Sehr gute Ladeapp
Alles super, besonders das Laden mit Sonnenstunden Vorhersage um die PV optimal zu nutzen. Perfekt wäre sie, wenn ich für einzelne Wochentage wiederkehrend einstellen könnte, dass Nachts garantiert vollgeladen wird. So wäre ich immer auf der sicheren Seite, dass an Arbeits-/ Office Tagen das Fahrzeug vollgeladen ist.
Unnötig teuer.
Warum sollte ich ein Abo abschließen um mein Auto zu laden? Muss ich bei einem Benziner auch ein Abo abschließen um an die Tankstelle zu fahren? Dazu sind die Preise meiner Erachtens viel zu teuer, egal im welchem Abo? Die App? Schrecklich kompliziert und wie die VW App langsam und unübersichtlich. Alles in allem ein Beispiel warum die deutschen Autohersteller untergehen werden.
Seit Update Wallbox nicht mehr in App
Seit dem Update wird die im Account hinzugefügte Wallbox (Elli Charger) nicht mehr angezeigt. Erneutes Anmelden & App-Neuinstallation konnten nicht helfen. Muss die Wallbox jetzt ständig neu gekoppelt werden? Update: Die Wallbox taucht jetzt wieder auf, ohne Änderungen meinerseits.

Probleme über Probleme
Die App-Erfahrung ist leider enttäuschend. Seit über 12 Stunden zeigt die App ein laufendes Update an, während die Wallbox über das Web-Interface zwar meldet, sie sei auf dem neuesten Stand, jedoch gleichzeitig eine veraltete Version anzeigt; es findet offensichtlich keine korrekte Synchronisation zwischen Hardware und Cloud statt. Zudem lassen sich Ladekarten nicht hinzufügen und die angepriesene Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Volkswagen App und der Wallbox funktioniert in der Praxis nicht. Besonders frustrierend ist der Support: Obwohl in den Unterlagen mit einer 24/7-Hotline geworben wird, erhält man bei Anrufen außerhalb der Bürozeiten lediglich den Hinweis, man rufe außerhalb der Geschäftszeiten an. Die gesamte Software-Umgebung wirkt extrem unausgereift und nicht miteinander kompatibel, wodurch die Wallbox derzeit nicht wie versprochen nutzbar ist. Edit: Nachdem ich mich über das Webinterface mit der Wallbox verbunden und das Update manuell eingespielt hatte, funktionierten die meisten Funktionen. Allerdings reagiert das System immer noch sehr träge und die Filterfunktion zeigt veraltete Ladekarten an, die schon seit Langem deaktiviert sind und nie genutzt wurden. Entfernt lassen sich diese leider nicht.
Fair prices with Subs
App is quite stable. Prices are fair if you subscribe and charge at the Selected Partner Network. The only thing to be improved would be the log in details. It has to remember me!
Einfach nur schlecht
Man versteht es nicht: eigentlich dient die App doch dazu, dass man mit die Firma Umsatz macht. Trotzdem ist die Lade Karte so unglaublich schlecht gestaltet, dass man die Ladestationen kaum finden kann… Warum nur?
Überschussladen
Das Überschuss laden lässt sich nun über die App einschalten. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass auch ein Stopp Button in der App auch im Überschuss Laden Modus eingebaut wird - da die Wollbox in dem Modus bei geringer werdender Solarleistung die hausbatterie anzapft
Für Business Kunden nicht nutzbar
die App macht insgesamt einen guten Eindruck. Leider kann man die Elli Businesskarten nicht mit der App verbinden. So kann ich nur Ladesäulen benutzen an denen Karten akzeptiert werden. Was zudem nicht akzeptabel ist, dass Rechnungen nur per Überweisung bezahlt werden können und Elli einem gerne 3 Rechnungen im Monat schickt einmal für Grundgebühr, dann für die Ladungen in DE, dann für Auslandladungen… so macht Elektromobilität keinen Spaß. Bei EWE Go funktioniert das alles per Lastschrift und komplett ohne Grundgebühren…
Gut mit anfänglichem Stress
Die Ellinox funktioniert gut, wir sind zufrieden. Nur fie Inbetriebnahme ist stressig über die App. Warum hat das Ding keinen Display. Wir wohnen im Outback, das WLAN ist nur über Starkink verfügbar u d die Installation über die App ist nervig

Habe die 22 kW Connect 2 seit ein paar Wochen mit meinem BMW in Betrieb und bin super happy über Funktionsumfang und Zuverlässigkeit des Chargers mitsamt App!
Pay buy app take €49 but never works
The Elli card there doesn’t seem to be a problem you can charge with ease. But in the app it doesn’t tell you the charging progress. A lot of chargers are not supported. If I want to use the app to charge, even though have credit on my account it takes €49 deposit. It doesn’t work then you try again another €49 locked from your account, which takes around an hour to refund. What I do like is the premium subscription which allows me to travel throughout France and save money on quite a lot of chargers. The map needs a lot of work I just tried to charge at the charger at my hotel it shows as a charger on the map but didn’t allow me to charge. Sorry the app Needs some work.
Im Grunde soweit gut
Mann kann den Status sehen und wieviel geladen wurde. Die EEBUS Funktionalität mit Homematic IP ist leider nicht gegeben, was ein Grund für mich war, mich für diese Wallbox zu entscheiden.
Close but no cookie
Nice that it has the electricity price tracking and charging. Unfortunately, often with a non vw group car, the app won't let me start boost, just says connecting to car. Also, there should be configurable high and low limits, for example always charge if price is below 4 cents and never charge if above 20c.
Gutes Gesamtpaket
Ich nutze die App privat wenn ich mit unserem E-Auto unterwegs bin, meistens auf der Fahrt in den Urlaub. Die Filtermöglichkeiten sind gut und auch die Routenplanung ist eine Hilfe. Die App läuft stabil und ist gut bedienbar. Das Elli-Ladenetz (inkl. Partnern) bietet eine gute Abdeckung auch in England und Norwegen. Stand März 2026: Sinnvoll ist das Pro-Abo für €17,99 monatlich im Urlaubsmonat, wenn man wirklich viel fährt, oder das Plus-Abo (Ionity für €0,39/kWh), weil man dann mit Ladekarte statt App komfortabler laden kann. Leider kann man wegen der variablen und teilweise recht hohen DC-Preise nicht mehr gut im Voraus berechnen, ob sich das Abo lohnt. Selbst Selected Partners für €0,55/kWh im Pro-Abo erscheint teuer im Vergleich zu EweGo zu €0,52 (mit Registrierung) oder Ad-hoc (Jet, Teag, …) zu €0,50. Schade um die sonst sehr gute App. Stand Juli 2024: Mit 50 Cents/kWh (in Deitschland, mit Grundgebühr) bei den Selected Partnern sind die Preise akzeptabel - und dank größerer Auswahl kann man auch mal einer kleinen Ionity-Ladestation ausweichen - bei nur 4 Ladepunkten staut es sich dort in den Sommerferien manchmal. Verbesserungsvorschlag für die App: Die Karte sollte noch die Nummern von Autobahnen und Bundesstraßen anzeigen, das würde die Orientierung erleichtern.

Charge their own penalty charges despite operator tariffs
Avoid like the plague. Elli impose time based penalty charges even on the slowest destination chargers. The charge point operators explain they don’t understand and don’t receive these Elli penalties. Elli impose these punitive charges themselves after 3 hours, even though the charger operator doesn’t want to, the signs say the opposite, you have paid correctly in addition for parking, and some destination chargers only have delivered 9kWh in this time! There is no warning and if you park for twelve hours, can easily extort €20 a time, despite you following the car park and charger instructions perfectly. Blatant theft.

Awful - far far to complex
20 minutes trying to register app, doesn’t show Portugal as a country. App name, charger provider and charger hardware all different. No clear instructions what app to use. Eventually worked out as it was Elli charging - is it easy to register? No. Drove away frustrated without charge.
Keine Abo möglich / kein Support
Trotz mehrmaliger Neuinstallation der App ist es mir nicht möglich ein Abo abzuschließendes und die App zu nutzen. Der Support kümmert sich nicht um das Problem. Trotz mehrmaliger Hinweise und Schilderung meines Problems. Schlechte App und schlechter Support. Nachtrag 24.09.25 Meine Anfrage habe ich bereits Anfang September an den Support gesendet. Siehe Ihre E-Mail Antwort vom 11.09. um 12:39 Uhr, das Sie sich darum kümmern. Bis heute keine Reaktion, obwohl ich nochmals nachgefragt habe! Nachtrag: 26.09.25 der Support hat das Problem behoben und mir für die Unannehmlichkeiten ein Gutschein zugesandt. Jetzt kann ich auch wieder mehr Sterne vergeben

Plug in Hybrid
Mit der App habe ich keine Probleme . Nur schade das einige Funktionen nicht mit meinem Auto gehen sowie Auto mit wallbox verbinden . Leider anscheinend nur für reine Elektro Autos und kein hybrid gedacht obwohl es ein vw ist geht es nicht schade .
Priserne er ikke så gode længere, men der er kommet CarPlay 👌🏻
Fin app der engang have fornuftige priser. Desværre er priserne for nye abonnenter ikke så spændende mere. Til gengæld er der endelig kommet CarPlay og det virker ret godt med filtermuligheder og det hele - opdagede det tilfældigt, det der INTET har stået i releasenoterne - det var da ellers en nyhed værd at nævne 😉man kan bestille ladekort så det er nemt at starte ladning.
Charging works fine - but Elli don’t take my payment!
Unfortunately there’s no easy way of contacting Elli and speaking to someone who might be able to solve this problem. The last few times I’ve used Elli to charge my EV, they simply haven’t bothered to take payment via the app. (Yes, my card details are correct.) I don’t know they haven’t bothered to take the payment, until a month later when I get a threatening email telling me they’re adding interest to the “overdue” payment. I’ve just had this happen for the third time, and I’m quite fed up with it now! Payment worked fine for my first few months, but not for the last few months. I won’t continue using Elli, and will revert to just making payment at the charge point with my normal debit card. The slight positive of saving a few pounds here and there through using Elli is massively outweighed by the stress and inconvenience of dealing with these so-called “overdue” payments. They wouldn’t be overdue if Elli had just taken my money in the first place, as I’ve expressly given it permission to do in the app with my bank card details. I’d rather spend a few extra quid and not have to deal with this nonsensical hassle every month. Edited, following the “developer update” to my review, that tells me to email them with more information. The point is ultimately that this problem shouldn’t occur: my payment details are correct and completely up to date, there’s plenty of money in my account, and for the first 6 months of my having my EV, the Elli app worked perfectly and didn’t cause me any extra hassle. This has changed in recent months, and it’s the extra hassle that is the problem here. I spend my entire life dealing with problems. Dealing with problems is fine when I’m getting paid to do it for work, and it’s fine when I’m helping my friends. It’s fine when I’m dealing with my pre-school child, and it’s fine when I’m helping my elderly relatives. I’m not averse to problem-solving, it’s just that I’m exhausted by it because I already have to do it for everyone else. So, it’s not fine when I have to deal with problems that make normal day-to-day activities awkward and annoying instead of smooth and hassle-free. I don’t want to have to enter into a problem-solving arena JUST to pay for my vehicle’s fuel - and especially not when I’ve ensured the company has the correct information and permission for them to take payment automatically. (As I said originally, Elli used to do that.) The apparent expectation that I, as the customer, should take on an additional admin burden and ask via emails why the company is now not taking my money like it’s supposed to do, is very off-putting. I already spend about 50% my life emailing, and I just don’t want to do more emails. Having to do extra admin and troubleshooting just to persuade a company to take payment for fuel was NOT on my radar when choosing an EV. If the extra hassle - over such a boring-yet-fundamental thing - had been a known risk, I’d probably have stuck with ICE for longer. You just don’t get this sort of problem when filling your car up with petrol! Elli has stopped working for me, and I have numerous other options to pay for charging my EV, so I’ll simply use those instead. Because they do not require me to use what little is left of my mental bandwidth. The reason I have a car is to make my life easier and lower hassle, not the opposite.
App funktioniert gut und stabil, aber …
Mir fehlen 2 Dinge, die die App auf 5 Sterne bringen würden. 1. in der CarPlay Ansicht würde ich gern in der Kartenansicht auf einen Ladepunkt drücken und dann die Informationen sehen und nicht links in der Liste scrollen, um dann den vermuteten Punkt in der Karte zu finden. 2. ich vermisse eine Auto-Scroll-Funktion in der Karte. So ist es doch unschön, immer wieder auf den Zentrier-Button drücken zu müssen.
Keine Verbindung zur Wallbox möglich
Bei dieser App bekomme ich regelmäßig die Meldung das die Wallbox offline ist. In meinem Netzwerk wird sie allerdings als eine aktive WLAN-Verbindung angezeigt. Wenn ich mich direkt auf die Wallbox aufschalte, meldet mir die Box das sie eine aktive Verbindung hat. Nur diese App bekommt keine Verbindung und somit kann ich nicht mein Auto laden….

Leider wird die Ladeleistung in der App nicht angezeigt. Ich fahre einen Peugeot e2008

Ich nutze die App für meine Wallbox zu Hause. Leider muss man sich ständig neu Einloggen. Ich habe keine Ahnung wieso die App einen ständig von selbst ausloggt. Einfach extrem nervig und aus meiner Sicht völlig unnötig.

Faulty app
You login in and click on the Subscription button and the app crashes. Deleted and reinstalled and it still crashes!
App is frustrating
This review is on the app itself rather than the actual service from Elli. Over the last couple of weeks, a couple of times , once a charge has finished, it doesn’t stop in the app. So the timer continues . I did a trip to London last week so charged the night before. I went to charge the next day when I was traveling home and it wouldn’t accept my RFID or allow me to start a charge through the app because it said it was still charging from the previous evening. I called the helpline and they said it will automatically stop after 24 hours. This was no good for me! . I ended up having to use a different app which cost me double the price .
Used to be good
Elli used to be good. Last year I was on their drive highway subscription and the savings were amazing. 31p/kW at IONITY was the best thing since sliced bread as it made public charging accessible and only slightly more expensive than charging at home. Now however, the prices are simply too expensive. Do you save money over being a PAYG customer - yes. But not a fat lot. 66p/kW at DC charging stations is way too expensive. IONITY is now 44p/kW which isn’t terrible, but a massive increase over last years 31p. Would highly recommend leaving Elli and using the Tesla supercharger network. Much cheaper.
Geht so
Vom Grundsatz her übersichtlich und leicht zu bedienen. Was mich nur nervt: ich werde alle paar Tage ausgeloggt und muss mich wieder neu anmelden. Das ist unnötiger Aufwand. Zudem kann man eine Wallbox, die einmal in dieser App hinterlegt ist, nicht zusätzlich in der Volkswagen App koppeln. Es geht nur: entweder, oder. Sehr schade.
Outstanding!
Tried with both Ionity & BP Pulse chargers. Worked perfectly and billed with a substantial saving over the service providers own apps. Not sure how this has been achieved but keep it up!

Unreliable. The app doesn't work anymore in my area, the card never works. To initiate a charging session is a matter of luck. All reports I've made ended with a formal answer and no action.

Avoid this Company at all costs. Their services are going down day by day and they are still charging the same amount of money. Once you agreed to SUBSCRIPTION you can not cancel it anymore no matter you are using or not their sevices

Fungerar bra men hade fått alla stjärnor om den haft CarPlay stöd fins många liknande som har det så förstår inte varför den inte har CarPlay stöd hoppas detta kommer snart.
