Best drone app
Very well done app. After watch so many of you videos I finally got the app I wish I got it sooner.
Wind speed is not accurate
Wind speeds in the app are shown as one speed. Winds are not static. Need to see wind speed min and max gusts
Ok but…
It contains lots of info but the UI is a bit clunky. A more refined look and feel would do wonders. Also the file input/output could be easier to use.

Celle-ci me permet de satisfaire aux exigences du Règlement de l’Aviation Canadien et de consulter directement les NOTAM qui pourraient restreindre mes opérations sans avoir à consulter de nombreux sites web. App keeps crashing
iPhone X, app worked for a day and now won’t open, keeps crashing. Not impressed with the $30 charge! I want a refund!
Great app but ….
This is a great app to place all of your documents and info in the app. Also has maps, phone numbers etc etc The reason why i wrote but… : of this app can have a link to Nav Drone or be able to plan your flight and get it approved. Im sure there is a way to link the 2 L
Keeps crashing
I just purchased the app and when I go to create a flight plan the app crashes constantly. Please help.
Excellent App
This is a must have if you are a drone pilot. Everything is easy to use and understandable. Gives you all the info you need to fly safely. All in one app!
Great app but still room for improvement
This app has definitely had some thought out into it. Nicely laid out with plenty of documentation available to get you setup and going. Customizable checklists are huge for me! Would be great though if the app listed all the air space levels above your flight location as this is huge when conducting site survey and flight plans to be able to understand what’s up there in the event of a verticals fly away. Currently the app only lists the airspace class at ground level. But I could have class C airspace 1700 ft above that. Important to document and present on flight reviews. The font size in the pdf export of the site survey and flight plan could use a bit of clean up as my export had 3 different font sizes throughout the export. If I’m pay $60 for this, I’d appreciate a clean exported copy for my records. All around though a solid, well thought out app that covers the majority of what you need to get flying safely
Doesn’t sync between devices
I just got this, and as of version 3.5 there is no syncing between devices. I switch between my iPhone and iPad a lot, so this is a fairly significant disappointment (considering the price), and I wish I knew about this before. There is a workaround, using the backup recovery feature but it is far from ideal and gets messy real quick. The option to have Syncing my data via iCloud would be tremendously useful!
Amazing Drone Flight App
Drone Pilot app is worth its weight in gold. The app does it all, pinpoints your location, shows you the aerodromes and heliports around you, tap on the aerodrome and instantly get all the info about it. You can store documents in the app and much more. It’s my go to app for all my Drone flights. It’s well worth the one time cost of $60 CAD.

I wish it was beginner friendly
I’m new to drone and bought a mini 2 which is under 250g. I bought this app because it is recommended in Canada. I like it because it is up to date and tells you accurately. Another thing that I didn’t like is I wish it tells you what it mean when there’s abbreviation. The “TC” not really sure what that means. And when I click to DJI the yellow circle is gone. Also another one is deleting the air craft that I added into if I’m not sure about what to put and will put it later on to edit. I couldn’t edit my first one and I was going to add a serial number but turns out I have to create a new aircraft. I would give it more like a 3 but since it is up to date and has built in checklists and also has the option to “Create Flight Authorization” which is useful in the future.
THE Must Have App for Drone Operations in Canada
I have used this app for two years for all my flights and all the flight reviews I’ve conducted. It is amazing! Can’t imagine operating without it!
Amazing App, but for one thing
Please oh please, allow us to save completed checklists into a time stamped list similar to the flight logs and make them csv reportable. Other than that this app is amazing!
An absolute must-have for Canadian operators
This app has everything you could want in one place. I would need at least 20 different folders, links, websites, etc. without it. The national parks feature is especially helpful as even the Canadian drone tool doesn’t offer that!
Fantastic app
This app has everything you need to stay out of trouble in Canada. I would give it a 5 stars if it was syncing the data in iCloud, this way, all the devices I use would sync the info (aircraft, flight plan, crew, pilots, etc).
Best App for Canadian pilots
This app had everything I needed to successfully pass the Transport Canada Advanced Drone Pilot Flight Review. From flight planning tools that output compliant reports that consolidate the information from the wide range of sources to robust customizable checklists and procedures that again, if used and followed, will lead to compliant operations and successful flights. The associated videos on YouTube make it easy to learn how to use the app to its fullest and to be confident in your processes. Can’t say enough good things about this app. 6 stars.
Great initiative but still has work to be done
Great job on starting up this app! I have a few suggestions you guys should look into to make it even greater. 1) Bug not letting me delete a maintenance added by accident on an aircraft 2) It would be nice if we could save flight checklists and procedures as they are being checked out for each individual flight. That way we can prove that the checklists and procedures have been followed and confirmed before/during each flight. 3) Having access to these procedures during the flight could also be nice for landing procedures which could be read out loud and checked out by a crew member while the pilot gets ready for landing. 4) A way to sync the data to my tablet and also on my phone whether it be synced through iCloud or some other way to log in to an account. I know i’m asking for a lot but I also want to see this app to succeed. I love the initiative you have taken in order to make flying drones in Canada easier after all of these complicated and often confusing regulations and requirements from Transport Canada.
Options missing.
The options for TC. And DJI sRPAS / sub250g Do not appear on the app. They used to but stopped recently. I tried to report the problem via app support but it says i don’t have the app. Anything I can do to fix this. I got a response guite awhile ago. Was my lack of knowledge that caused the problem. I had the drone on one device which worked find but not registered on second device. Problem rectified.
