High herostone requirements for legendaries held this game back.
This game’s team design is good. Each species has a unique identity and style with personalities that play into abilities. However, every team is missing its essential core mechanic because the “legendary hero” is impossible to obtain for most of the game. The “legendary hero” takes 200 to 350 herostones to summon as opposed to 25 for many others. So he does not grow with rest of the team. This makes the default gameplay for each species dull compared to how it was designed. Worse, you cant farm that hero by leveling up others of HIS species, you have to level up heroes of a DIFFERENT species. For example, you need full army of 5 star ORCs to farm the legendary HUMAN. You need goblins to farm the legendary Elf. How stupid! 😡 Worse x2, the legendary hero events are season gated and often unavailable for weeks! These irritating limitations prevent you from getting essential team synergy pieces for most of the game and you cant enjoy complex mechanics that ARE DESIGNED! There are plenty of other limitations like ability scrolls and level up materials and money, to create a sense of progression. If the legendary heroes were readily available like all others, this game would be immensely popular and widespread, given the fun mechanics that most people never get to touch.

Fun game but horrendous loading
Fun game ,however many on it say they have stopped really working on it .you get four areas and about twelve plays to each area and they have not increased this and don’t really add extra challenges .also the bad thing is it runs ok for a couple days then hits relaunch screen over and over again,freezes and says contact them and u do and it still is an issue .so makes it unplayable t a degree daily of can’t launch it .shame they gave up ,had potential but its relaunch screen error and lack of updates means it’s better to invest else where

А сегодня игра сообщила, что все, мол, утомилась я искать этот игровой сервер, пойду посплю. Причем ник игрока загружается сразу а к серверу не подключается. Бядааа…

The game is fun and looks great but when I seen I had to use premium currency to upgrade my heroes skills then I gotta uninstall. Sucks cause I actually do like it and even spent a few bucks on it.

Game needs some life brought back into it
I recently played this and genuinely I had a good time, I got tired of logging in and being hounded with packs to buy every single day. There’s certain character mechanics that are really fun to play around with. But with no real update in over a year bringing content into this game it’s just a shelf game now that I will log into one a day/ once a week/ once a month for a change of pace just waiting and hoping the devs do more with this game. We only really have three other options for this type of game since ‘LOTR Heroes of Middle Earth’ shut down, and that’s ‘Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes’ ‘marvel strike force’- which is extremely pay to play and lost its touch over the years and ‘raid shadow legends’ somewhat different than the other options but too different for me so it got dropped in less than a week of playing. I like this game and wanna see it succeed. Either bring life into the game or kill the servers
Devs gave up years ago
This was a decent game 5 years ago. Nothing has changed in 2-3 years. Everyone quit. Don’t spend a penny or waste time playing.
Great rework of the horrid gacha genre
You guys did a good job at not making it too P2W and some pretty cool strategies to use. I just couldn’t get into your character design. Too childish and not “cool” enough for me personally. I wish I could like them, I would play the game more. But that’s a big thing for me, especially when there’s a decent amount of auto. Good luck building this out, this is a solid game.
Not bad, but not that great either.
I am going to be brutally honest here and say that even with my reservations about the game that it isn't that bad. With that said, I'll turn my attention now on the only problem that I've had. Namely the guild question that one person gave me a solution that I wasn't aiming for on your Facebook group. My question still remains, how do I leave a guild without going into another? Please give me a satisfactory answer so that I can move forward in your game at my own pace and leisure.

Good- variety of clans and will take quite a while to max them out unless you’re willing to spend a ton of cash Bad- no new content. Raids, challenges, nothing new. Can’t sell equipment or artifacts. It’s like the devs are content with what they’ve got and are unwilling to update in any way. Update for response - let us sell equipment and artifacts. How about some new content? Mixing the clans
enjoy the game and yes it can be a grind at some times trying to develop all the races and clans. Are you planning on doing a few half breeds. One that are mixed ( say dwarf mixed with elf) they can be played with rather clan depending on the needs? Not talking about the half pigs or allow them to be played as pig or dwarf. You get the idea. Also maybe expanding the level last 80. All those expansions going to waist.

Beautifully rendered game. But you hit the inevitable “pay to play” wall in a hurry with this one..... Unlocking and developing characters would be thousands if we paid for the whole range. Nice game, great potential, maybe after the developers kids are all through medical school, and all of their mistresses have their own yachts the price for the next game will be more reasonable.

Fun and Addictive RPG
First, I want to say the customer support is great. I wanted to start fresh so I asked them via email to delete my old account so I could make a new one. They were courteous and professional, and took care of this for me quickly. I really like the game. Plenty of things to do, in-app purchases offer great deals with a variety of price points to suit your personal budget - not overpriced as a lot of mobile game shops are. No video ad watching, which is great. The pop up ads are sometimes annoying and a bit much, but I understand they need to solicit business to keep things running. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience and will continue to support this game.
Game won’t launch
This game used to be pretty good. The characters were obtainable and there were certain challenges that players in a guild would lament and overcome. That was about 7 years ago. The game grew and more “heroes” were added, I suppose to give more challenges since many of us were leveling off the characters. Then the developers decided to add more gear and such that aren’t easily obtainable without purchasing help. At this point, many of the players, myself included, are frustrated weekly because the game keeps failing to launch. There’s a biweekly “event” and oddly enough, the crashes increase often during these events so we can’t compete and can’t get rewards. We contact the developers and there is only the canned reply “we’re aware of the issue” or lately there is not even that. The game changed hands at some point and it seems that the purchaser just wants to sell in app “coins” for profit. There is no apparent updates and I’m sure this review will get some developer reply saying “things take time”. Well that’s all fine and good, however I know many die hard players that have given up and found other faves because this one has turned sour.
Great game, some small issues
Played swgoh in the past, quit due to the game becoming p2w (more like pay to compete). Played this game for about a year and quit because of real life and boredom. Recently returned and instantly became addicted again. The farms aren’t particularly fun, grinding tower/tournaments that are super limited to my roster can be annoying. Plus the offer spams when you first open the game for the first time is very annoying. But other than that, it’s great that they have the offers in the first place for those who don’t mind spending, and almost all of the characters are viable/useable in some way. All of the characters feel unique to me. And I really like the way the resource system works, they hand out a good amount of free energy/passive income of dracoins (gems/crystals/cash shop currency) that really helps boosts progression. Really feels like I get a decent amount of progress each day I open the game. Currently using Zerra lead, garn, sabator, trom, and hardorc team. The grinding for the legendary herostones is tedious for sure, but the payoff is a huge bonus for me. The feeling of getting a 7 star hardorc is something that I can’t wait for (currently at 3 stars). Nothing is more fun then nuking enemy teams with Zerra + Garn combo aoe. Also working on a panda team with Kin lead, rin, qi, lei, and shao. Pandas aren’t as fun as orcs (for the stage that I’m at, about 10k power/gear 8-9) but I’m still enjoying them. Tldr; only issues I have with the game is the offer spam (only when you first open the game, especially if you haven’t played in a while) and how some of the events/farming feel a little repetitive and tedious. Other than that, the game is 100% worth a shot if you’re into hero collector games. Or even mobile games in general. If you decide to drop any money into the game, even 10 bucks will help boost your progress by a large amount.
Shame about the lack of support
The game has good foundations but as a long time player I have have seen it move away from being a great f2p game to a more p2p game. That on its own doesn’t make it disappointing, it’s the bad customer support and feedback that bring down the rating for me. Be careful.

Been “playing” for a month. I’m still doing the tutorial. Why? I’m only allowed to click the buttons the game forces me to click. After about 5-10 minutes I get bored and log off. I try again every few days and the tutorial is still going. I’m a grown man who apparently needs help to play games. Maybe one day, the tutorial will finally be finished and I can actually play the game. But at this rate. It might be months before I can update my review. Worst case scenario is the tutorial never ends. And the whole game is just a hand hold to tell a story that I stopped paying attention to a month ago.
Wish there was a 4.5 stars
Dragon Champions is a pretty decent character collector RPG and it offers plenty of ways to play. The game has a pretty good backstory and it’s characters are rather interesting, which makes up for the rather low number of characters (called champions in the game) that are in the game at present. The lower number of characters actually works for the game though, it makes battles simpler and more intuitive. The only really irritating thing about Dragon Champions is the energy system. Like most games that are similar to this one, you need “energy” to begin battles. That’s fine, but you get so little free energy that grinding out items can take weeks or even months of real time if you don’t want to buy energy. There is no shortage of PvP content in Dragon Champions and while matchmaking can be a little weird, that could be my terrible team building skills than the game’s matchmaking; nevertheless, PvE is a little disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty to do with five separate campaigns and plenty of one-off adventures that have pretty good rewards. But, with such good lore, you get the feeling the devs are leaving out opportunities to explore maze-like maps with npcs to interact with and secrets to find. Overall, Dragon Champions is a very good game, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Good base with troubling balance
I play a lot of Hero Collectors and seeing a new one like this gave me hope they’d improve on their predecessors. But nope, they have very overpowered characters like Solius and Nightiel that completely crush any other team comp. This is not fun. I really hoped the game devs would care more about game balance but seems they don’t. Solius’ kit is way overloaded it’s ridiculously. Not a good sign for future power creep.

One of the better team RPG games
Read one review that said the framing is less of a grind, as drops are frequent. Absolutely true, have been playing about a month, and make progress in the game everyday. The campaigns, tower, arenas, tournaments, just to name a few of the daily challenges, combine to keep the game fresh and moving. Great Game! A few days later, and forgot to mention how many new wrinkles are out into tournaments and arenas, there is new content daily and once you learn how to farm, upgrading champions is fast and can still be enjoyable. 45 days in now, and the best thing, can advance quickly without spending lots of money. Yes, there are many offers to buy your way, but it is not like most games that you get to a point where if you don't pay, you can't continue to advance.

Great value for money
Despite being FTP it actually has significant good value for those who want to spend a little bit extra. Compared to other hero collectors on the market and especially the big IPs like Marvel Strike Force and SW Galaxy of Heroes the value is great for Dragon Champions. The game itself plays well and is a lot of fun, and it seems like the developers actually care.
Decent
The game itself is decent, but completely unbalanced and the auto feature is garbage. My arena team loses every single fight, to teams with the EXACT same set up but with 14000 less power. Yet will finish the fight in less than a minute with all members full health.
