This calculator is great
STUDENTS: DO NOT USE!
Seriously, just buy the physical calculator. It may cost some money but it will save you time compared to trying to use this app. The time you will spend trying to troubleshoot this calculator emulator is not worth your precious study time, as I have learned today. Also, the troubleshooting didn’t even work. Once I got my hands on a physical BA II Plus, I didn’t have any issues at all. The solutions are correct, and the TVM solver actually clears as it’s supposed to. Oh and before the developer says “did you try this or that?” Yes, the answer is yes. Your app is just not working!
Slow
It mimicked the real calculator fairly well but it’s slow. When you press buttons too fast you skips number. You have to go slow. The UI is not the best. Some people say it doesn’t matter but when you use it for work and calculate many times a day it becomes basically useless.
Incorrect calculations
This worked on my previous phone and loved it. Now downloaded an updated version and the calculations are simply wrong. Try something else until it is fixed.

Please add Modified Duration Feature
The app is quite good and I like using it. The only issue is that in the BOND Worksheet Modified Duration is not available. Would really appreciate it if that could be added.

Most of the time one merely needs a simple calculator. It would be good if you also have this an option in this app.
Problem with IRR Calculation

Not accurate
App is not accurate calculating present and future values. Used side by side with text book examples and always came up wrong.
Great app!
This app and graphics are fantastic! It’s almost perfect, though. I have a suggestion for an easy but significant improvement that would make it more like a real calculator. On my version, the number entry and haptics happen when you press and release the button, which creates a slight delay. From a usability perspective, users expect number entry and haptics to happen immediately upon button press. This small change would make the app more realistic and help me when my brain is trying to figure out a business problem in real time. Thanks again!
Doesn't work well on iPad
it’s all scrunched together on iPad to multitask but visually works well on iPhone. Also I can’t figure out how to make it show more than 5 digits

Too many adds on the free version. Gettings adds in foreign languages as well. Some adds freeze app.

Very functional and useful. Used it when I lost my physical one.
Wrong answers
For some reason the answer is slightly wrong… but would seem correct but be enough off that it would be considered wrong on a test. I knew free was too good to be true! If I am doing something wrong on the simple PV>FV let me know.
Bond function redemption date error
Not able to enter redemption dates while using Bond function in the calculator (2nd + 9). Getting Error 6 on entering the date for RDT.
Doesn’t do certain things
I have 2 other BAII Plus financial calculators, one being physical and the other being a different emulator. This app doesn’t calculate nominal rates of interest properly. Followed the same steps on other calculators and they work, this one comes back as an error. Also had some issues with calculating number of compounding periods.
The clearing function doesn’t work
2nd CLR work doesn’t clear the work.

Couldn’t feed Bond functions - Redemption Date (RDT)
I’ve had a good time with this app and it’s clutter free UI. Recently, I’ve come across bond functions and I tried the same in this calculator. Unfortunately, when I tried to feed the redemption date, it’s not picking the date properly. I’ve tried feeding different dates. Still, the result was same. Could you please look into this issue. Would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
Gets the job done
I team TVM and this app has gotten me out of a pinch several times, good app but overall any complains here are likely user error.
TERRIBLE - DO NOT BUY - WORTHLESS APP
Horrendous, terrible, blasphemous application. Once downloaded, I opened it and threw up. This is the worst app I have ever downloaded from the App Store. None of the buttons work, the calculations are inconsistent, AND my professor laughed when he looked over my shoulder and saw me using this app 🥲. If I can recommend anything, it would be to NEVER download this app, as much as you can avoid it! This app Is a an EMBARRASSMENT to anyone in Finance, Business, or simply SEEKING TO BETTER THEMSELVES! Do NOT buy this application if you are a rational, reasonable, sensibleHUMAN BEING. This app was made for imbeciles, hunters and gatherers, and the rats that live in the sewers of New York City. Do NOT buy this app if you believe you have COMMON SENSE. Good luck. This app works perfectly. I am a full time actuary and I use this app for work every day. It’s a convenient free way to use the BA-II Plus calculator on your phone.
Not great
Numbers do not clear out as they should. Each time I need to use the calculator I have to delete the app and add it back.

This is an amazing calculator. A great 17b emulator for those who love hands-on financial analysis and projections. Note to users: don’t forget negatives and CPT (computer) and don’t confuse this interface with the 12c. Example: Enter the following -1,000,000 PV 0 FV 7 I/Y (interest / year) CPT PMT: computes payment Returns something in the $80,500 range. Divide by 12: -$6715 per mo. Remember to use CPT for the value you seek and remember the negative numbers: loan, debt, payment, withdrawal, etc.
