Lotta fun
I like it
WAY outdated images!! Useless app!
I downloaded this app hoping to use it to plan my landscaping. The images are well over 1 yr old/maybe 2 yrs?! still showing massive trees that are no longer in my yard. Kind of hard to track the Sun in the current yard or use this app for planning when the images are so old that I can’t use it. I contacted them to inquire about this and was told “The imagery is never real time but it does not impact the calculations at all.” Oh really? The “customer support” doesn’t even know how the app works. So giant trees (that aren’t there) blocking the sun (on the app) when there is NO tree…. Yeah the images do matter!! Not sure how this app got so many good ratings!
Extremely useful but beware
This app is awesome. It’s surprising how accurate the app is at placing the sun in the sky. It’s very helpful for gardening when you’re trying to find how much sun a spot will get during the day. However, users must be careful. When you give permission to access the camera for AR mode, you’re giving permission to access at all times. I first noticed when I closed the app in the garden, locked my phone and put it in my pocket and went inside. Then I opened the phone to use safari at my kitchen table the. Locked the phone again. An hour later I went back outside and reopened the app from the apps tray and the image that was on the AR screen was my kitchen table before the camera turned back on. This is a terrible breach of privacy. Always make sure to close the app when you’re done using it. I would have given 5 stars to this app if it weren’t for the terrible privacy issues.
Was a great app for years.
Just recently changed and now I’m not able to use the map section
Tracking the Sun with Augmented Reality! Bet!
It’s free but worth the ONE TIME fee for premium of only 9.99. I use solar panels and knowing where the sun will be at, any time of day and now any time 365 has helped me gain 50% more efficiency in receiving solar power from the sun for my Pecron E3600LFP power station! Thank you to whoever created this app! You’re a real one for this!
Doesn’t calibrate on new devices
Also cannot manually calibrate as the slider is not big enough overall worthless but would be nice if it worked
Where’s the Sun today?
A really useful app when camping and using solar energy

fulfilled my need.
Makes changes that can’t be undone
This app creates a calendar on your phone without asking and then the calendar can never be deleted even on a new phone that doesn’t have the app. It can’t even be deleted on the iCloud desktop site. It’ll never go away.
Awesome app
Great concept. This app does exactly what I needed it to do. My only comment is, the UI could be smoother.
Amateur
International access is not consistent
I could not access sub tracker in Morocco
Trash
Useless
Very useful
Used to install sun powered cameras , helped much
A great Solar info tool
If you want to get the most from solar panels then you need this app.
Can’t figure it out
They need a video or something to explain how to use it
Ok, leider sommerzeit bug weiterhin vorhanden
Die zeiten stimmen im sommer leider nicht. Ist um 1 stunde verschoben. Wurde gemeldet, und bug erkannt. Leider gibt es noch immer kein fix. Ansonsten ist die app ok.
Doesn’t work- bugged waste of money
I bought the premium features it locks up- has pop up screens of doom - doesn’t give me any premium features
Doesn’t work offline
A lovely way to show the path of the sun. The app doesn’t work offline, although alternative apps are able to.
Movies
The app works wonderful when you’re scouting locations for shooting movies
It was great
The app was great before… now the map is so slow. (Ipad pro 1st)
Very comprehensive solar tracking date
Provides copious information regarding solar angles throughout the year as well as the day.
The AR doesn't work very well
The app couldn't even use AR to find where the sun is now. That's all I wanted it to do.
Tolle App
So etwas habe ich schon lange gesucht. 2€ würde ich dafür angemessen halten.
Enjoyable
A great way to help get a sense of space. Feature rich.
Incorrect
The ar in this app is all over the place. Completely changes it’s mind about where the sun will rise. Checked at night had one position- Then changed its mind several times the morning of trying to capture a sunrise. Definitely unreliable and not an option if you want to accurately estimate the suns position.
Trevlig
Simple and straight to the point.
Meat without the fluff. Seamless as the first dip of peanut butter. Thank you for a solid application.
What day is it?
According to this app it is December 23rd, but its actually September 29th. I cant change the date without paying money?!? Is this a joke?
Sun Beam
A+
completely useless
you have to pay to change the location, which defaults to London
Great functionality
I am using this app to plot out our raised garden beds for maximum sun exposure. It’s pretty slick. The only issue is that the AR frequently freezes when changing dates requiring me to force quit and restart the app. Fix that and it’s a five star app!
Wonderful!
I love this app! So useful for figuring out houseplant lighting, garden planning, planning outdoor activities, photography, etc.
Problems
It keeps freezing every time I use it! Please advise. iPhone X
Great app, but could be better
The app itself is amazing, I use it as a tool for some architectural university projects. The 3D imagery is amazing and the slider is very helpful. The fact that you can use it to study a site at any time of the year is also amazing. It could be better if you could lock a location and the sun circle was a little more versatile (visually) to hide or show more of the imagery if needed or vice versa. But overall I’ve had very good results with it and will continue to use it. Looking forward to any future updates you may bring.
