Please fix Mac app issus
This is one of the best apps and I use it every single day. However, there is an issue on Mac app which needs fixing. The issue is I cannot pause music or go to next station and have to wait more than a minute for buttons to function. I hope you can fix it. Thank you.
Immer noch keine Anpassung an iOS 26
Der Entwickler hat auf Mastodon groß gepostet über das Update mit Liquid Glass. Jetzt kommt bald iOS 27 und die App hat das iOS-26-Update immer noch nicht bekommen.
Good app overall
I like this app. I'm assuming Shazam would show the name and artwork of the playing track if it worked? For some reason tapping on the Shazam button doesn't do anything for me. It would be nice if there was some info or instructions in the Help documentation about this Shazam feature that's not working for me.
Love this app
No ads, clean interface, good range of stations and you can add your own. Plus it sync across devices.
Filtered content
Some countries not avialible
Excellent app - just one flaw
I have been using this app for quite a few months now, and it is the only app I know of that plays shoutcast streams with a decent Apple CarPlay interface. The one major flaw with this app is that if you are using Apple CarPlay to play music with Broadcasts and you stop it so that you can either make a phone call or use Siri, there is really bad reverb when Broadcasts starts playing again. Please fix this.
Good app but CarPlay has too many bugs
Good app but CarPlay has too many bugs. Also developer did not reply to my emails reporting the bugs. Moved over to Vradio now they support CarPlay
CarPlay no longer works in background
It’s a great app, although recently I can’t have it on in the background on CarPlay. That’s kind of a big deal. I rarely had the app open before, I’d have it on behind sat nav or the dashboard. Please fix this.
10,000% better than TuneIn
Straightforward and functional, like a radio.
It’s ok
Pretty good but I should be able to see the playlist of songs that are playing. Other apps do that.
Streaming radio
Apple Music (along with its many other new unwanted ‘features’) now doesn’t let you stop and start audio streams with the spacebar nor show you a good indication of the in-app volume level. Broadcasts does so it’s my new background radio listening app. So far, seems straightforward and looks and acts familiar. Unfortunately (just like the new Apple Music), it doesn’t show you the current track playing within the stream. Still looking for an app with that feature as well.
Broadcasts:
It is really hard to find stations on this app. How do you find the stations? Thanks!
Ettore
I have just bought this app and paid for it and yet every time I search for a radio station, it asks for a preview. How do you remove the preview and just press play this app is a good app, but it says design with flaws in it please fix the problem as I am a blind person rather spend £5 on your app. I have just bought this app and paid for it and yet every time I search for a radio station, it asks for a preview. Does exactly what it says.
Simple app that does one thing and does it well. Adding new streams is easy, and it plays them super duper reliably. Greatly appreciate that it doesn’t try to upsell features that I don’t need, and I ESPECIALLY appreciate that it doesn’t try to push AI to my face. Great app; thank you!
Notable omissions
Some countries are missing for no apparent reason
Nice for DIYers.
Needs search and global directory, but is otherwise reliable and fairly priced.🤗
Good selection and sound but NOT working and $9.99
The stations are good but the only way to play one is to use search each time. Controls don’t work from the Collection. Free version is limited to 5 stations in the collections only.
Almost great app
Does what it advertises well. What it really needs is better metadata support. Requiring a manual press of a button and an open microphone is difficult. This means it does not work for headphone listening. It also does not work with CarPlay for metadata. Ideally it would just parse the information it already displays regarding song name and artist to grab metadata automatically.
The Best
This is the best app of its kind. Get it; pay the reasonable one time fee to unlock everything and enjoy great music! Update- There a recurring CarPlay issue with this otherwise excellent app: after a phone call or navigation voice announcement, Broadcasts comes back on with scrambled audio. A fix for this is necessary. Thanks!!
Simple and a bit onerous
After so many positive reviews, I tried Broadcasts. Very disappointed. It does not list stations by genre. When searching for a specific kind of music, for instance Ambient, I don't care what country it originates from. I just want the content. There might be times when it's nice to peruse stations from a certain country, but I think most folks are searching for a cerain kind of music. Broadcasts does have a fairly decent database of stations but surely, there have to more than this. Finally, Broadcasts interface isn't the most intuitive. With a bit of time, one can figure out how to use it.
Awesome Product!!
This is the true meaning of a reliable radio broadcaster, simply AMAZING!!
Needs improvements
Certain streams play fine on the device, but go silent when I send them to AirPlay. The same stream URLs work correctly from Safari.
Excellent App
MacOS 12, what a shame, I guess no more updates
Seems Legit!
Read about this app while searching Reddit for TuneIn Radio alternatives... Working great for me so far... It is REALLY ad free... The basic (unpaid) version has a 5 saved station limit... That works out fine for me since I have 4 different genres of heavy metal and 1 hardbass channel on my faves list!
No Russian radio
Russian radio was removed for political reasons, but it hurts users nonetheless.
Multi room audio solution!
Trying to connect to multi-room audio was a pain and broadcast made it simple
Fix this app
When connected to Apple car play and receive a phone call the app drones out after the call ends, I also find it interferes when you receive a phone call, as in the radio keeps playing over your phone call. PLEASE FIX! Otherwise a great app but won’t be able to use it for much longer if issues aren’t fixed 🥲
Nice but glitchy
Love the idea and look of the app - would love to give it 5 stars but very glitchy - crashes often especially on iPad. Hopefully gets better - then I would be happy to give 5 stars and pay for full version.
Exactly What You Seek
I have spent years searching for an app that does online streaming this well. Broadcasts is similar to Foobar for iPhones. It has a simple and fully customizable interface that is extremely rare in any App Store. As a bonus, it supports CarPlay. The best money I have ever spent for a software. Could not be more highly recommended.
Stopped Working - no obvious reason.
It used to be a good app and worked well. I paid for the premium version. It has now inexplicably stopped syncing between my iphone and Apple TV. I have tried everything I can think of - no good. No way to contact app developer. My money is gone!
Excellent.
Excellent app and very competitively priced. Just wish I could sort the iCloud sync issue. Have reached out to developer.
Syncing doesn’t work now.
Syncing stopped working. Nothing happens when I click the iCloud sync button. It just says ‘local only’.
Issues with Shortcuts and automations
Actually I like the design and overall simplicity a lot. I was already about to switch from Receiver to Broadcasts as playing streams is in fact all I need from these types of Apps. Unfortunately even if you CAN use Broadcasts with shortcuts or within automations, it just doesn‘t work reliably as streams won‘t start playing as expected. Gotta stick with Receiver for now but I‘ll be back to check for reliability improvements once in a while..
Great app
Does it exactly what I would like, awesome to have multi-platform support including Apple TV. I just wish my old college radio station would get on board now
how do I use it?
How do I get a non-Irish station? All I see is a half dozen Irish ones?
great!
nice radio app! thanks for all the work and support! i particularly appreciate the ability to manually add station urls. i would suggest adding an option to lower buffering for those on low latency connections. this may help with the delay when changing stations.
App is begging for reviews
It is a good radio streaming app with some UI flaws. Begging for reviews must be discouraged.
Great app but..
It doesn't follow the macos standard to close the window without closing the app. Can this be fixed, please?
Very Straight Forward and Does What I Need
I highly recommend it. My main use case is listening to my own private stations, but it does that flawlessly. It even supports .hls format and has the option to purchase it as a one time fee. That alone makes it the only one I will even consider.
Useless unless you’re Irish
Not incentivised to use this app if I can’t even add stations I like.
Very close to being great
Apple Music and iTunes are terrible at managing internet radio streaming. Thankfully, the Broadcasts app steps into that gap and mostly does what Apple Music refuses to do with internet streaming. I happily purchased the premium version of Broadcasts as soon as I discovered it. However, I found a big problem when using Broadcasts [version 3.4.7 (373)] on macOS. When using Broadcasts on macOS, the primary volume slider in Broadcasts becomes non-functional when internet radio is streamed to any Airplay speaker. Separately, I would love to have a “remote” function that would allow the macOS installation of Broadcasts to be controlled via iPhone. Thanks and keep up the great work!
In-App Purchase for non-Irish Stations
This looks like a really good app. However, it doesn't make it clear that to listen to non-Irish radio stations you need to purchase it. Also, you have to know which country a radio station is in before you can find it. I listen to some radio stations and have no idea where they are based!
On it's way
A simple interface that gets the job done. The desktop version is still pretty rough and doesn't seem to have all the features enabled that the mobile does(eg: Move a preset to a collection). But looks like it's actively being developed and even this rough version does the job efficiently. Love that it's a universal app for all devices.
Does the job.
A simple app that does what I want at a reasonable price. What’s not to like?
Please give me my money back!!!
This is the WORST piece of junk I have ever used! Do you know how you search/add for a new station? You can’t! What you have to do is go to the website of the radio station you want and try to find the URL for the station’s feed then manually copy that into a “new station” dialog! REALLY? By the way, there’s no station artwork either, god knows how you get it! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Great app
Simple, intuitive, free
Apple Watch dont work
Nice App - but Apple Watch dont work - please fix it . Thank you
Internet radio on your Mac but with restrictions
I like the idea, but the app has been deliberately hamstrung by not being allowed to add any other stations.
