Week 1 Day 1
Not bad not bad. I am excited to get moving and be in less pain.
Won’t record results very frustrating!
Poor
Easy to use!
Overall I have enjoyed my experience on the app. It’s quick, easy to navigate, and clearly organized. My only issue is the quality of my uploaded videos is poor in comparison to the video being played directly from my gallery. I’d rate 4.5 overall, as video quality is a minor concern in this instance.

Great app
So easy to keep easy track of past workouts
Doesn’t let me make an account
I just downloaded the app, asked me if I was a coach or client, then asks me to sign in. No option to create an account. What am I missing??
Energy tracking
Please add energy tracker through the day
Timer
Why can’t you use the timer while flipping back and forth between lifts/sets? It also doesn’t save the reps/notes if you flip back to the main screen
Average
Would be helpful, but blips and is often down.
Awesome
Very well inform of what too do, I have bad knees, and she worked with that in mind. She is awesome!
Worst fitness app I’ve used to date
TrueCoach is good for being able to assign tasks and imbed videos and content, but it is the worst app I have used in terms of workout tracking. It is shocking that a lifting app does not have discrete fields for tracking sets, weights, and reps and provides no ability to track progress visually over time. The timer function is also terrible as you can’t use it while in the screen for logging your lift so you have to leave that section to use the timer then go back in to log what you’ve lifted. And if you try to update anything else in TrueCoach while the timer is running it will just stop functioning. I actually use a separate application (Hevy) to track all of my lifts and then transcribe them into TrueCoach for my coach to have access to which is a giant waste of time but I need the features that Hevy provides and TrueCoach sorely lacks.
New plan
This app is easy to use, has clear and understandable instructions for your exercises. First week, but I am enjoying it!
Phone space
This app takes up so much space on my phone

User Friendly
Great app so far and easy to use
Basic
This app is basic and does a horrible job of actually tracking your sets and reps. There are so many other better apps out there that allow you to input every set in every wrap and then calculate total weight lifted and create reports, etc. This app has a box to free type stuff in and that’s it. Yes you can communicate with your trainer, but every apple allows you to do that. I just don’t understand how this app survives.
Keeps logging me out
Works great but it keeps logging me out and it’s so annoying
crashes constantly
I use this app regularly with my coach and it’s close to being great but the thing crashes constantly. I can’t click on comments on a session within the app without it all going down. Fix it.
Ok
It’s an ok app, but it signs me out every couple days. Like, why? It’s my pt app, not my bank. Leave me signed in my goodness.
Review
Love the app. Only thing I’d change is to add a dashboard for number of workouts you’ve completed and a streak count for how many you’ve completed in a row. Try to gamify the workouts
Constant maintenance
This app sucks several times mid program it logs me out because the site is down for maintenance. When it works it works good but at what cost? I pay my coach a lot of money and the app is great when it works but I’m tired of being logged out for maintenance.
Great App, No Draft
This app seems to have thought of everything and is great to use. The only annoyance is no drafting features. If you type something in your workout section and go to any other screen in the app it blows out all comments. Fix this and it’s basically an ideal and flawless training app
Buggy text search
App is flexible and works well but fails with workout history. Workout history looks for text string matches in previous records but more often than not either fails to find a partial string match at all or returns results like ‘front squat’ for a search of ‘bench press’. So you probably still need your notebook after all to log your sets and reps. Near miss … easy fix … would make this app 5star.
Timer
Would be great if had built in timer!

AI could do 10x better
Not much better than spreadsheets. Could build a better app with Ai. Not even being able to track reps is laughable. Also the app recently has been down due to server issues.
Sign in issues
Erratic problems signing in
Weights and reps should be logged in a structured format
Logging my weights and reps is just a text box and should be structured fields so that we can create a database and graph my progression over time, like Train Heroic does.
Great when it works
This app crashes a lot. Sometimes I have to look for my exercises through my email.
Truly GᖇᗩTEᖴᑌᒪ
So grateful for TrueCoach, my Coach and for NUDJ Health…I’m beyond blessed that God directed me to NUDJ, they choose a coach for me who words could never could never justly express how amazing she is and she brought me to TrueCoach!
Meh
No dark mode, no enlarged font.
Rest periods between sets
Would love a feature to incorporate 60-90sec rest timers/periods in between workout sets.
Meh
I really don’t like this app. I only use it because of my coach. It constantly logs me out or crashes, then sometimes takes 5/6 (or more) attempts to log back in. I hope my coach switches to another app soon 😒
Doesn’t work well all the time
I’ve been using cheer coach for a little over a year now. As of recently, the app has not been fully functional. And having issues with the video instructions showing up on the app. When I go to the messages portion of the app occasionally I am unable to move away from that portion of the app.
True Strength program
App is user friendly and easy to track work your whole training program.
usage
it doesn't let you create an account i tried with both emails and never received anything, don't get it 0/10 don't recommend.
First Time By Myself
A little sloppy, but it’s a process. The app will get easier w/time. It’s helpful when there is voice as well as visual.
Could be much better
I’m a client using this app an it is very clunky and frustrating. I hate using it but my PT makes me use. Generally it is not an intuitive app. There are a lot of different sections you have to click on to rather than things just being in the same area. 1. The workouts shouldn’t be split into “upcoming/past”. Rather than just scrolling up and down for the workouts, you have to mess around with clicking upcoming or past. Then go searching for the workout. 2. There should be an option at the end of each workout for additional notes. Instead of tapping the “messages icon” then taping AGAIN to type. Also this is annoying for when u have to look back on any messages 3. When u do type a message under an exercise, it keeps the message number in the icon as though it’s a new message . 4. There should be an option to send a voicey 5. There should be an area where the PT could just upload each full workout like in a doc so client can easily open the app & go to the workout they are planning that day. It’s not overly helpful for the PT to have to add each workout into a specific day as people’s schedules aren’t always that rigid.
Needs an update
Have to force close when in messages cuz you can’t hit the back button. Red dot shows up for unread messages but there are none.
Great start!
Felt good, no problems, great guidance.
Login Issues
Can’t get logged in after updating app, password reset UX/UI is poor.
Rep Max
It would be nice if the app asked for max and Keller with calculations for exercises
Issue when trying to type chats
I don’t think it’s compatible with iPhone 17 as since I updated my iPhone the chat text keeps predicting mid word and messing what I’m trying to type. Really frustrating
Would be helpful
Could you add a tick box for reps?
Rcouture workout #1
Excellent environment, instruction is very thorough and professional. Muchas gracias Alejandro
Only good if you’ve never used anything else
I really hate TrueCoach. I’m a coach and I started out using it before switching to Trainerize— which is a day and night difference and huge improvement that every single client of mine commented on. From the coaches side there’s just not much you can do with it and it doesn’t offer a lot of features compared to comparable apps. I also receive coaching and my coach uses TrueCoach and I have literally almost stopped working with her because I hate this app so much… it regularly takes multiple attempts to get videos to upload to send to her, the app crashes all the time, doesn’t remember what weights I used last time (Trainerize does), and I absolutely hate the way videos play on this. Signs me out every single time I use it… Garbage.
The app is almost perfect except for….
I just started using this app as trainee with a coach uploading programs for me, the app is almost perfect my only suggestion would be if a timer option is added for each exercise which automatically uploads the exercise duration, since some of my exercises are time based. The other issue, some tutorial videos do not work in the app version while it works fine in browser version. Thanks again for the great app
Fix predictive text bug
Not a great user experience. In particular the bug which means that predictive text automatically types itself into the message field is so unbelievably infuriating, leaves me wanting to use a different app to communicate with my coach.
Buggy App (Great when it works)
I’ve been using TrueCoach for 4 years and fundamentally it’s an all-round easy to use app. The major frustration I have with it; and something that’s been going on for years, is the quality of the development team. Obviously I have no idea as to why this is but EVERY time they do an update, bugs appear throughout the app. Up until recently, there hadn’t been an app update for 8 months (yes, 8 months!). They then finally released an update with ‘bug fixes’ and consequently created a whole host of new bugs as a result. Since that initial update, there has been 2 subsequent updates; each trying to resolve the first, within a week. Ironically, 2 years ago they ‘completely redesigned’ the app to make it easier to develop on and equally, to ensure bug fixes are made more quickly. Whatever the case, the app is very buggy and customer support gives you the same spiel every time. Their developers need to be held more accountable as this quality of work is very poor!
