Best collection/scanner
Really good at scanning cards and keeping track of your collection. I refuse to use any other card app!
Scanner is Fixed
You have the scan the card by lining up two boxes perfectly. It has to be at a certain height. Kinda annoying if you’re using your card scanner box, it won’t work. You can’t scan the card because your phone has to be 2 inches from the card. If I have to manually hold the card and my phone, the app isn’t really designed for streamlined methods, I would just rather manually type it in and search that way. Rendering the scanner useless.
Really good
I’m really loving the functions of the app but I can’t get my avatar the last airbender tokens to scan in and I can’t find them on the manual entry, are there cards not processed in yet? Specifically: Ally T 4, 5, 7, 8; soldier T 2, and Spirit T 3. Help would be appreciated please and thank you.
Scanner is troublesome
The scanner has a huge problem with scanning cards with a lot of black in them. Seems to just fail randomly when scanning cards. You can line the thing up perfectly, clearly able to see all the text and it won’t scan. Go with manabox, you’ll be much happier.
Seems great for merchants but major UI and QOL missing for players
The scanner is close to amazing but very inconsistent. For example I can sometimes go through 15 cards of the same set in 30 seconds. But then it'll get completely stuck on one card and I’m spending 30 seconds trying from every angle distance and lighting to get the scanner to see it. Then it'll pick up just the corner of another card and somehow telepathically know what it is. Then it'll give me an entirely wrong card other times. Its overall worth using, if it takes longer than 5 seconds just set it aside and type it in later. (Yes databases all up to date) My biggest disappointment with the app is it feels like it is built for a merchant not a casual player. Extremely simple and intuitive things being overlooked has me scratching my head. I was hoping for a digital folder where I can easily flip through cards and work on decks from what I have in my collection. But there is no way to build decks out of your inventory. Or vice versa. You have to scan cards once for your inventory and scan them again to be in a deck. The two features are completely independent with no synchronization between them. The best you can do to work around this is ignore the deck building feature entirely and only have lists of scanned cards instead. That way you can look through what you have and send it over. Which would be okayish, but that will dismantle any permanent organization you would assume to get from something digital. Also major QOL: There are 3 ways to view your cards. A grid, condensed list, and an expanded list that shows prices. Why is it that if I want to bulk select cards from a condensed list I have to tap twice. Once to expand each entry and then again in order to select it? All just to show me the price ranges of a less than 25cent card? If I wanted to view them that way I would've clicked the button to have them all expanded in the first place. And I don't sell cards. I do not care or need to be reminded that this card is $.08 and this one is $.25 If it was worth anything I would know already. I bought it. It would be way more helpful to be able to customize what is displayed. Either relevant card information or prices. And better yet to not auto expand making it take more than twice as long than is necessary when you are trying to quickly sort from a list. There could just be a button on the entries to expand it if you wanted a reminder instead.

This App WAS Phenomenal! They moved everything to Sorted, which is horrible! I moved my collection to Mana Box which is superior!
Great scanner good to mediocre card values
So for this app the scanner is second to none. It hits the card every time (you still gotta make sure it’s the right series and number). The only issue I have is the card values. It will say a card that is over 50 cents is 0 cents and other price issues like that. Had a 3 dollar card on TCG listed as worth one penny on here. If they could sync the scanner and cards with TCG’s actual prices this would be an unstoppable app. Or if Dragon Shield got with TCG to allow TCG to utilize this scanner in their app then it would be amazing.
Meh
They fixed the problem where you can’t enter new cards. We pay good money for this app, the updates shouldn’t break it! List of remaining problems: Bulk scanner can’t handle black cards. Expect to use the pro scanner separately. Bulk scanner auto corrects the first entry of a card in the database, resulting in the wrong artwork most of the time. Database of cards often lags a few weeks behind release. Promos, variants, etc always take a long time to get updated. Bulk scanner is glitchy, sometimes it won’t recognize a new card, sometimes it goes nuts adding copies of the same card until you intervene. Bulk scanner can’t recognize anything that deviates slightly from an old time frame. So sagas, showcases, full art, most of these will have to be scanned separately. Token support lags way behind the main set, sometimes by weeks. Double sided cards are broken now. Flip button does nothing. For a subscription app, I expect better. Guess it beats Excel.

Great For Tracking
I have my whole collection in here and have little to no problems for the most part as others have put the scanner can be selective with certain cards and colors but that’s easy enough to get around. My main problem is secret lair cards are added really late after release so I have to keep checking if I can finally add them to my collection.
Glitch or intentional paywall model?
Was the best app. Supper fast and only gave me an ad between every 6-12 scans. No big deal. But now there seems to be a glitch where I will scan one card, then try to scan the next but the first one pops up automatically again. The app will do this again and again until the ad appears. Only after the ad can I scan a follow-up card. So I'm basically getting an ad after every single card scan in the form of a glitch that repeats one scan multiple times over. Been using it for years but this kills it for me. Need to find another scanner.
Deck Building
Love this app, but it needs an improvement on the deck building. I shouldn’t have to scan cards into my inventory and into my deck separately. I know that Android has to future, please add to Apple
Increasing Performance Issues
This app started out really well and I’ve recommended it a bunch! In the last 6 months to a year, however, there has been a great increase of random crashes and scanning issues. I’m writing this now because the app has crashed on me at least 15 times over the past hour or so, on top of the scanner getting stuck on the last-scanned card until restarting. I’m on an iPhone SE 2020 but iOS is up to date and I didn’t have any of these issues starting out, so I’m very disappointed in how the app has developed.
Card Tracking + / Deck Build -
It drives me insane that there is no way to build a deck out of your inventory and have to rescan your cards in. Select cards -> add to deck seems like the most basic and intuitive function an app like this should have. Also a function to auto add precons to your inventory. Seems like I should be able to just say I bought the thing and have those cards populate. But other than that works great
Great app
Good value for a working scanner and collection tracker. The market functions are nice to see how the cards I’m thinking of moving are looking day to day. Only concern is that when logging in with google sign in on the app, it doesn’t seem to recognize me on the DS website/store and doesn’t sync dragon rider points.
Depressed to write this
This app used to work great, I used it for years and recommended it to everyone I could. Unfortunately it’s gone down hill over the last year. As of right now I have had a support ticket open for a month, requesting updates regarding my problem weekly. I heard back once and responded back in a hour to try to fix a problem that has made the app virtually unusable for me, and got no reply. At this point dragon shield has lost my faith and support
No Quality Scanner
Does not scan the card for defects or quality, just pulls from a generic database. This would be a great feature to have.
Missing the mark with the scanner.
It can identify cards really well, but can do a quick scan like ManaBox.
Scanner is terrible
I love this app most of the time but when I’m trying to scan cards that are in sleeves, dragon shields mind you, the scanner can not seem to pick it up because their sleeves reflect every bit of light in the room.
It works again & works great
Developer was relatively quick in fixing a problem and it’s back to being my favourite MTG app again
Premium Not working
My wife and I are using the app to scan our collection. We have paid for premium and it says that it is good until March 1st but we keep getting notifications that we should try premium and bulk scan will not work. It was fine 3 weeks ago, now in the last couple of weeks it has not worked. We have tried resetting phone, logging out/logging in, restore purchases and noting works.
Great App But there are a Couple Issues
I’ve been using this app for over a year now and I love it. The scanner mostly works great. However, sometimes it will recognize a black card in low light as the card Savanna. The ads function oddly too, the countdown in the corner goes from 5 to 6 to 5 to 4 and so on. All issues aside this is a great app and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who has played MTG for a long time or is just getting into it. (I stg if it scans black market connections as savanna one more time im finna go buy an alpha savannah and eat it)
Something is broken
The latest update appears to have broken the card view. It lists one card per letter in the alphabet, for a total of just 26 cards. Please fix this as soon as you’re able!
Great but there are better free options
Scanner is great. Inventory is great. Account is great BUT ManaBox does all that for free. No annoying adds ever 5-10 scans. Check out ManaBox!
Need import function. Please!
From what I’ve used of the app and seen so far it looks amazing!!! Until there’s an import option I just cannot justify adding any cards. I’ve spent hundreds of hours inputting cards on a different MTG app. Cannot bring myself to start from scratch. Until such time I cannot start using this app :(

So you can either pay for the service and use the scanner that works almost instantly, or you can use the free version that doesn’t seem to work at all.
Great App
Great App! I like how I can scan my decks and cards rather quickly and have them named and separated. The only think that I have an issue with is when I scan cards into decks that they aren’t automatically put into my inventory as well, I have over 500 cards in my deck list but nothing in my inventory if there was a way to import them to and from that would be awesome
Good scanner, one major issue
I love this scanner as a way to organize and export my collection to csv for buy listing. The issue is once cards are sold removing them from your inventory is a painful and arduous process. There are two options that I see. Either marking it as sold, where you are then required to input a price before moving on, or deleting it. In both cases when I am sorting alphabetical and by set and do either of these, once done it jumps all the way back to the top of the list and I have to scroll all the way back down to find the set I was working in. Every other aspect of this app is so well done for speed during input, I don’t understand how this part was overlooked, but I hope they can change it. An option to select multiple cards at a time or to import another csv list to remove cards would be huge. Otherwise good app if you don’t ever plan to remove cards from your collection.
Was great, now unacceptable
Reminder to not become overcommitted to I used this app to keep track of my collection for about two years. Until the recent update everything worked well. AFTER the recent ‘update,’ where I had to subscribe to a free trial/pay to view and access my collection, nothing works correctly. Cards aren’t showing up in my folders after adding them. I now have some 200 rares filed away that didn’t get added to my digital list, making the first lapse since I started cataloguing. It is enough of a headache to figure out what didn’t get added that I will likely move away from this app entirely as a result.
Love it!
Some of the prices are a bit bad at auto updating from what I’ve seen thus far, but there’s no better way to upload your collection. The scanner is crazy great and super fast compared to alternatives.
Pro Scanner it says… Savannah, my card is not.
Loved this app. Even paid the subscription price for it. Was annoyed how it hates certain angles, borderless or foil cards. Sleeved? Don’t even think about it. Saw they introduced a “Pro Scanner” update. Got excited. Tried it on a card. Savannah. I WISH it was a Savannah.

A wonderful app
An absolutely wonderful app. My only problem is that it is a tad tedious to input large amounts of cards.
Great job, stop improving
Please oh please stop updating the layout every other week. As far as functionality goes it works pretty well most of the time. Or at least when it’s not assuming every third card is serialized or Savannah. Just stop changing the layout constantly, it’s only getting harder to navigate. Edit: UI has been updated again and it is worse. Lost the ability to jump between colors or card types quickly. Horrible filter over foil cards making previews difficult to read. If there were an option to revert that would be great.

The scanner is so fast. Turned my Month work into a few days.
Great database
Anytime this app updates you can lose most of your scanned collection. Do not waste time on this app. My iPad and phone both have different amounts of cards in my collection, and it will be countless hours to scan in the 10k’s of cards the app dropped. Awful. The worst.
Overall good
Overall this is an excellent app, but I think that in the deck portion of the app, if you could sort your decks by the card type (Creature, Land, Artifact, Etc.) would help a lot, along with telling you the price of your deck in its current state.

I’ve been using the app to track my entire collection, but now I can’t get into my collection anymore. App keeps freezing.

why cant you tell me what my decks are worth? at this point im just gunna keep creating new folders and use those for my deck building… at least make it so i can transfer my decks to the collection but no i now have to scan twice… at this point the deck building list is pointless unless your looking for stats but even then…
Great App!
This is an awesome App! However I hope one day that they have conversion to Canadian$. The scanning experience is 99% near perfect. Looking forward to testing the other new features when they become available! Canadian Conversion Please!!
Got charged for the free trial?
So yesterday I signed up for the free premium trial and wasn’t supposed to be billed for 7 days…..woke up this morning to a $25.98 apple charge from this app, ended up canceling the free trial as well last night because the card scanner wouldn’t work. How do I get refunded my money, a free trial is supposed to be free….?
Missing Something
I found out about this app through a previous app that told me to install it because it was being discontinued, so I downloaded it. The app is great, even better than the one that was discontinued. I like how you can scan a card (using the camera) and it shows up. However, the search tab is missing something: filters. What if someone is looking for a particular card, they know what the main type of card is, and the subtype, but don’t know the name. It would make searching for a card a whole lot better than just scrolling through the bajillion cards found in the database.
Scanner…
I’ve only had the app for two days, but I’ve not been able to get the scanner to work at all. No sleeve, not in direct light, I’ve tried laying the card down, standing the card up. It just does not seem to work. Adding a capture button would make it much less of a hassle to scan cards.
Needs some work - so far, wonderful
I haven’t used the original, but I needed to keep a deck list of my commander. This was super fast and easy to make my list and I found it very user friendly. There are some bugs that need some working out, but by judging on how recent this release is and being a second app, I’ll give it time and change my review later when it is fixed up!
