Nav Now Works!!!
I’m updating my review after the devs said they pushed a fix. I was able to pair via Bluetooth the first time without issue to my Trident! And Navigation works as advertised. It’s basic, but honestly all I need for riding. Big thanks and appreciation for making this app and my bike’s connectivity usable!
Can’t connect to my brand new bike.
Initial setup has been a nightmare. Following instructions to the letter and I can’t even connect to my brand new bike’s bluetooth on a new iPhone. Feel cheated I cannot utilize this BASIC function that was sold to me at the dealer.
Navigation has a major flaw
I’ve used this app for navigation since I bought my Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro in 2022. It has generally worked well, although it has a number of annoyances and things that could be improved a lot (as mentioned in many other reviews). I won’t go into those here, but I want to point out what seems to be a major bug. (And it seems to be new, introduced sometime within the last two years.) The app needs an internet connection to create a route, but once programmed in, it does not need an internet connection to navigate. When stopping the bike to get gas or whatever, the app connects back up to the bike and navigation resumes within a minute or so. That is all just fine. But the behavior that has changed is that it now requires an internet connection to resume the route after stopping and restarting the bike. This is HORRIBLE behavior! When on a backcountry route with no internet connectivity, if you stop the bike for any reason, you are left with no navigation until you find someplace where you can connect to the internet. (The GPS tray on the bike’s display screen just says “No Destination”.) WHY DOES THE APP NEED AN INTERNET CONNECTION TO RESUME A ROUTE THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PROGRAMMED IN??? I believe this behavior is new. I used the app on a 5,000 mile trip in a lot of remote areas two years ago, and I don’t remember this ever happening. On a 1,500 mile trip I just returned from, I ran into this problem constantly! I would give this app a 4-star rating, but because of this problem I’m only giving it 2 stars. (And that’s being generous.) Developers, please respond to this and tell me why an internet connection is required to resume a route. (Better yet, fix the problem!)
No nav
App needs a version update . Can’t use nav function. iPhone 16 pro and 2024 tiger 900 gt Aragon
Trident 660 Tribute Edition! Danke fürs Umsetzen.
Macht, was sie soll
Just Doesn’t Work
This app just doesn’t work. Once I add my VIN, it finds & recognizes my bike. After I select the instrument cluster that matches my bike (or any, I’ve tried them all) it says: “Can't add bike! Your device's Bluetooth name exceeds the maximum limit of 22 characters (including spaces). Please shorten the Bluetooth name below this limit before starting the connection process.” There are no instructions to do this and no help links.
No new features in 3 years
Summer 2025 update: No new features as far as I can see since my last review 3 years ago. Still can’t delete Stored Rides. Still can’t save anything to Favorites list. Still can’t save a route directly from map. All I see is updates for newer IOS versions and newer bike models. This is unacceptable from a brand like Triumph! You’re losing market share due to this lame app. Others are now offering full map displays and rich feature sets. C’mon Triumph, get with it! Sept 2022 v1.2.3 update: Stored Rides has a Favorites, but there doesn’t seem any way to save a fav. When saving a ride it automatically goes to Stored. When navigating, ETA is the ETA of the next turn, not the ETA of the route. If bike time is set to 12 Hr display and ETA is after noon, ETA incorrectly shows as AM, but will show correctly if time display is set to 24 Hr clock. As others noted, bad names for hiway exit ramps is really annoying and dangerous. Nav also uses out of date street names, like years out of date! These incorrect Nav instructions are inexcusable if Google Maps are under the covers. August: Yay!! Finally some stellar updates! Being able to import GPX routes and store them for future use is a total game changer for this app. Ability to save completed free ride or nav ride is awesome as well. Now we just need to be able to create a route on nav screen and save it for future use.
Underwhelmed
How about the ability to have a saved location such as “home”? Seems kinda ridiculous that such an obvious feature is missing
Has never worked
Riding a 2025 Tiger 900 Rally Pro. I tried to get this app to work when the bike was new. I try again each time the app is updated but still no luck. The app will not connect to the bike. Worthless.
Extremely Limited
Just purchased a trident 660. I was excited about the interface with my phone. Thinking I could use my phone’s map via Bluetooth and not have to worry about buying an expensive phone holder. However, that’s not the case. This app is very limited and seems like they can unlock features to more coincide with interfaces with cars. Would be more apt if I could open Google maps on my own or Apple Maps and use data from there on the gauge. I do like how it keeps track of the mileage and such with my bike, but that also seems a little limited. Getting Bluetooth to connect is very challenging. It will connect through the app on the phone quickly, but the My Triumph app will fail many times unless you’re extremely careful on your steps. Hopefully updates will come.
Broken app
I can’t even log in after registering. Every time I submit the login form I get a message that says “registration done, please login.”
Doesn’t seem to understand freeways, gives misleading directions. But you can adapt.
The app tells you to take exits onto the freeway that you are already on. This is confusing and potentially dangerous. For example, while heading north o. I-5, the app says In one mile take the ramp on the right onto I-5.” But, I’m ON I-5, and the ramp is the exit is to Swift Ave (for example.). The direction (take the ramp on the right) is accurate, and so is the distance. But it is still confusing. I have reproduced this error on multiple highways in different locations, several times. The app also has trouble telling whether you’re in an elevated highway or the surface streets below. I have had it give several directions that make no sense, but appear to refer to the streets I’m traveling over. If you know these things, the directions are usable. But it’s still probe to error, which on a motorcycle in traffic can be hazardous or deadly. It’s pretty unacceptable that this has gone un-fixed.
POS App
Will not recognize bike. Probably written by the same engineers that cant even get the speedometer accurate on a 2025 Triumph what a joke
Navigation does not work.
Navigation does not work. Constantly says no bike paired and wants to be reconfigured. Audio works fine and is useful but I just use google maps and a quad lock for turn by turn…
Was, wann, wie ect…
Maps Don’t Work
I like others from different forums have commented the phones successfully to the bike so that music and intercom functionality works; but maps screen which is supremely important for a sport touring type of bike, does not work. If having maps functionality is important to you on the bike natively so that your camera phone isn’t broken my phone mounts, DO NOT BUY a Triumph. This has been an ongoing issue for many owners for years and Triumph still hasn’t provided a fix to the maps screen / connectivity.
Needs improvement of audio/connection quality
App works well and could be useful for riders. However, please fix the audio quality for phone calls and music. Music play back through the bike is ok, but the audio sometimes skips. Phone call audio quality also does the same and audio breaks up. This is not related to phone service, as music and phone calls work flawlessly when it is just my phone connected to my Cardo packtalk directly and not through the bike. I have just defaulted to using my phone and cardo only most of the times due to horrible audio or connection quality when connecting through my bike.
IOS 16
Wann?
Pairing
Never been able to pair the navigation - dealership also at a loss & say they have lots of reported issues.
Schade
Outdated, Useless App for Such Wonderful Machines
It’s disappointing how underwhelming the “My Triumph” app is, especially considering the level of engineering and performance Triumph motorcycles are known for. This app feels completely outdated and borderline useless. • No IMU Data Access: For bikes equipped with advanced IMU systems, it’s frustrating that the app doesn’t provide access to this crucial data. What’s the point of having cutting-edge tech on the bike if the app can’t display it? After each ride the BMWs and Ducatis will boast about the ride analytics and we have nothing. • Data Doesn’t Refresh: Even when connected to the bike, the app fails to refresh live data. It feels like it’s stuck in the past ride and never syncs up properly. • No Real Use Cases: Other than basic info, there’s really no meaningful functionality. No ride analytics, no service logs integration, no performance metrics — nothing that justifies installing or using it. Triumph riders deserve much better. This app doesn’t reflect the spirit or innovation of the motorcycles it claims to support.
Great Bike; Bad App
I’m a dealer in Woodstock, IL and I just bought a 2024 Tiger 900 GT Pro. I was stoked to finally buy the apex of technology from the brand that I love and help people acquire everyday. I’ve always had problems pairing iPhones over the years with this app, and some phone models have worked better than others. In my experience with my dash, I have had to uninstall the app several times, forget the devices on both my phone and the Tiger, and it still doesn’t pair properly. When it finally did, the only controls I had were phone calls and music volume. I believe the system recognizes the bike itself as a speaker and will cut over unless you manually pair back to your headset. I have a Cardo Packtalk Edge and cannot get “Headset 1” to pair no matter how many attempts or alternative methods used. The navigation feature would be the coolest part IF it ever worked. The app will not pair despite multiple attempts and setting changes in my phone. I feel like Triumph owes the consumer the option for Apple CarPlay with as much nonsense and headaches the app provides.
Bluetooth won’t pair
It’s 2025 a $20,000 bike and Bluetooth pairing is the problem What??? Come on triumph
