Quality is unbelievable and is made for women
I am skeptic by nature when it comes to fitness and workout apps. I have tried many of them and still struggle to achieve my goals. SHREDDY has what I am looking for in a fitness app: workouts and recipes made by experts, recipes that taste delicious, and a sense of community. This app is for women who needs to feel confident about who she takes on her fitness journey.
Glitchy
This is the glitches up I’ve ever experienced. Paid for three months in advance and they failed to give me a refund despite multiple complaints about the app consistently messing up. really unhappy and will never use again
Good app but not perfect (potential to be though!)
App has a nice aesthetic and good plans available. I do think there are some bugs like some of the workout videos don’t match the descriptions. Also some of the videos are a bit old school and it would be nice if they matched the vibe of the app (more professional shots). If you accidentally close the app whilst you’re doing a workout it would be good to come back and see the workout still running so you can jump back in. Just a few small UX flaws that i think would make it so much better but hard to describe on here!
Glitchy app
I like the workouts but the app is so glitchy - won’t let me change the days of my workouts - won’t even let me open the app sometimes as it crashes
Good but app needs some work
I do really like this app for the amount of different workouts on it but it’s super glitchy and sometimes loses my workouts / progress which is annoying considering you have to pay for it.
Life changing!
I am 4 months postpartum with my second child so getting out to a gym is not an option for me. This has been absolutely amazing to give me structure and take away some of the mental load having to think of what to do. The range of plans and training styles is great and I am loving it. Great for my physical health to regain my fitness and strength and also so good for my mental health and choosing to focus on me for a sort time each day. Also loving the new addition of the postpartum program! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Battery drainer
Amazing workouts and premise but my god the app runs terribly. Drains your battery in one workout and is now stopping your music every time the timer comes on. It’s driving me mad and it’s not cheap!

Honestly I have never felt so accountable to complete my weeks workouts in 2 years of training. Loving working out again after a rut of hating it! Super easy to use and tailored to your specific goals/availability and it is affordable! Can switch exercises if your gym doesnt have the machines. Nothing to not like. ❤️

How can one ask for a yearly subscription without even showing the app...ridiculous given the market competition
A great app when it works
I’ve been using the app consistently and very much rely on it for my workouts and what I plan to do. So it’s frustrating g when the app won’t open right now and I’m here in the gym lost not utilising my time right!
No offline support
I love a SHREDDY workout but in the gym I don’t have an internet connection and the app struggles whilst offline or a dip in the connection

This is the first fitness app I’ve ever purchased and it is genuinely perfect!
Glitchy
Love the idea, but the app is glitchy! Cannot play any downloaded workout videos (gym has no wifi) and then the page freezes. Managed one out of 9 workouts in 3 weeks. What’s a waste of money :(
Great workouts but glitchy app
There's a good variety of fun workout plans, and I like that I can switch out individual exercises within a workout. Unfortunately, the app is very glitchy, it keeps freezing or quitting altogether. Some of the videos demonstrating the exercises need to be muted.
App needs working on!!!
I redownloaded the Shreddy app this year and the app is extremely laggy and buggy. It closes mid workout and I’ve lost progress/tracking. I have to switch workouts multiple times for it to save. When I try switching workouts the scroll part is extremely laggy, I can never get passed the Hyrox workouts (which not everyone wants to take part in “trend” workouts!). I’m extremely disappointed as I used to love this app but I feel like scaling and numbers is their priority and not improving the experience for the paying customers.
Good but clunky app!
Overall the workouts are good but the app itself is terrible. I’ve been logged out numerous times and it says user not found so I can’t use it for a couple of days then it decides to work again which makes me loose my progress as I can’t follow my plan and when you want to switch a workout it does not register and is so slow. You can to switch it numerous times for it to register. You can’t select the days you want to workout or it doesn’t register what days you pick when you pick a plan and just pre populates so you have to manually re select the plans which again it sometimes does not register. It’s a good programme just for the price you would expect a top notch app to go along side it!
Great app
I always struggle with motivation & what to do in the gym but this gives me all the motivation I need, I see real results & progression. Really impressed highly reccomend!

I love the idea of Shreddy and when the workouts load they are really good i feel like i accomplish a lot, but considering you pay for the app it is far from worth paying for. You can’t download any of the workout videos, they buffer and load the app glitches like no tomorrow. I’d say you can get a far better app for less money and still get the same results without the frustration of using a bad app.
Great workouts but laggy app
The Shreddy workouts are amazing. There’s a really good library with lots of different workouts for home and gym. The plans on the app are great and I’ve always had really good results. Even the meals are easy to make and follow. HOWEVER, the app can be quite laggy and there have been a few times that I have lost my progress with a workout. It also doesn’t sync with Apple Watch/fitness. Overall I would recommend though.
Not worth it.
The app lags constantly and feels poorly optimized. Many recipes are incomplete, often listing only half of the ingredients actually required. The workouts are not beginner-friendly. I specifically entered information to receive an at-home plan, yet the app generated a gym-based program instead. Overall, it’s been a very disappointing experience, and I regret purchasing the annual membership.
Alright
It’s good for various things. But the actual plan you get if it’s in the gym I’m not going to prop my phone up for a video I prefer the ones that tell you which exercise so you don’t have to have your phone set up to watch. Actually find it hard to swap out on the plans on the app as limits the swap out.
Love the Challenge!
As a more experienced weight lifter, it can be hard to find an app or program that’s the right amount of challenging without making me overly fatigued. I love how accessible this app is for all levels, whether you’re comfortable in the gym or just getting started! Favorite workout app for sure, and I’ve tried pretty much ALL of them 😂
Glitchy!
Decent workouts but the app is so glitchy, reading other reviews it seems to have not been looked into! Really hard to change workouts, once you’ve completed it, it can’t be changed, the back arrow also takes ages, so you’re clicking it numerous times before you can go back a page. Just really annoying.
Good workouts, slow app
Does anyone else find the app is very laggy and takes a long time to load? I love the workouts but this annoys me. It would be great if there was more flexibility around the number of workouts per week as well; I would like to only do 1-2 gym workouts a week but the plans are set up for 4-5 days a week.
App itself lets it down :(
Such a shame the workouts seem so decent but the app itself is so glitchy and it keeps shutting down. I've now resorted to using other things instead
Laggy app.
The workouts are good and I like the format of the app. There’s lots of options to choose from depending on what you want to work on too. The real issue is the app is super laggy and it can be really frustrating when you are in the middle of a workout. I think when you are paying £14 a month subscription you shouldn’t have these issues. I think I’ll be reverting back to LADDER app as I don’t seem to have any lag issues with it.
Great exercise videos !
Great videos and advices for sucking in the belly button, reminding to breath, also help to do easier option if the hard option is to much. I’m enjoying the exercises.

Okay
The workouts are good. The app is heavily targeted at a vegan diet which is not ideal because if you want to choose a meal plan (eg for fat loss) but you want to eat meat/fish more than for meal a week, you have to manually switch out the meals. Even with the diet plan set to ‘standard’ it is 95% vegan/veggie.
Much better apps out there
This is poorly put together, often bugs and I’ve even had to restart a workout halfway through which is so frustrating. The Pilates workouts are the best as she actually talks you through the moves but the lifting and strengthening exercises are so repetitive and so I get bored very quickly. They are also hard to follow as there is one camera angle and no description of what you should be doing. I have often had moves not play at all so I am just making it up so I don’t have to restart the workout. There are way better apps or just YouTube videos that are much more motivating and fun to use.
It’s ok, but could be better
The app has a decent mix of workouts, which have expanded over time although do tend to get a bit repetitive. Main drawback is functionality of the app itself. It does terribly with poor / limited connectivity which is quite often the case in gyms. It will freeze or get stuck on loading and force you to completely exit the app which takes time and is often frustrating. Not much seems to have been done to improve this and I’ve had the app for a few years now.
Wow wow!!
I’m absolutely loving SHREDDY! It’s making me stick to the workouts and not miss any 🙈 I’ve used so many different workout apps and subscriptions I can honestly say this is the only one I’ve used where I feel it I’ve nearly completed my first week and I already feel so good. If you’re hesitating don’t!!
Not for Beginners
Don’t let the description fool you. There’s not a single work out in the app for beginners. In my opinion it’s a medium to advanced app so keep that in mind before purchasing because there are no refunds.
Love the app but currently got glitches!
It’s not saving my tracked weights or reps which makes it really hard to track progression. Other than this I love the app.
Boring, glitchy and not much choice
This is a good app for beginners who are brand new for working out but not for those who have been working out for a while. There isn’t much variety in workouts and I find the user interface quite boring and un motivating. There are much better apps on the market for workouts
Workouts great, functionality could be better
I’ve been loving the workouts and challenges, the plans are super helpful for keeping me motivated and there’s a good range of options. I do find the actual app functionality quite frustrating though. It freezes a lot, doesn’t always save workouts completed, doesn’t do well with low signal and recently has been draining my battery.
Shreddy is keeping me on track!
Other than training for my 10k, I think this is the first time I can say that I’ve been consistent with working out. Barring my holiday I’ve been working out on average 4 times a week since November and I’m very proud of myself. Thank you Shreddy!
Glitchy
This apps theme song should be Glitch. Every time I open it, it can’t keep up. I’m constantly having to interrupt my workout to deal with the app. The app defaults to 10 seconds between sets… I certainly appreciate a snappy workout but 10 seconds is not enough rest time in a lift session. If it is you can lift heavier. Maybe I’m a silly goose and can’t figure out how to adjust this but either way it’s annoying. Overall disappointed that I paid for a year of using this bad app. Wish I would have kept paying more for an app that was very clearly better developed. Here’s hoping that it gets better over the year.

i enjoy the workouts and the range of plans but with how bad the app is it makes it not worth the money because i can’t bear to use it, it’s not at all smooth to use it’s also very slow and glitchy - there are plenty of others that do the same thing but better unfortunately 🥲
Great work outs, glitchy app
I love the guides and ability to tailor the plans to suit your goals/needs. The workouts are well thoight out and filmed making it easy to follow along. However the app is so slow, every time I have to open and close the app twice before anything loads, the videos stop and start buffering. When clicking into a new tab the content takes a long time to load.
Wouldn't be without
I love this app. If you're like me and a gym girl but hate having to create your own plans this is for you. Or even if you're new to the gym this is also the perfect app. 10/10 love it!!
App is glitchy 👎🏽
It started out with the app first not allowing me to delete workouts that were pre-set for my week… Now it will not let me add workouts to my week… Customer service is unhelpful and will pretty much tell you “We’re unable to recreate this issue on our end, maybe the problem is you”. Save your money and go elsewhere— Shreddy does not care if you pay for their services and are unable to access it.
Good app, could use some interface updates
App is good and definitely worth the money but the interface is kinda glitchy and some small things just don’t make sense. For example, I’m doing the 45 day challenge and it keeps moving me to week three when I’m on week two. It takes about four try’s to get back to week two. Then when I try to move a workout it just clicks on the workout like I’m about to do it and again it takes about foutr try’s to get to just move the workout. These are small things but they make a difference in user interface and they’re a bit annoying.
Glitchy app!
Love the idea of the app and videos etc but the app is sooo glitchy. It’s annoying when it forgets to show you your history of a previous exercise, sometimes the timer comes on and others it doesn’t. I won’t be renewing my membership - plenty of free better apps out there
Good workouts dodgy app
The workouts are really good but the app is poor. It’s not tracking my workouts or progress so it’s hard to keep track of. Also sometimes the videos come up blank and you have to exit the whole app before returning. I’m only just beginning my journey with SHREDDY but for the money I paid, I’d except a decent app to go along with the workouts
