to be mocked? Is Muhammad or Allah next or do you only intend to offend just Christians. This is a new all time low for any game I’ve ever played.
Latest update lost almost everything.
Been playing for years. Got an update in the last day or so and it’s put me back at level 0 (or 1, depending on the screen). Still have 387M coins, and multiple heroes up to level 15, but all progress is gone. Arena shows “Unlocks on Level 0”. Very disappointed. Hopefully it gets fixed ASAP. UPDATE: issues have been fixed
Feel like I’ve entered bizzaro world with this update
Not saying the old interface couldn’t have used some tweaks, but the sudden, unannounced drastic change in the interface is ruining the game. Past changes have been advertised well ahead of time, and now without even a note, we’ve been given the most basic reinterpretation of the entire game. Things that used to be laid out and accessible are now hidden behind multiple steps and in locations that don’t make sense and using icons that look amateurish like someone did this as their first UX project. Things don’t work right and I’m constantly getting notifications for things that are not new. Killing my desire to even play.
Its good but some times doesn’t make sense
Been playing the game for a while and i enjoy it a-lot i mean its perfect for resting and just mindlessly playing something before bed but in the arena it makes no sense how i have maybe what?10-50k more power and i end up losing arena points for absolute no reason. Can someone please explain why this happens?
Keeping it fresh for six years
The AoW team works to create events and new heroes and troops on a. Paced schedule. I have played it for six years so I have extensive experience with the game. This is more of a thank you for adding new stuff from time to time. The arena battles keep it dynamic every season as the hundreds of thousands of players keep trying to outdo each other. Thank you

New UI is seriously awful. So bad that I’ll probably drop this game until you foist your next overhaul on the players
Amazing and fun game, but…..
This is an awesome game to play. The game modes, the styling, the setting and the troops and heroes are perfect for this type of game. Every aspect is really good and fun in the beginning, but as you progress through the game it gets more and more difficult which in my opinion is better than sticking at the same level. It adds challenge to the game; however when you start getting level 9/10 troops, good heroes at level 15+ and mid conquerer league the game starts to slow down and you need to put hours and hours into the game and you need to prepare yourself mentally if things don’t go your way and you’ve spent hours on a thing that doesn’t work. This is just a heads up to new players and people that want to play this game/thinking of playing the game. It is very frustrating in the arena and I would definitely take things slow when starting out to play the game. Overall, this is a solid game with many fun aspects to it and I would recommend this game to other people.

Once again I updated the game today and I can’t sign and the game won’t load….. fix it please! I have 3 years invested!

Doesn’t work on older IPads.
I enjoy this game on my phone(despite its frequent bugs) but recently that phone crapped out so was hoping to still play using my IPad. It’s iOS 12.5.5, game claims to work on iOS 12 and up. But nope. I’ve ruled out every other option as to why the game crashes the second I open it every time, and the “customer support” gave very little effort to help. So guess they just lost a customer since they can’t/won’t offer decent tech support:/

I have enjoyed playing this game for a couple of years but a couple of hacks/ cheats are being used by a good few players and the arena part of the game is being spoilt. Will consider quitting the game, but hoping the developers will deal with quickly.

Pretty good but has problems
I like this game but I have a few issues: #1 the game has a bit too much ads I know it’s how you make money but it can be annoying . #2 it takes so long later in the game to get new characters . And the biggest problem my units won’t die making it have no challenge thus making it boring

I’m not being rude, just saying facts. 1. It’s too easy. 2. It has little to no strategy element in it. If you’re looking for a strategy game that’s more strategy than this one but not complex like others, I’d recommend conflict of nations, if you’re looking for a full fledged strategy game I’d recommend Hearts Of Iron 4.

Is the only fun part about this game. Sadly you have to play the grindy main game a lot to unlock it.
Fun, but not as advertised.
It’s actually really fun just in the ads it looks like you can create formations and like a mapping game but all you’re really doing is killing random soldiers and getting money to upgrade or buy new soldiers. Did I mention that this game is totally player-sided? When you battle you could have like one archer and they could have like 19 warriors or whatever and you would just steamroll them, it’s too easy. I really wanted a game like how its advertised, maybe you can change the advertisements to actual game footage instead of scams?

Everyone that doesn’t like this game says its because “you just need high level people to win and no formations matter” well can i tell you, THEY MATTER SO MUCH. I have a 51.50 in my FORMATION score which i thinks pretty good i have 188k overall damage. This morning i played someone that was only at 80k i was so sure it was gonna be easy to win “IN ARENA” turns out they had 2 units 1 Here lv 15 and one unite lv 7 and i loss, ANYWAY moral of story this is a fire game and editors yall cooked in making the game / Side-note can you guys add a new mode in territory its getting pretty boring i played everything in 2 hours snd coulsnt do anything else

Great game but ….
Really loving the game as it east to play and there is a good spread of different missions, etc. But for some reason my x3 button for increasing gold by watching a video in Headhunt has just started fading out and shows a loading icon. Not a biggy but is slightly annoying!
