Great layout / horrible user experience
I signed up for 7 day trial -only got one day. I tried subscribing but kept getting error “offer not available” for every subscription choice. Emailed support multiple times but never received a response. Not worth the hassle -will find a different yoga app with a vetting & better user experience
Great app, needs improvement though.
Long-time daily user for years now. Some things need improvement; however, For me, the most important thing is that the camera angles for poses must differ from what you've provided. You've got to be showing the poses from angles that make sense, particularly in the Beginner program. On Day 5, the Crow pose day, you start with a Tree pose, only showing the person from the side so we can't see what he's doing with his leg, and the very next pose only shows him from the waist up, so we can't at any time see his leg position. Why you would do this is utterly baffling. This sort of thing occurs at other points throughout the Beginner program as well. Also, starting the very first course of the Beginner program - Day 1 - with palm-lifted pushups is nuts; that should be later down the line. If you want to discourage new users, that's how to do it. Overall, using the app has been a great experience, and near-daily use for the past two-plus years has been transformational. Please consider updating the camera angles for clear demonstrations of the poses, consider showing and describing modifications, and keep up the excellent work.

App crashes regularly and Home Screen stays empty.
Wonderfull app, if only….
The app is the best yoga app out there, however it is a shame that it does not support the iPad format yet. Once this is adapted, this app is perfect.
Great for the older athletes
Getting to an age where stretching and recovery are becoming more routine then lifting. This app is a perfect mix of strength and recovery. If you are an older athlete I highly recommend this app. I really enjoy the minimalist videos with the perfect narration through the entire routine. Easy to navigate and it has a great bank of yoga strength and recovery routines. The cost might be steep for some however I look at it as a membership to a yoga studio and these instructors should be paid for the effort they put into this app.
SCAM hard to cancel subscription
I always bought and canceled my subscription at the same time so in the next year if I think it’s useful I buy another year. Yet I still got auto subscription and money deducted. I never received reminder email about oncoming bill as they claimed. I reached out to the customer service, and they requested evidence about the cancellation, the problem is you won’t get email when cancel either. The cherry on top of the cake is that their courses are so bad as well and not being updated once during the last year. AVOID THIS APP!!!
Great trainers plus courses- missing stream to TV plus IPad support
Very good courses and trainers really nice to look at I do miss stream to TV (not airplay) and/ or at least iPad support for bigger display
More sport than yoga, very small on iPad
For me this is far to fast and rather sport than mindful yoga. On iPad same size as on iphone - fairly small screen. Also interesting, that all the very good evaluations are 4 years and older ….
Leider keine echte iPad-Kompatibilität
Ich finde die App gut. Da ich sie aber im wesentlichen Zuhause und dann auf dem iPad nutze, ist es etwas hinderlich, dass es keine echte iPad-Kompatibilität gibt. Also Bildformate und Auflösung passt nicht. Wenn das und die anderen Kritikpunkte aus anderen Rezessionen verbessert ist, gibts auch 5 Sterne.
Great or best yoga app
There commentary along with video is really great, all the exercises, videos really in depth. I like the 5 days program covers the entire body strengthening and flexibility, mobility. Also single work out great as well if you want to focus on particular part of the body.
6 month update
I started this program to help relieve some back pain. This program only aggravated it even more. There is no support and if they do respond they treat you like a number and don’t even listen to your concerns. This program will not teach you proper form and is only geared towards young and advanced yogis. I stoped using the skill yoga app and looked for other apps. If you are in pain and need help! stop using this app. I would suggest “Man flow yoga” it is for everyone no matter you age.

Home does not load
Recently home tab stopped working. It just shows the loading, never finish loading. Other tabs work fine.

This is worth every minute
Honestly, I never was able to get into mediation or yoga until I got this app. They hold your hand all the way through, with practice and time you get better and the lifestyle has changed my life. I can see the beauty in the madness due to yoga and meditation techniques to help me find mental clarity. I have developed a morning and nighttime routine incorporating these habits. If you’re looking for an app that works and adds pretty often(I’ve done so many I wish they added more!) okay I need to go meditate. Hope this guides you in your new journey!
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFO
I signed up during the pandemic and thought the app was fine. Then in 2023 the auto-renewal came in and I went online and canceled. You can’t cancel in the app, you have to cancel online. However, you can pay in the app, which so weird. Then my bank tells me that Skill Yoga charged me multiple times and I told them to cancel. It got so bad that I had to get a new card and cancel my old one. A couple of weeks later they managed to get a hold on my new card info. I’m reporting this app to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for their fraudulent business practices. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT NUMBER OR EMAIL ON THE WEBSITE OR APP. They said you can reach out, but there is no one I can talk to. AVOID AT ALL COST
The content is great, the app needs work.
Happy with it all, will probably unsubscribe as £70 is too much to pay for a year. The £40 Im happy with. App doesn't work sideways on iPad Pro. Having it on both devices but my account doesn’t sync, one day I’ll do it on my phone the other on iPad yet they don’t talk to each other to keep progress and stats etc.
Expensive
It’s one of those apps where you have to sign up for a bunch of stuff before they tell you it’s $90 a year or $17 a month. Don’t know why apps can’t just be upfront about the price.
Won’t be paying for it
This app has a nice design, very clean and user friendly. However, the videos and routines on the app feel very uncoordinated and unpolished. The Audio in the videos doesn’t seem to sync up and match the person demonstrating most of the time which makes it hard to follow along for beginners. Adding to that a lot of the poses/movements in the routines are inconsistent asking you to hold one side for 5 breaths and then only holding it for 5 seconds on the other. The out of sync audio and the inconsistent counting/timing make for some very inconsistent yoga sessions... while I really liked the design of the app and liked the idea behind skill yoga, I won’t be paying beyond the trial.

Well worth your time and money
SCAM hard to stop auto subscription
The subscription is not in apple, you are automatically subscribed for a year subscription every year. You can not use the app to cancel the subscription. It’s dirty, there is no technical reason for that. Also, if you are charged by accident because you forget to go to a web browser and cancel your subscription. They will not care and will not give you a refund.
LOVE the app, Missing something…
First of all, I love the app. I love the variety of programs and the simple and straightforward shooting style. Out of all the yoga apps I looked into, this is the one that I decided to subscribe to (and I’m glad I did). One feature the app is missing, for subscribers, is a plan. You have “programs,” but the most videos in a program is 7 (from what I’ve seen so far). That’s great, but what do I do after week 1? What’s my next step? I can browse the library, but I think for most people, they need the next step ready to go before their current plan dries up. Should I repeat the same program? Should I try a new one? For me, that uncertainty causes me to lose motivation. The biggest way I stay motivated for working out is having a plan and staying consistent with that plan. What I would love to see is some sort of AI looking at my goals, feedback from workouts, etc., and telling me what my monthly schedule is, so that I know, “Okay, I have four yoga workouts planned for this week, and I can see what they are, and I even know what I’m doing next week, and the week after, and the week after.” Something that takes the great workouts you’ve already developed and maps them to my schedule, and continuously keeps them coming. Other than that, I think the app is great overall and I’m a happy customer!
Willkürliche Preise
Erstmals muss ich zugeben, dass mich die App bereits seit zwei Jahren begleitet und ich bis zuletzt diese gern benutzt habe. Ich habe bisher für ein Premium Abo ungefähr 50€ bezahlt… In diesen zwei Jahren wurde nur ein einziges Programm hinzugefügt. Nun ist mein Abo abgelaufen und ich soll 100€ für Premium bezahlen? Weswegen die Preissteigerung? Ich mache hier keine Werbung für eine App aber - es gibt eine die mir nicht nur Yoga sondern HIIT, Kickboxen, Core, Krafttraining usw. anbietet und das alles für 20€ im Jahr mehr und in besser Qualität. Ich verstehe natürlich, dass ich euer App für die beste haltet, aber das bedeutet nicht dass ihr unrealistische Preise verlangen müsst.
Great App but...
Love the app! Great layout even better sessions! But does not have iPad adaptability unfortunately. The app itself is also subscription based and a bit pricey. Would much prefer have a option to subscribe or watch adds to unlock the to unlock sessions. Even if it was a two minute add at the begging of each session.
Feels like a personal trainer @ home
This by far the best, personalized yoga app there is. Wicked Awesome. Feels like one on one instruction with the advice they give you after you rate a yoga workout series.
This app is a scam and total waste of money
They make it purposefully convoluted to be able to cancel your subscription. They must be a struggling business and users are fleeing as they will not issue a refunds for accidental renewals unlike most other apps. There’s no transparency. When I asked for a refund, they say “sorry you feel this way” instead of working with the customer. They have all the data on you, too by the way, so buyer beware.
Great app, but a few creases that could be ironed out
As someone who is new to yoga, I’ve found this very helpful and an enjoyable way to get used to building flexibility and strength. You are encouraged to go at a pace that is right for you and I’ve been able to do things I never thought I could! I’ve enjoyed it so much that I will be resubscribing! However there are a few things that could make the app even better: 1. Why are all the instructors men? What is this? Broga? 2. Sometimes the narrator gets things wrong. Sometimes they’ll say “left” when the mean “right”, sometimes they’ll say “one more round” and then you end up doing two more rounds, sometimes they’ll be instructing you through some reps and half way through give a big pause, then go through the rest of the reps really fast in a way that is too hard to keep up. 3. The early videos are crap and they should just be deleted/remade 4. It would be good if there were more video examples of particular exercises/holds in the routines so you can see what you will be doing before you start 5. If you’re halfway through a programme, you can’t skip a session if it’s too hard. For example, my balance isn’t great, and the HIT leg class I cannot do at all even with the easier options despite having strong legs as a runner. I hope you this feedback can be taken on board as it will make the app perfect!
Inhalt top, Abopreis/Rabatt frech
Die App sieht super aus und auch der Inhalt ist top. Nach nur einer Einheit habe ich einen 45% Rabatt for das Jahresabo angeboten bekommen. Dies habe ich abgelehnt, da ich noch ein zweites Workout ausprobieren wollte. Diese Entscheidung würde mich nun etwa 50€ mehr kosten, da mir der Rabatt natürlich nicht mehr angezeigt wird. Kunde wird für dumm verkauft. Schlau gemacht vom SkillYoga-Team. Ein Grund, mir kein Abo zuzulegen.
Excellent course
Highly recommend for people who have no time to go to a yoga class, but still love yoga and want to learn yoga and stay fit but on their own time and in the privacy of their own home. It is a very organized course.
Not for beginners
They claim it’s great for beginners they start off overly challenging racing thru the routine as if ppl been doing it for years not the best routine for beginners
Keeps on missing
Another review and again, four stars only (going on towards three). I like the app - it’s pretty and well set up. That is for the first months. Then the issues start - not enough programmes, progression engine full of bugs (it keeps on recommending the same programme or telling me it is time to go for up and suggests the beginner programme) and completed sessions don’t save. It was better before the update. And again, this is really not worth the money if things keep on tripping like that and with such a limited workout library. More and more annoyed and going back to other yoga apps I used to use, just to get variety...
Please change your copy about spirit animals
Love this app, it’s such a sleek way to practice yoga. However your notifications often contain copy referring to spirit animals. “Want to meet your spirit animal? Sorry, it ran loose.” Perhaps consider copy that doesn’t make light of cultural traditions. At best it’s ignorant and at worst it’s cultural appropriation or new age homogenization of traditions. I personally do not have a stake in this and do not intend to speak for cultures that reference “spirit animals” but I think you can do better.

Very poor customer service / fraudsters
They charged me twice, and still not able to access for 3 months now. Neither they want to refund me the money nor provide access. Big frauds. Updated 5/2 I provided the information, but it took you guys 2 months to respond in the first place. I’m still waiting for refund for 2 months I did not have access. Poor customer services
It’s a lot of fun
Ok right off the bat this app is pretty great, fairly good price when all said and done, good length workouts so you can fit in a routine in most days and the quality is high always feel good after a workout. A couple things to me that might be a sticking point to others, some routines and videos can feel like they go a little fast so just be prepared that you might miss a set of movements but hey it’s a video so just pause it complete the movement in your own time and go on. Also even the beginner stuff seems to build a lot of yoga specific strength so just a heads up if you’re fairly new it gets a lil sweaty! Overall I’m really enjoying it and the range of videos and more advanced content seems really in depth
No different from youtube
Without the premium subscription there’s literally no difference between this app and youtube videos, so if you dont want to pay $40/3 months better check something else
Simple, elegant, challenging
This app is truly a breath of fresh air. It’s focused, leaves out all the contrived fluff often associated with yoga, breath work, meditation. Be ready though. It’s not kidding when it says it’s for athletes. Even the beginner material is challenging if this is your first foray into Yoga or are just generally starting with a weaker core and limbs. However, I still HIGHLY recommend for any level (total rookie myself) because at no point does my weakness feel discouraging. The detached and modest nature of every exercise—from the narration to the athletes’ attire and background etc—provides a detached and stoic experience that lets you focus on what you’re feeling and how to improve… …and less on how obviously wicked strong the demonstrators are. The pose coach is pretty cool too…

Great app!
Very easy to use and select a workout that’s tailored to specific muscle groups. Would love if they could personalize the app a little bit more (to see total workouts completed, # of times a workout has been done and progress reports on specific workouts and modules). & perhaps add some forums for users to discuss their experiences and tips on how to maximize the lifestyle (diet/sleep/muscle recovery/preparation) Otherwise I’m loving it so far and I look forward to the workouts every day. Was expecting some more advanced features like recording my sessions to analyze correct or wrong body positions.
Visibly Stronger and much more Flexible
I have been using the app constantly since April of 2020. This now how I begin my day each morning. At 63 years old I was skeptical never having done any form of yoga before but I found the programs clear and easy to follow. At 67 now I have never been in such great shape in both body and mind. I highly recommend the app. It’s never too late to learn something new.
Unreliable
I would hope with an app with such a steep cost, (discounted to $42.../first year) you would get some level of reliability with the app. I used this app every for 2 weeks without issue. Now, I cannot load any videos or browse content. Just loading screens. I signed out and when I try to sign back in apparent I don’t have an account. If this was a free app, no sweat, it happens. But seriously if you are going to charge this much $$$, this is insanely unacceptable. Will probably go out of my way to recommend ppl do not get suckered into this like I did.
Progress issue
I am thoroughly enjoying using the skill yoga app and classes and finding them extremely informative and easy to follow, I would recommend this to any fellow athlete or even a beginner in fitness. However the issue I have with the app is that when I repeat a program I have completed before it no longer records my last session and wants me to begin at session 1 even if I’m on day 3 or 4.
