After 2 Days
I am pleased with the App; although I am not deaf, I struggle with conversations in crowds and/or background noise. This really helps me to interact more easily.
3-day trial that turns into a full-year charge
I downloaded this app just to try it out, but it wouldn’t really let me test it without signing up for a 3-day free trial that automatically converts into a full-year subscription. There wasn’t even a monthly option. Three days is an extremely short trial period, and unfortunately I forgot to cancel in time. I was then charged for an entire year. When I canceled afterward, I found out the subscription simply stays active until next year because the full annual payment had already been taken. I understand that I agreed to the trial terms, but I really dislike this setup. A 3-day trial followed by an automatic one-year charge feels very aggressive, especially when there’s no monthly option. I’m leaving this review so other people know exactly what they’re signing up for. If you decide to try it, set a reminder immediately so you don’t forget to cancel or even better DO NOT get this app.
Sharing Transcripts
Live transcribe Pro allows this DefGuy to once again attend meetings, classes, and enjoy some conversation in some restaurants. Noise suppression and directional pickup could be better. The bullet point transcription Summaries are wonderful. However, there seems no easy way to transfer the transcript and/or bullet point summary from iPhone to email or text. I would gladly pay more for those features. That’s why only 4 stars and not 5. I am a heavy user.
Cuts of sound in my hearing aids
I have Bluetooth linked Phonak hearing aids. When I first got Live Transcribe it worked flawlessly with my aids. Now whenever I turn on Live Transcribe it cuts off the sound in my hearing aids.

Costly but you get what you pay for. Would like more Pro time as meetings are very important.

Very Difficult
Every time the microphone button is pressed, to turn it off you have to shut the entire app down. You’d think there would be a pause button, but no such thing on an iPad. Very difficult.
Very helpful but not exact
I am hearing and visually impaired and used this app for the first time for an important phone call. the transcript wasn’t exact but close enough. Would like a save option. Just a thought. Will use it again. Thanks.
Going downhill
Started using and it was fine when it worked. For some reason it would completely forget who I was despite using the same device. Forcing me to re input my username to find my subscription. Really annoying when I’m stood there with someone waiting to speak with me. Then they removed the monthly subscription moving to annual subs only. Not interested any more, looking for another app. Found BIG TEXT, almost the same and a one off cost of £1.99. Bargain.
Problem with hearing
Hearing volume through the hearing aid drops when transcribing is on. And picking up speech is very poor. Sorry, will keep looking. Update: I had to put my iPhone into speaker mode and turn off my hearing aid. System working.

This Is a Scam App
I paid $79 for this app. It is a clone of a free service. What’s worse, it DOES NOT WORK. Even with the $79 subscription, the app keeps demanding additional money for more time. It is a complete SCAM and Apple should discontinue the IOS version. If possible, I would give it zero stars for a 0 rating.

Too expensive
It looks like Live Transcribe bought out Hearing Helper which was a fantastic app and it was free. Now at a cost of $99 USD per year for Live Transcribe, there are many hearing impaired people on a limited income who won’t be able to afford it.

Live Transcribe has been very helpful in places with more noise like restaurants and public areas
I have been hard of hearing for 30 or so years. In the last few years my hearing has been more challenging especially in noisy places or “clarity” of conversations. Too often hard of hearing is assumed that only volume is needed. I am so thankful for your understanding, if the high quality of accuracy in transcribing and the speed of everything to my screen. Thank you so much! I have shared your service and you might have new customers who didn’t know such a service existed.😊

Just what is one buying?
I used the free one hour that is offered when downloading. It worked amazingly well. There is zero information about what one is actually buying under the link, “Manage Subscriptions”. Lots of different price points from $9.00 per month to a plan that is $1,600.00 per year but no breakdown of what each price point covers. I suggest that the developer clearly identify what they are selling like Patreon does. I’ll revisit in the future.

Lack of sub options
Once the free time is up. Your only options is £9.99 a month or £79.99 per year. Not paying that much. I was interested in the £47.99 per year sub. But no option to choose it.

I thought getting the yearly subscription will have unlimited use but there is a time limit per month. This is absurd and a money grab!!

Hello, I got this for an elder friend who is extremely hard of hearing, and in general it serves her well. However, she reports that she can’t hear well while the transcriber is running. It seems her hearing aid speaker audio is ducked for some reason. I don’t understand why that would be, given that the app output is not audio (no danger of feedback or conflict). I have looked in the settings and have not found a control for this. It’s a thought, app developers!
Too expensive
This app works well and is the best I've ever tried. However over $100 a year for a subscription to use this app has killed it for me. As someone who lost their hearing and job due to a brain tumour I'm on a government pension so why is there no monthly subscription option? It's a year and over $100 or nothing. So I'll be choosing a free app that doesn't work as well as this app. Shame.
Not bad
The basic transcript doesn’t work well and not pick up all the conversation. I like the pro but I use more hours a month than what’s offer. It’s becoming too expensive for me to keep adding more hours that month. The basic not reliable and I pad for a whole year. I maybe will cancel out if I find something better.
Great app
As above, great service. My $5k hearing aids just don’t “cut it” and I will not consider radical surgery. I use your service, along with my “aids”, during most of my conversations with my wife. I have no idea what Live Transcribe is or why it’s on my phone. I am not deaf.
New update
The new update has made it way too sensitive, it is transcribing voice from the TV in the other room. Not sure what this brief pro mode is but maybe that has something to do with it. The app was perfect. I wish you would not of messed with it.
Not happy
Paid a substantial yearly subscription to find this only gets me 5 hours per month! Then I have to make additional purchases? I don’t think so. RIP off.

My favorite paid transcription app!!!!
Love this app! It manages quiet and noisy backgrounds with ease. I love the color coding of different voices and the separation of text. It shows pauses in the conversation or when different speakers join in which is helpful compared to the single block of text other apps give you.

A great app, but I don’t like subscriptions.
I really like this app but the cost of a monthly subscription has put me off using it. I use the free sister app ‘Hearing Helper’ instead. If there was a one-off fee to buy the app like there used to be I’d buy without hesitation as I’m losing my hearing and I have a deaf family member. I can’t justify the cost along with all the other subscription services out there.
Richtige Gespräche sind schlecht transkribiert
Wenn man laut und deutlich spricht sowie auf Anglizismen verzichtet, funktioniert es. Wenn man ein Gespräch aufzeichnen möchte, kommt ein recht sinnloser Wortsalat dabei heraus. Werde es aber bei meiner Großmutter nutzen, die mich nicht mehr so gut versteht. Da verzichte ich eh auf englische Wörter

I have severe hearing loss. I am 80 so I don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. (Speaker identification, translation). But I need this at family gatherings, dr appointments, neighborhood events, Mahjongg, church, book club, meetings. I basically can’t manage without it. I feel so fortunate to live long enough for these life improvement apps. I’m going for subtitling glasses when there are more on the market to choose from. BTW. I have used 3 transcribing apps and yours is perfect for me. I just jumped to 50 hours, I’ll see how that works! Thank you for getting me back into things.

Mostly excellent
Hi You have helped enormously with doctors appointments for my very deaf 91 year old relative. It made us smile when her TAVi procedure became teddy. In a meeting though we had poor success her phone managed to transcribe well with a different app but the iPad couldn’t pick up the speech with live transcribe , not sure why.

Can't handle the Australian accent well. Fails so often on me it's easier to just type. Limited output options make it not very useful for anything beyond subtitling me. Which isn't very useful as I find it buggers up with my accent on the reg. Got auto subscribed to a year long subscription while testing the app. Couldn't get refund our of anyone apple/devs even with less than 15 minutes of use kind of sucked to get shanked $90 when I could least afford it.
Pain to Purchase
I cannot really judge whether this app works. I tried to invoke the “free trial” but you have to subscribe for a year (£80). It claims to offer a 3 day trial, but is actually at most 48 hours ( before you have to cancel the subscription). Regardless, I could not get the subscription to work, and so no “free trial”, so I have deleted the App.

The app is amazing. It’s changed my life. The customer service is absolutely horrible. The frustration trying to deal with these people takes away from how good the app works. Sadly it’s time to look for a different app
