Not as good as it sounds
Does not load local weekly supermarket special’s. Some pantry and fridge items are misread for recipes, such as beef pie substituted for beef mince. Frustrating when trying to sort a week of recipes. Not what I thought.
Trying out the app - a few observations
I’d be more inclined to purchase this app if it could do the following: iPad compatible - would make planning so much easier with a larger screen, especially with families building meal plans together. Allow collaboration with family members living in the same household so we don’t double up on purchasing, can plan meals for the entire family.
Grocery list disappeared but I got it back!!

More Aldi issues, bad UX, and poor data
Updating my review after trying again: The prices on-app have shown lower than what’s in-store leading to a higher grocery bill. Aldi prices missing despite identical products being at Coles/Woolies and Aldi (Coke 30 pack for example). The UX is terrible even after the update, really hard to even know where to go. Just so busy and chock-full of CTAs. On some products instead of a price per litre, it just lists the volume of the product (600mL rather than $6.67 / 1L, for example) Finally and probably most importantly, needs more sharks :/
confusing
this app is so confusing. i have put my grocery list in. every time it updates, the list lost. this time i cant even find the list. terrible.
Inaccurate
This app has such potential but it’s just not accurate enough with pricing to rely on. A quick check on the cole’s app found that the same item was on special and half the price of what was listed on the wiselist app. Not worth it.
Items
He cannot find products which you know they supply. I understand you can’t find everything.
Recent Update
The recent update seemed to remove the wise list groceries tab where all your items are. I contacted the team and they told me it’s a bug issue. You can log out and re log back in to get the list back. 5 stars on this app after I resolved this issue
Bad UX & mess
I installed to check price of grocery but it does so much more and UX IS SO HARD TO FIGURE OUT. On top of that randomly ads will pop up.
Please make an iPad version of this app
Would make it so much easier to be able to do it on a big screen particularly the meal planning part and it’s especially helpful for people who have the Magic Keyboard on their iPad. It is an otherwise great app, but an iPad version of the app would be very helpful. I hope WiseList will make it a priority to introduce it.
Flawed
This app is good for comparing prices but let’s just say it has potential. The UI is a clunky disaster. It tries to do too much. I don’t need an AI chat bot in my shopping list. Item categories don’t always make sense and there’s no way to reorder lists. The meal planner is pretty inflexible. Products don’t always show up together, especially Aldi can be hard to find. Unit pricing is inconsistent. List doesn’t divide into stores although it claims to do so. Why doesn’t it tally my grocery bill? It has all the data.
Great idea but buggy
Would be so much better if it was updated more often. Lots of common items available at Coles & Woolworths don’t scan into the app. Scanning items into Fridge & Pantry app is a good idea but it’s so hard to manage quantities being used as there is no search field. No items available from Aldi which is a shame.

Easily compare between the two big grocery stores for half price specials.

Needs a tally section for your bills. So you know how much you spent so far, definitely would be a top tier app if you could function that in a lot of people are bad at budgeting or even want to know their expenses are on the fly.
Has Potential
The app has huge potential but it’s soo unessesary clunky and not intuitive. And I get you have to make money somehow but the ads on free tier are overkill.
just okay
hard to compare items in the list when the coles and woolworths versions are listed separately but otherwise identical, and there doesn’t seem to be any tagging - just the name of the product as per the supermarket. i hoped i could type ‘tinned tomatoes’ and get all types of tomato in a tin to choose the best price, but actually the results are tinned spaghetti in tomato sauce. also, different items seem to show up when you change the sort - eg sort by relevance will show a series of items but when sorting by price low to high, cheapest items will disappear. the work needed to find the right terms for accurate comparison means i’ll just go back to searching on each supermarket app seperately.
Handy
The grocey price comparison isn’t perfect because it doesn’t include Aldi, but it’s super handy with fridge, pantry, bills and subs tracking all in one place.
Very poor user experience
Let’s ignore the ads thing - ads are annoying but a necessity with free services. Even so, the basic service should be easy to set up. It is very much not easy to set up. Adding loyalty cards expects you to have a physical card. I haven’t carried a physical loyalty card since well before COVID. You can add your card manually, the app claims, but doesn’t accept the card number copied/pasted from the Everyday Rewards app. There are no instructions around adding items to a list that I could see. It couldn’t find items like bread or milk. I presume it wants a specific brand - but I don’t care which brand of milk I have. I care about the type of milk I have and its price. Gave up in disgust. Too painful to use.
Prices aren’t accurate
I want to love this app, but I am finding week to week that the prices are just not accurate compared to the supermarkets website. The prices aren’t slightly off either, they are completely wrong. Edit: even after the developers response, prices are still inaccurate today. This has been happening over a number of weeks. Bananas on the app are 0.63 cents at Aldi but on the Aldi website they are 0.45 cents as of 28/1/2026
Great App
With the cost of living at the moment, this app is saving me a lot of money. I am lucky to have three supermarkets in close proximity, so I can go to where the specials are.
Broken
Was a great app until the newest update broke it. The grocery lair disappeared which u said is fixed by logging out and back in. Did that and now it’s stuck in an endless loop telling me I’m logged in on another device and forced me to log out to try again. 🤦♂️ thanks for your solution, u made it worse.
Torn on what to rate this app
The information about prices is amazing, but the UX is horrible. It actively makes you angry and irritated. Add an item to list, shows quantity of items, click on it, empty. Search for its, again, shows it’s in the list… is there another list it should be in? You’re better off using this to compare prices and using a paper and pen, just be sure to record which store has the cheaper price. It’s a huge missed opportunity as I could easily justify paying for this app if the UX was usable. This needs to work more like the Coles app.

WiseList keeps groceries, bills and subscriptions organised. Love the app’s simplicity, but it can be a bit laggy at times. Still, it’s worth using!
App broken by stupid AI integration
Your AI integration and intrusive ads were bad enough but now the grocery list is replaced by rubbish AI prompting. I just want my grocery list. Once I find a replacement app I’m deleting yours

Great app
Great app! The grocery list with price comparison is pretty good, and the subscription list lets me know where I spent on my subscriptions. The fridge and pantry list is great for planning my meals.
Grocery List Missing
After recent update, can no longer access my grocery list :-( Can’t see any reason to keep using the app, unfortunately.
Yeah - dunno
Not a terrible idea, to be bombarded with car insurance and other offers is a bit off, especially if I have to pay if I dont want to be interruoted by a popup ever so often. Sadly, it doesnt seem there is any information on the groceries - nutriets, country of origin… Instead of using the app an an accelerator for affiliate sales, I’d like to see some more value. One more thing - say, if you were to search for ‘frozen spinach’ - the first item that actually is ‘frozen spinach’ comes up halfway down the list.
Helps to save on groceries
I love this app- purely because I can immediately compare the prices of items at Coles and Woolies- before going shopping. It really helps me save money every shop.

Saves Time - then - Wastes Time
The ability to be able to sort a list alphabetically is a basic feature in any app - so it’s disappointing you don’t have it - especially when grocery lists can have over 100 products in them. Currently, you automatically categorise them according to type. I can only sort them by specials or store. The issue is, there is no consistency. This means I waste more time than your app saves me by scrolling up and down to compare similar items. For example Biozet plus eliminator laundry capsules are under the ‘household’ category - but Biozet plus eliminator laundry liquid is under ‘cleaning category’. In between is health and beauty and baby category! If I could search alphabetically I could see them side by side, which one is on special and which one is cheaper by unit price. This applies when comparing the multitude options when purchasing a 10,20,50 or 100 pack of the same product; ie finish dishwashing.

What happened?!!
Was my favourite app for searching prices across supermarket however with the new updated and adding AI it does not do what it used to and has become useless, delete the app and move on
Used to be good now a giant advertisement
This app used to be good with a nice UI. It’s now littered with Ads and promotional stuff rather than things the user cares about. It’s incredibly hard to navigate and find things. It’s time to delete.
