Fitter than ever!
I have been using the app for 8 months as a new mum and it has made my journey with getting back Into fitness so much easier. I have done three of the programmes now and I have seen so much progress in my physic and fitness. Really easy to use and so much on there for all types of fitness levels.

The app is awful, lots of glitches. Shuts down through a workout and doesn’t save the info. Much better fitness programme apps out there
Glitchy
The content itself is great and I’ve followed Meggan for years, but the app is still so glitchy even after years of having it. If the positive affirmation does not pop up when you first open the app, you can’t access any of the workouts. Sometimes I have to close the app and reopen it 5 times just to get the popup to be able to access the workouts. As well as this, when I am halfway through a workout, the app will sometimes crash and I have to restart the app again. The notifications/leave a review popup is really annoying. If I don’t want to put them on the first time, I’m not going to put them on the billionth time. The app should save my choice and stop pestering me. The weight history icon is too close to the video example icon so when I am trying to look at my weight history, the example videos always pop up instead. When I want to restart a fitness plan after already completing it, the app recognises that I have already done it, and auto-completes all of the workouts, making it difficult to keep track of my new progress. Yes, the app is extremely affordable, however, I would rather pay a bit more for an app that works well without these annoying glitches. It’s a shame as Meggan is great and this has nothing to do with the actual content, but these issues have me considering cancelling my subscription and finding a better fitness app.
Bugs are driving me mad!!!
So many bugs on this app, it constantly crashes and deletes my workout! So infuriating.
Bugs with audio
I love this app so much but recently it has been causing any audio I am listening to to glitch out. This only resolves once the workout is complete or I reset my phone.
Best app by far
Have been using this app for a while now and love the workouts! I usually just go for the programmes and follow them till the end and join a new one! Never get bored of the workouts! Such great value for money and you see results 🙌🏻
Being charged Subscription after cancelling a year ago!
Woke up this morning and I’ve been charged for this app that I cancelled a year ago. I no longer have account to go get into to cancel through so I’ve now had to contact my bank to block payments. I’ll have to do this again in 13 months time. And I won’t get a refund for it. Very disappointed. Please make it an easier process cancelling subscriptions because this is really annoying.
Really good app! Some tech issues though
I’ve used this app for 4 ish years and I’ve never got bored. It’s got great workouts that track your progress and let you personalise. My only issues with it are tech things that could probably be fixed but haven’t been for at least a year. Firstly, you can record your weight (that you’re lifting) in kg and lbs, but on your progress it doesn’t convert convert between them so the 3 workouts I recorded in lbs are stuck at my best even though I’m lifting heavier in kg now. Just a bit annoying, not a major issue. The other annoying thing is every time I open the app it tries to get me to turn on notifications. Every single time. Otherwise a great app! And I tried a few others before settling on this one.
Very poor app
I have tried my best to persist with using this app. However it is taking me over 10 minutes to actually access a workout. You choose a workout and click Select and it takes you right back to the homepage. This has always been an issue for me with using this app and a complete waste of time and money. There is no Updates at the moment for me to update the app either. The workouts are good once you are eventually able to access them.
App glitches
App constantly crashes. You can’t see any previews of any workouts unless you click begin. It would be good to see more options for progress overload rather than 12 reps each set. Also would be good to see more workout splits e.g. back and biceps rather than a full body one. Also when I try to log my workout, it freezes a lot and doesn’t save.
I got abs!
I developed visible abs for the first time ever, by following one of the strength plans! It’s like your own pocket sized PT, for a fraction of the cost. I love how there are videos for each exercise, and lots of workout plans to choose from (depending on your goal). A nice mix of exercise & wellbeing features.
Glitchy
I recently purchased a subscription. Predominantly for meals more than anything however the app constantly crashes. I try and scroll through the menus but it’s impossible to find anything without it crashing. By the time you have restarted the app and managed to find anything - it crashes again. Extremely non user friendly.
Great Workout app
I’ve been using the app for the past 6 weeks, I am loving the exercises. I’m giving it 4 stars due to the app having glitches.

Great workouts let down by a bad app
As other reviews say, the workouts are really good but the app itself is basic and frustrating to use. Feels like it’s missing some extra features too such as the ability to more easily track your progress with weights lifted and overall volume increase/decrease, and somewhere to view the details of workouts you’ve recently completed so you can see things like PBs etc. Please invest in improving the app’s UX to make it easier and less frustrating to use as the workouts are really good!

Great app - would love to see my progression more
I love this app so much, so easy and aesthetic for daily workouts! I’ve just finished the strength program and loved it!! The one thing I would say as an improvement is that I would love to see the previous weight I’d done next to the exercise, so I can progress easily without guessing the weight every time or needing to make a note elsewhere. Other apps do this and it’s so helpful!
Fantastic Content, Poor App
I really want to love this, and I’m reluctant to cancel because I do love the content. BUT the app is just so poor. It constantly crashes mid workout, and then doesn’t save your workouts when completed. Meaning I’m now having to track my workouts on a separate spreadsheet/notes on my phone and just try and use the app for guidance of what to do in the gym. So unfortunate because the idea and the content is 10/10 but the app is letting it down :( hopefully it can be addressed and fixed soon!
Great content but so glitchy
I really want to love this and support Meggan because the content is great and has given me new exercises and motivation but it’s just so glitchy so I will probably cancel as I can’t justify paying for something that just doesn’t work as it should. It doesn’t save all exercise history, cuts your music off when putting weight/rep info in, says 100% through a plan when I’m on week 5 of 8, has 3 sets of one exercise and 4 of the other in a superset and I’m sure more that escape me currently. The most disappointing part is that I had this app 3 years ago and had the exact same issues so they haven’t been addressed in this time. All of the exercise videos are the same too which I understand as it’s the same exercise but it gives the impression that the app hasn’t been improved since it launched.

Horrible and disgusting refund policy
No refunds no matter what for an app that literally doesn’t work. I’m not one to complain about things and am typically a pretty tolerant user. This app and their policies surrounding it are disgusting. If I try to start a workout, it takes me back to the workout homepage. It simply doesn’t work as advertised. I don’t understand how it has 4.8 stars. I’m 28 and tech savvy… I work for a tech company. Don’t purchase this.
Not perfect, but the workouts are great ⭐️
If you’re looking for effective but manageable workouts, look no further! If you’re looking for the perfect fitness app… maybe not so much. There’s a wide array of workout plans for every stage in your fitness journey. Each plan is challenging but manageable. The recipes look delish, and they cater to vegan/veggie options too. The app itself is quite glitchy, and glitches you highlight don’t seem to get resolved, but I can look past that because of the workouts. Megan often mentions what a supportive community there is at Beyond within the chat sections, however, everyone asks questions but most fail to answer any, and if you do go out of your way to answer, you’ll rarely get acknowledged. It does feel a little selfish on the chat-side which is a shame. I think it could be a really great feature if they selected moderators who could answer Qs and promote conversation. Overall, I’ll defo stay for the workouts and Megan as it’s really worth it imo, but the app could do with some improvements.
Please improve glitches
Love the workouts and the idea of this app but it’s full of bugs and glitches. It had an update in the new year which I was hoping would fix things but it’s still the same. Can only see one one my previous sessions so can’t check weights, often I will load the app and it won’t let me click on anything so have to force close down and start again, I will be halfway through a workout and it will randomly say my workout has been lost meaning I need to input all the weight info back in. Please fix asap
Great workouts but glitchy app!
I love the workouts on this app. However, the app itself is very glitchy. I am following a plan and I often find that it completes and ends my entire workout, closes the workout, or sometimes won’t open at all. I am also unable to select any workouts when I am signed up to a plan. Even just a 7 min ab workout, it only lets me preview but doesn’t let me select the workout! I’ve tried to find somewhere to contact to see if it is an issue just with my account but I’ve not been able to find any way of contacting support. Disappointing as I would give 5* for the content but the app itself brings the rating down.
Very good app!
I’m really impressed by this App, been using it for a few months and have really enjoyed my training, following the focussed programmes. The workouts are all around 1 hour generally but you can just do as much as you want to tailor it to the time you have. The stretching videos to end the sessions are great too.
So many bugs
The app is so glitchy. I am gutted as I love the idea and the general content is great but I can’t see past the amount of glitches - this is a paid app, it just isn’t acceptable. I submitted a ticket to the developer team to highlight the glitches to them in case they weren’t aware, and the response to my ticket was a link on “how to cancel your subscription”. Really poor all round, a massive disappointment.
Minor glitches but love it!
I love love this app. It has changed my gym life for the better and keeps me on track. Only thing recently this year it has had some glitches where it doesn’t open up or freezes. Especially in a time crunch it gets a little frustrating. Other than that the app is so helpful and amazing!!
Great Workouts but so buggy !!
Absolutely love the workout set up and all the plans that are available but there are way too many bugs! Such a shame as I love everything else about it but all the glitches need to be sorted
Buggy app
I’ve been using this app for years and have tried to give feedback but it seems it’s just not listened to. The actual content is amazing and I love Megan, but the app itself is really buggy! It crashes CONSTANTLY and rarely works well. I’m constantly having to redownload it from the App Store just to get it to work. I’ve spent half an hour closing and reopening the app before to get it to work and it’s really frustrating. Finally writing this review after it crashing so many times mid workout. Please focus on the user experience or I might have to give up hoping it will get better

Worst workout app I’ve ever used
I fail to see how this app has 4.7 stars when every recent review is about how buggy the app is. The workouts never track properly, it freezes mid sessions, logs me out all the time and now I can’t enrol to the newest programme. If you were thinking about getting this app I wouldn’t bother as it doesn’t seem my years+ worth of subscription has been put to any use in making the app better for its users. Really disappointed with this as it shows they doesn’t really care about their customers and can’t be bothered to fix a very faulty app.
Love the app but
I love the app and the motivation to be my best self, but the workouts glitch a lot. I end up doing more or less based on the reps it tells me. If I’m doing a superset I don’t have to option to do weights for one exercise and body weight for the other. Which isn’t a huge deal, but I’m trying to track my progress and it gets confusing when the exercise doesn’t require weight but I have to put it because the other exercise used weights.
So buggy
I absolutely love the workouts and guides in this app and the recipes but the app is so buggy it’s really frustrating :( none of my previous exercise history saves so I can’t see what weight I did the week before, the app glitches and delete the reps I put in for my workouts. I previously deleted the app a year ago due to these bugs but came back to it hoping it would have changed but have been disappointed to see it’s the same

Great content - with glitches
I am a big fan of Meggan and the way she sets up workouts. The app has everything you need to start a health journey. I love the recipes, journal, and of course the workouts. My only caveat to the app is many functions seem to not work properly with the workouts themselves. I keep the app and my phone up to date but it seems the timer never works for each individual set, though the workout timer works without fail. I also have problems with the workouts staying on my plan. Will continue using and have been using since the app launched but I would love a few bugs to fix.

Megan!! Get your team to sort this app out it’s horrifically buggy. It’s very disappointing to say but I cancelled my subscription purely because of how un-user friendly it is. Constantly crashing and doesn’t register when doing workouts. Such a shame, as you and the exercise plans are amazing.
Great exercises, buggy app
I think the exercises on the app is really the best feature of the app. Other than that, the app lags a lot, I’m constantly having to refresh it to load it when I work out or delete and reinstall it.
Best app ever!!
I have used Beyond pretty much since it came out, i used to follow Megan's lockdown live workouts and enjoyed them so much when she brought out this app i was thrilled! I've never been someone to stick at the gym and have pretty much used every one in my area, had the memberships, gone for a week and then never gone back. Beyond has given me the motivation to be consistent enough for the last year and half. The results speak for themselves! I love the fact every work out is tailored to suit home or gym workouts, I can just get back from work, chuck my gymwear on and get to it and once I'm done, pop my stuff away and I'm done. It's so quick and easy and has workouts to suit every type of ability. I'll never use any other app and I'm looking forward to using beyond continuously throughout my different life stages! First stop is my wedding eeeek! Thank you so much Megan for creating such a motivating, positive safe space for women to embrace exercise and not be scared of lifting weights! Xxxxx

Love her and her content. Sorry but I hate this app. I don’t understand it and it seems to glitch every time I try to use it which makes me dread working out because I get so frustrated with the app.
Minor Glitches - Love Overall!
If you’re considering downloading the app I highly recommend doing so. It has change my attitude toward working out since I haven’t used weights much during the pandemic. Now I’m back into it feeling so much stronger and looking more toned than ever. The trainer Megan (@meggangrubb) is encouraging and I’ve followed her fantastic guides for years before she created the Beyond app last year. The app has been great aside from the glitches, but it is a newer app so I don’t want to knock everything else that’s been working great. The glitch I experience most is when you tap the buttons they don’t always respond well, specifically the timers or moving workouts/recipes in the weekly schedule. Her husband (@niallkirkland) plays a part in the app too. He comes up with the recipes and explains how to go about making them. It’s called the the Good Bite and it has some delicious recipes for meals and snacks! The protein bites are my personal favorite, but I still have so many more to get to and try!
Lots of bugs
Expected lots of things with this app given the amount of work and dedication Meggan puts into everything but this app was quite disappointing. There is a lot of bugs that need to be fixed. I wouldnt mind a few as everything is a work in progress but this amount was unusable for me. I purchased a 3 month subscription and had to stop using it completely after 3 weeks as it irritated me so much during my workouts.
App is soooo glitchy!!
Love love this app so much! The guides and food elements are brill but the whole app is awful!!! It glitches so much, takes forever to load. If I’m mid-workout and my phone locks for 5 mins, I lose all progress. Please fix this!
I love this app!!
I love this app so much, it’s really help me create a routine and stay motivated!! One thing that could be worth adding is the option to add notes to work outs - e.g could up weight next time or struggled here should do lighter next time - just a thought but this app is amazing!!
App has too tech problems
The app is has many issues. When I first installed and subscribed when the app first came out, it was buggy, but I excused it because it was a new app with continuing development. These issues were too much to deal with, so I took a break from subscribing. I subscribed again a few months later. Only to have the same issues. So I unsubscribed. Now, a few months later from then, I have the same issues. Except they are even worse now. I cannot even access a workout even though I continually try. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but nothing works. Honestly, I want a refund. For paying almost $15 a month this is unacceptable. These exact issue has been happening since I first resubscribed for the third time and I haven’t even been able to access the workouts once. I am frustrated and want a refund. It is such a disappointment since I have been a longtime follower of Meggan, but honestly this app needs to do better and I’m unsubscribing for the third time.
Problems on the app.
I really want to give this app 5 stars because I love it but unfortunately it still has its problems. I understand but it’s frustrating when I go to the gym and try to pull up my workout from a guide and it doesn’t show any workouts in my week as if they all disappeared. If I try to go in to the actual guide and select where I am left off and load a workout out into my week it still doesn’t show up. I even restart my phone and everything and it still does that. Also when I open the app it acts ads if I am signed out and just freezes on the log in screen and wants me to re-subscribe to the app. I just wish for an app that you are paying for monthly didn’t have problems like this. Besides all that, the whole purpose of the app and what is in it is amazing. Hope these problems can be fixed.
So glitchy!
The app was fine if you could actually use it. When I first got it, it was fine(ish), could use most features. I could use the plans even though they would swap every so often for no reason and half my workouts would be erased. I could access the recipes if I waited 10mins for each to load up, but had no “shopping list” and they would just move around in my weekly plan. I loved the workouts that I could access and I’m busy so don’t have loads of time to organise my own workouts, so I kept it for a few months. Recently I haven’t been able to open the app at all just goes black or freezes completely. I have emailed about a couple of these problems but have had no response. If the app wasn’t so glitchy and actually worked it would be perfect, but it’s just not worth paying for when it doesn’t work half the time.

Workout programs are good but the actual app is shocking. Constant glitches. The app freezes all the time and completed workouts just gone. I can track and save a session then the next day everything has disappeared including my PBs. Not great seen as we pay hard earned money for it.
