Actually kind of good application and it’s good to learn about English
Boo to you
It was great app until they decided to remove chat room with ppl from all around the world and force to milk penny
Bring back Hallo to the way it was
Hope you are well. I would like to tell you that we really want the students live stream to come back as it was really great for speaking in English I know it is hard to bring back everything as you guys said you would never bring it back But just imagine every students will come back and download the app again because they really got benefits from it I’m speaking behalf of students as i have talked to many of them and every single of them really wanted it back You guys should create a learning environment where everyone gets benefits from it Hope you guys reconsider your decision according the live streams Best wishes, A Halloer🤍
🤨
I wanted to learn Portuguese and German but it only let me take one
Confused
I am trying out the AI thing with my conversational skills in German. I thought this app would help me with my sentences but it didn’t. I purposefully asked a question incorrectly and then correctly. Neither were marked incorrect. Do I have to subscribe to see just that basic thing?
When I was learning English this app helped me a lot
I love hallo
Forced to Learn Brazilian Portuguese
I downloaded this app as it said it was free language learning. It’s not. It forced me into Brazilian Portuguese, despite my selection of another language, and locked me out of all other courses. If I could give it less than one star I would.
The AI was good, but now it doesn't work well
The AI was good, but now it doesn't work well. Today, it is not working at all.
We don’t accept robot conversations
Without instamatch this app is useless. Ton of my friends left it as well as me. Because we can’t talk to an actual human randomly which is the best ever way to improve English.
Bugs
I like the overall concept. My first thought was it was better than Duolingo. Then I started taking the quizzes and I got the answers wrong because all answers were correct but I didn't know which one the bot wanted me to choose. For example, "I live in... City A, B, C, or D. Without context I have 25% chance of getting it right. Which one does it want me to choose? The second bug is that some lessons show "Error loading script" The third bug is that I sometimes I can't press the X or Skip button during an ad. Anyways, I like the app. It's just kind of buggy.
We want old hallo
Hey hallo was awesome before a year when there was live streams and we could use insta match whenever we want but nowwww there's nothing even if I want to send a msg to my friends I can'tttt I'm really sad about it please do smth about it we really want the old hallo not the one u created nowww😭😭 I'm sure after the new version u guys lose most of the hallo users I hope u guys will do smth abt it🙂👍🏻
Helppppp
I deleted my Hallo account because I don't have the time this semester, but I'll be back soon! However, I checked my bank account this morning and saw that they had debited my account for the subscription fee and I didn't have an account! Can u help me !
Excellent conversational practice!!
Great app! The AI free conversation is super helpful for learning a brand new language! I’ve been studying Portuguese about one month for my job and use Hallo’s lessons in addition to Duolingo because Duolingo is slower and better for when I only have a minute or so and for practicing pronunciation but Hallo actually helps me hear more sentences and phrases in context and much more quickly than Duolingo. I feel like I learn so many random words in Duolingo but Hallo gives me immediate conversation skills and common words and phrases I would be using in introduction situations. The AI convo pushes me to recall what I know quickly and it understands me even if my responses are broken with either a poor accent or bad grammar. The AI teacher also speaks in long sentences that help me fill in the blanks and learn more of the words and phrases I want to use. Great app!! Only give 4 stars for now because I still use it with Duolingo because I want additional help with pronunciation. I only use the free version though so if I paid for a tutor maybe that would be included.
Paywall everywhere
This used to be a greatest app.
Promising but bug heavy
This app seems promising and I’m excited to be able to actually use it. In its current state, I cannot do any lesson without it going back to the main screen. It does the same for the role play selections, even in multiple different languages. The farthest I could get was two responses and then it would send me back to the Home Screen. Once app is actually useable beyond this I would love to come back and give it 5 stars, for now, I’ll remain at 3 with the hope it will be resolved quickly.
Excellent app
I am so grateful to this application
Doesn’t work
I tried using the AI free for all and the system just crapped out. The three dots just kept flashing and nothing happened, then when I left and tried to go back in it asked me to subscribe… doesn’t seem worth it
One to one talk
Nowadays it's not working well i am able to connect with anyone please resolve this problem.
a person need instamatch
Please bring back free instamatch 😭🙏🏼
it was good application
i started using this app its been year and i am was very happy to talk with friends and now they are changing features we can't talk on private calls and instamatch. it was very good for learners why they removed all these and now my friends and me we all are going to uninstall this app and many people are not going to use .
Love it!
Use this to learn Spanish fast!
“Sorry something went wrong, please try again”
It worked for free for the 5 minutes daily limit. But after I paid for it this is all I receive as a response. Great idea, hopefully another company does this so I have something that works Edit: I found another app that works — TalkPal. Hallo wouldn’t work most days, TalkPal has no issues.
Review
Nice app but some network issues and advertising affects your learning experience.
Free instamatch is not possible
I would like to inform u that, free instamatch option is not showing. Only able to do AI and with a tutor options. And also not able to do the instamatch.
Voice message is not working
App is all good But please fix the problem of voice message. I’m unable to send voice message to others
Great app for learning languages
This is the best app to learn a language
Poor UX
A good idea, but asks for money immediately after you select a translation. And I am 100% against filters for adults when conversing with an AI in the privacy of my home. That I am paying for. But the number one reason I cannot recommend is the UI and overall design is very basic and poor. And it's expensive. Anyway, I would will not be paying for an app that seems half- baked, and not ready yet.
Useful application
While using this app my device got heat and when I start my livestream it shutdown suddenly. And by the way this app is very useful to improve English language fluently
Like the concept of the product but the execution is poor
The teacher didn’t show up on scheduled 1on1 class and there were no any notifications or messages regarding the cancellation, no refund either.
Live session from Students
I have been using this for 5 months and have had a very good experience having such type of platform but I am a bit disappointed when the hop-on session from students had been stopped. It's my request to start the student live session soon. We can not afford such a high price from the experienced faculty.
Great app!!
The AI function works really well and gives me a chance have a conversation in Spanish when I don’t have anyone around to speak with.
The ruined the app
Hallo doesn't respect the user the stopped the feature of talking with random people for free and make it only paid with tutors what a bad idea did u done hallo ??
Uncomfortable app
I would like inform you that whenever I am clicking on get started isn’t getting start I would request you kindly fix this issue
Hi
Good evening 🌹 Can you add group calls like before coz it was realy nice.but with teachers it really not so nice, can you add group call please.
First my opinion
I think the apps is good, I want to use more
Complaint
The only cool thing about this app was the instaMatch and students’ livestreams, but unfortunately you have removed these two awesome features. Hope to get them back
Report
I was a regular user of hallo for over 4 years But I’ve uninstalled it recently since they have removed insta match which was the only reason that i had been using this app for. I guess you gonna regret this cause majority of users are gonna leave Hallo for such update.
Crash
Hello Team, your application crashes after open in iPhone 11 Pro version 14.4, please check and resolve it
Worst update
First version of this app was brilliant , we can find good speakers very fast but now it’s difficult to even connect with anyone.
Recommendation
Would be I good idea as part of the plus membership add InstaMatch through Laptop/PC Also the application never has showed me anyone from US.
Life changing!
I’m actually a teacher on Hallo and I can’t say enough about it. Meeting the most amazing people from all around the world has been life changing. Teaching English on Hallo has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life and it just keeps getting better. The culture on Hallo is positive and engaging.. watch out, it’s addicting.. in a really good way!
Too many ads
Once upon a time this app was great. Nowadays it doesn’t have the feature instamatch.
This app is very an impressive so we need practice To some one
