Does not decipher well
I purchased this app hoping to transfer notes taken at a conference to digital, but the digital copies were just gibberish. I would have to retype all of my notes.
It’s not perfect
That’s not perfect, but I got it to work for me.
Not really useful
I really needed this for school because of accesibility purposes after I missed a week and needed to catch up while away, only to find out you have to pay to copy text? Rather, you have to pay to do ANYTHING to or with the text? It completely defeats the purpose in my opinion. I entirely understand the payed purchase neccessity, but what am I going to do after scanning the text? Stare at it? I already have the writing in front of me, why would I need to scan it if I didn’t need to export or edit it? If you plan on using this app, plan on not using it at all unless you want to pay for it. It isn’t a high price at all, but I personally don’t think it’s worth it. I would rather find a different app. And I apologize if there is some other use of text that isn’t copying, exporting, or editing, I’m just not aware of any :) Also, it caught all the text really well, so if I were able to use it it would be really useful. The only things is that since I can’t edit, when it finds excess text on the screen from tabs or keys, you can’t change that.
Helpful
The app is so extremely helpful! But sometimes the text gets really mixed up so it’s hard to digest what it’s putting down.
Better Than Universal Copy
This Text Capture app in the Apple I-OS Apps Store is like the Universal Copy app that I bought in an Android Apps Store. I tried using Universal Copy, but I could not completely understand how it works. In contrast, this Apple I-OS Text Capture app is easy to use and I like its rich blue color with lighter colors over a black background. Also, for the features of this app, I like how I don’t have to select any text characters because if I can select text characters on the display screen, I can copy, paste, and share the selection without needing to take a screen shot. With this app, I can take the text characters from app descriptions of apps in the Apple I-OS Apps Store. Those descriptions are not allowing the standard select text option to copy, paste, and share. This Text Capture App is dis-connecting text characters from a screen display and allowing a user to edit the dis-connected text like a basic text editor. The name of this app goes well with my user name for writing reviews and I like it. As soon as I can get a generic, major brand gift card such as Discover, Vanilla Visa, American Express, or Master Card, I will pay the one-time small fee to buy the Professional, Premium, or Plus version that lasts forever.
This app is a scam
When you click on it, it says pay once use forever for $3.99 but once you purchase it, it then says $39.99
Rating
It would be better if there were more options to add Pictures to the Text or to add the text to my other Apps. I have to Copy, Paste everything.
Wish can change the voice
Wish can change the voice or make it little slower. and it doesn’t scan right
Not free for OCR function and not accurate
The app shows it’s free but if you actually want to use it for OCR purposes, it’s $3.99. Switch and bait; just state it is a paid app. Used the OCR function and it removes the formatting. Therefore plan on spending significant time re-formatting. The accuracy of the text capture is about 80%.
Text Capture
This app is so time saving to capture text with your phone or tablet! I love it and use it all the time….
Terrible
I paid for this app because it was simple and did not require a subscription. I read other reviews indicating it was a reliable app. Even after paying the results were appallingly bad. Trying to convert an image or capture text from something is absolutely a nightmare. You’ll spend more time cleaning up text. It doesn’t even capture whole words. You have to revise and edit the entire thing. It’s a waste of time. You could just retype the text quicker. I want my money back. I’m angry that I paid for this and there is no recourse. It’s a scam. If it was free it might be okay but for $4 is not worth it at all.
Wish i could share multiple documents at once
Good otherwise though
k
works but after u take the photo and try to copy the text u get told to buy it for $4. wasting time. i could have been looking for another app. why wait until after i struggle with the photo taking part (the button is so small)
iPad support and Persian (Farsi) Language
please optimize for ipad : support rotate screen, ipad split screen, Stage Manager and please add persian (farsi) language
Good App
Works great, recommended
Garbage
Only lets you capture a very small amount of text and unless you pay for the app you can't even do most things on it. Don't bother trying to scan the text because it'll come out sounding like 5 languages, taking a picture works better but you can't even crop what you want properly
Can a saved scan be deleted?
I really like the app and it works about as good as I would expect. I haven’t encountered any significant issues. Sometimes the text is misspelled or is formatted incorrectly it these issues are easily solved.
Theoretisch
Würde es mind. genauso gut Texte erkennen wie andere Apps, würde ich Premium kaufen. Allerdings erkennt es im Vergleich nicht so gut Texte wie andere Apps - Premiumkauf ausgeschlossen.
Not accurate enough
I use the app to copy LoraWAN DevEUI's (32 characters printed clearly on a box). The app gets z's mixed up with 2's. Not good enough.
Very good
Good
Before downloading - read this
Please realize that this app has ZERO UTILTY unless you pay the $3.99 they’re asking for it. You can “demo” the capture, but you can’t copy, share, or do a n y t h i n g with the text without paying first.
Good not bad app
Good not bad
Tutto a pagamento
Sarebbe utile fosse gratis, magari con qualche pubblicità. Ma si paga per fare qualsiasi cosa di estremamente basic. Non consiglio.
Random words
Doesn’t work it puts random words
Splendid
Very convenient Done in a split of second
Pay wall
$4
I cant hear speech
Very good idea with the functions but I cant hear speech. Hope you can fix soon!
Todo es pago
Todo es pago
Mas o menos funcional
Pues en si la aplicación es muy buena y cumple sus funciones pero lo malo es que tienes que pagar dinero
Excellent
Excellent and helps me so much while study
Useless
The app is useless, unless you pay for it, seriously what’s the point if it didn’t even do what it says. You have to pay or it to do what it says
Doesn’t let you copy or edit text without buying
^ exactly the title lol, and u can only scan with your phone vertically,
Awesome
Awesome
Trash, don’t buy
This app is completely trash. Was clearly made a a school project. Thanks for stealing my $4…
Great for my use case - taking offline Kindle notes
Late to the eReader game, I have plenty of books on my Kindle not from the Amazon store, and want and easy way to save them to an Obsidian vault. This app makes it easy for me to scan a passage, save it to my iPhone, then paste it within an Obsidian vault. No I don’t mind paying for an accurate and easy to use tool…
It’s practically pay to use
It scans the text of your images (if the text is VERY clear) Then it doesn’t let you do anything with it Meaning all you can do is read it, and screenshot it, and a screenshot makes no sense since that’s also an image???? If you pay for it, you can do things with it- But at that point might as well have the app be paid for right off the bat
Multi-functional,Nice price
Save and name the scanned text as a separate text collection in the app. Save text from image as text file for any text doc app. Scanner recognizes many types of characters/symbols besides standard letters, numbers. So it makes for a decent BASIC text editor. Definitely worth the $ for what I need it for.
Scam
It’s a “free” app but what they don’t tell you is that if you want to edit, copy, export, or literally anything else with the text, you have to pay. The “free” scan just sits there on your phone, unusable. Immediately deleted.
