A bit of everything
I love being able to customize my profile to get different types of scent recommendations. I’ve found a new favorite and will be ordering a full size! During special birthday months, I tailor the scent profile to match people I love, and it hasn’t disappointed. I’ve also taken advantage of the bundle sales in preparation for Christmas (the John Wick gift kit is great and smells amazing!). I know these are going to be a big hit as stocking stuffers.

Good app, terrible shipping times
The cologne tend to be highly over priced for the amount of ml you’re given. I’ve made two monthly purchases and none of them arrived in the month they claim to be for. For an example you select a fragrance for months in advance, the one I’ve chosen for August hasn’t arrived and we’re towards the end of the month, the last fragrance took 7 weeks to arrive. Other than this the fragrance is really nice, I’m very impatient and would prefer to spend that extra money for a full bottle of parfum/cologne as you’ll be getting much more if your moneys worth!
Possible improvements
I love my Scentbird subscription and being able to add different fragrances to my queue. I wish there was a way to heart your favorite fragrances and see all of the fragrances you add to the queue. It currently only allows you to see 36 and if I want to rearrange my fragrance and bring a recently added fragrance from the bottom of the queue to the top I can’t. I have to delete some of the choices just to see the recently added fragrance and I don’t want to have to to that..

HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE
I got a defective spray, reached to their AI BOT and it suggested that I sent an email. I did just that and a week later no response whatsoever I reached back out and they guided me through the same process, can’t reach a human. Threatened BBB and suddenly my replacement was sent that same day. Canceling is insanely complicated as well

As a person who like buying big packages of perfume, I am saving a lot with Scentbird
Feels predatory
I won’t say it’s a scam, but they definitely do what they can to make it difficult to understand your total. It’s not like you create a cart for the month and check out, it makes you pay before you select any fragrance. Then, the fragrance you’re likely interested cost more again. Also, if you’re in Canada it charges in usd. So despite it saying $8 for my first month, I got 2 +$15 fragrances and paid $70 cad. A little surprising. I think they know they’d get less sales if they were up front with pricing so they make it convoluted intentionally.
Verify phone
App won’t open for me, or opens to verify phone and then refreshes. This has been going on for two days now.

They’re joking half they will give your money back at all. I’ve been waiting for three days. No response. Do not order nothing from them. They’re the biggest scam biggest fraud.
Can’t stop looking at perfumes
Awesome app, I love fancy perfumes and this is an amazing way to do it, especially since it is an affordable way to try out nice fancy perfumes, or something you can give away as a gift. I have a monthly subscription set up and I am super excited to get my scents!!

Unable to unsubscribe
Don’t give them your credit card information I have been trying to unsubscribe but they just keep telling me I can “take a break” instead of letting me unsubscribe! Use a gift card or something because they make it insanely difficult to unsubscribe and take off your card so they can’t charge it.
Unavailable tracking
I love Scentbird! I’ve used it on and off since 2021. The only downside I’ve noticed since restarting my subscription is that tracking is not available. Hit the “Track It” button for your order and nothing happens, regardless of where it is in the shipping process; it’s a ghost button. You need to manually copy the tracking number and paste it into a browser to see where its progress is. If the developers fixed this it would be basically flawless.

Theres a lot better apps if you want to get a dupe of a scent without a subscription I paid 30 bucks for the double subscription then cancelled the subscription a couple weeks later and i never got the 2 scents i paid 30 dollars for, reason i cancelled it was i didnt want it to charge another 30 I got 1 scent when i first got the app for 8 bucks it was a nice scent and the diffuser was cool but i dont like the subscription thing at all

Hard to cancel membership
Sent several emails trying to cancel this service. Was charged again this month for something I didn’t want. Finally got it cancelled. I don’t recommend this company.
Terrible company!
Don’t bother with this company at all! I had to block them from emailing me and harassing me after I cancelled because they told me to go ask all my neighbors where my package was for a few dollars worth of fragrance instead of just shipping out another box. Rude customer service!!!

First order was done correct at 17$ the Versace cologne seamed watered down the smell didn’t last Long second order wasn’t labeled for any extra charges but was billed 36$ for monthly feee I reached out to support no Response just go buy a bottle not Worth it

Subscription problems
It was an impulse buy so i subscribed for like 2 months before wanting to cancel it but when it said i canceled it- it skipped one month and charged me again. So i went in and tried to cancel it again making damn sure i didn’t press skip a month and it did it again. Today I woke up to another charge to my account and when i went in AGAIN to cancel it will only give me a choice to skip a month. This company is a scam.

They overcharged me my second month and didn’t send the products for the subscription I purchased in advance for my mom. Not recommended also if you break down the price of a full bottle not that good of a deal.
Great idea, but missing key personalisation
I really like the concept of the app and even added my subscription. However, when I search for perfumes, most of the recommendations seem to be for women. There’s no option to filter by gender, which is quite frustrating. It makes me unsure whether I’ll actually receive products that match my profile and preferences. Adding a gender filter would really improve the experience.

Hope we can reorder the same scent since some of the scents smells so good.

The options they offer are cheap perfume and canceling is a mission. Just save yourself from the stress and don’t join/purchase.
Gone Downhill
I thought this was a cool idea when I first found it, not a terrible price to try a new scent every month, or even just a scheduled delivery of your signature scent, if you have one. I recently resubscribed though, and it seems they’ve completely redesigned their perfume bottles to cut costs. I would much rather have received an email stating they “had to raise prices due to inflation” like everyone else did. The new cases are reminiscent of the crappy unbranded toys that come with a happy meal, and they are now packing the perfume in a sealed bottle. The whole system seems very disposable, where it was previously far more eco-friendly. The old style had very sleek, elegant cases with a perfume bottle insert that is completely reusable; the lid unscrewed from the bottle for refilling. I’m currently regretting not using this subscription more in the past, because I certainly won’t be using it in the future.

My first delivery
I began my account with Scentbird and a week later, I received my first package. The package is well sealed and it comes with postcards about the fragrances you’ve chosen. She smells of each bottle is amazing. It’s a great amount and it comes with one case
Multiple and Unwanted Credit Card Charges
I keep getting multiple charges on my card, and I don’t have auto-pay. Not only that, but it’s multiple charges sometimes in one day!! I haven’t even reactived my subscription for a few months now. And although my card has been charged, I haven’t even been getting anything sent to me!! That’s why I didn’t notice my card was being charged until physically checking my bank statements.

It’s been a month and my missing order still hasn’t been fixed
I had my monthly subscription at the beginning of the month and I was supposed to get the perfume weeks ago they said they shipped a replacement but still haven’t seen that either and I’m getting the run around with AI and can’t get any real help supposedly a ticked had been created but it’s been a week and nobody has tried to contact me do not use Scentbird unless you have extra money you can afford to lose because you won’t get it back if your order never shows up.
Not worth it, unfortunately
If you are a perfume aficionado I would avoid this service. The selections are only so-so, and for the price you could invest in several decants rather than getting one large, very expensive (comparatively), non-refundable sample. Heck, you could even buy a full sized perfume from Sephora, try that a few days, and then return it for a full refund if you really wanted to. I wound up cancelling my subscription after realizing it just wasn’t worth the money for what I was receiving. I give it two stars because I can see it being a good gift for someone just stepping their toes into the world of perfume.
