( major review update ) Good idea to make people want to buy the full game
First of I want to say the graphics On this game are TOP quality, and the amount of ads makes sense, one thing, the reason most people ( including me ) don’t buy the full game pack is because we have absolutely no clue, sure it tells you how many maps and ships with no ads which is nice, but you don’t show the ships or the maps, a good idea is on the final check in the same Ken that gives you the battleship 1 trophy you can get a special item where you can go into 1 map and you have to do something interesting to be able to get back, or only for a limited amount of time in the new map until you are pulled back to the starter map, and possibly you have to watch an absurd amount of ads like 10 ads to be able to get 1 of those items qnd you can only do it once a week, so you can get the money from the ads and players get to see a sneak peak of the maps. Also, 1 more thing, a while back I was just going through the middle area of the map when I got jumped by 5 pirate vesicles and it actual surprised me and I actually had real fun battling them. I didn’t even know that could happen! Could you make it so depending of how much bad reputation you have with a fraction the bigger the surprise attacks and the more often it happens? For example: if you are at -100 surprise attack by 3 ships mostly xebecs, -200 to -400 3 ships but mostly barks -500 to -800 4 frigates ships. -900 5 ships mostly frigates with 1 battleship 1. I just want to give a shout out to the animation team for a free game and I mean holly molly! I just want to say this is a recommendation from a veteran player who has been playing the game for over 2 years. Thank you!
Fun Game But Super Janky and Unbalanced
This game needs major revamping. First, the "Order Islands" are super unbalanced. The pirate guns have aimbot. I try to zigzag and they still hit. I try hiding behind objects and sometimes they shoot THROUGH objects. And they do so much damage and there's a ton of them. Clearly you didn't play it or test it to make it fair. It's so frustrating that it almost ruins the game for me cause the stop over quest is nearly impossible when they hit me 90% of the time, and going back to heal just respawns the enemies. Also you need to fix ally ships bombing you after a boarding battle is over. It's been years now, there's no excuse of these things to not be fixed by now. The controls/camera is super janky and it will randomly freak out/throw itself in a random direction. Seriously, fix the issues already! This game is fun but the problems are so major that it ruins the gaming experience.

If you like watching ads over playing the game then look no further than tempest, if you love pirate games then Sea Of Conquest is your game. Yes it used to be pay to win but now you can play without spending any money to have fun and upgrade your ship to compete with big spenders!
Good game but
This is a cool game and all but when I completed the emperor’s daughter quest, it said to take care of her and her portrait implies she’s an officer. Problem is, I filled all the officer slots beforehand so I don’t think I got her. Is there a way to fix this? I’m curious what her effects are. UPDATE: Just a different captain. Found out when I went to go board a ship. What’s the difference?
Original App is good, DLC is very bad
The original app is really good! I liked it so much, I got the DLC also, but the missions are way too hard for a phone app, especially where you have to go on land and fight 10 pirates with a sword and a pistol that takes 8 seconds to reload a single shot and no way to generate your health.
Good game but definitely needs work
I like this game but please explain to me why I can only use the speed up tool with the grim reaper ship and why I only have infinite morale on that ship

Crash and crash again
Might be a fun game but I can't play it without it crashing every 3 minutes. I have a brand new iPhone 17 Pro Max and yet this crashed 4 times. Uninstall. Waste of time.

New update broke the game. It needs to be fixed asap
I’ve been playing the game for years, I even tried to get the full version but couldn’t due to the game’s bugs. But now I can’t even log in for more than 2 seconds without the game crashing. I’ve never had issues before and I’m on an IPhone 11.

It a great game I seen another review about factions and fleets which sounds amazing but great game so far but my only problem is my game keeps crashing after a while so im resetting data and uninstalling and reinstalling when it crashes before I can get to the settings

Worth the money
The game is actually pretty good, it may have issues in certain phones but I personally have never had a problem with the game crashing or any game breaking bugs, the gameplay is fun and interactive, ship battling is fun, battling their crew is fun, it’s a fun game. My only complaint which isn’t a true complaint is the graphics and model physics could be a bit better, they’re great for what they are but there’s still room for improvement! 4.5/5!!
Great game until…
I really like this game, but I’ve been playing for a few days and now I seem to be stuck in port with no way to resolve the issue but deleting my game and starting again (my hold is not overloaded). If anyone knows how to resolve this bug please do let me know.
Great game but…
This is a great game. I used to play it on my old iPad from a few years ago. I got a new iPad and this is the first game I downloaded (unfortunately my saved progress didn’t come over but oh well). Started playing and everything ran smoothly until I completed a mission and then started getting hints that a new mission was coming (Ghost ships appearing) when the app started crashing. I deleted the app and reloaded it and once the ghost ships messages started the app started crashing again. Now its unplayable unless I delete and reload; and I’m not going to keep doing that. I thought about upgrading to the paid version, but I don’t know if it is a completely different game or the same just “premium” and if so if it will transfer my progress to it… so I’m stuck with an app that keeps crashing. I’d rank higher if it wasn’t so glitchy. Otherwise it is a very fun game.

Can’t finish tasks
I upgraded to full version and everything, but there is a lot of tasks, like Crystal of Death, Favor to Themis, Blockade, specially the ones I have to “board a enemy ship”. When I go to the place sometimes there is no ship, sometimes I can’t board the ship for some reason, or even if I do, it doesn’t clear the task. The task gem research requests 7 weak stones but I could find only 6 in the map. Really upsetting cause I actually enjoy the game itself

Great game but…
The game is great but after a while the game crashes on me so idk what’s happening but I know myself that might be a bug or my phone but if it is a bug please fix it the game is so good.
Nope
You are so crippled in so many ways with the free version. You are forced to watch an insane amount of adds. The fighting is just not that fun. Boarding ships is a nightmare you have to run over cannons and places that don’t even have ramps to get to the other ship. It’s honestly a junk game and it really forces you to buy the full game by pressuring you and I hate that.

Ok at first
At first I thought it was a amazing but as soon as I bought something I needed the full version to equip the item. Plus the full version which is $11.00
1st person is messed up
Great game, love nearly everything about it so far, but 5 days ago the update messed up 1st person (boarding and such), you can’t fire the gun at longer ranges anymore since you need to « lock » the target and it won’t do this past a couple meters. It also refocuses the camera every time you swing your sword and sometimes turns your camera around for no reason, the old 1st person mechanics were really nice, if you could bring them back it’d be 5 stars for sure!

garbage, upside down lol
lol... yeah i rebooted it right in the garbage can... first problem i seen is the game is upside down and doesnt rotate so after holding the fone the other way from how i normally play i noticed i cant sail, this lasted 3 minutes before i said screw it
Game crashes…
I saw other comments mentioned about game crashes as well, so here just to confirm that it happens with my device as well. Great game, but recently I could never log onto it for more than a minute. I’m playing it on the latest iOS.
A bit too much pay-to-play
The game feels unfinished since so much of it is locked behind a paywall, I like how you can alter the difficulty and explore the sea but practically 70% of the game is locked behind a paywall, I get the devs have to make money somehow but it feels unfinished, I can’t get immersed for long before being presented with a paywall, please add more free things. And having trading be a key way to make money would be nice, by buying something from one place and selling it for more at another. Edit:ik it’s a demo but for the love of god at least allow non-paying-players to BUY OTHER SHIPS. You can’t leave out an important mechanic like that even in a demo!
General thoughts
I love the game, it’s amazing. The only thing i would like to be fixed is ( faction description) Easy difficulty actually working and not switching back to medium. Better fighting controls, using rocks as cover should be working not passing right trough.

Good but could be much better
I never pay for games but after playing the free version for a couple of weeks I actually paid to open up two more maps! However it could be much better, quite a few bugs, very few people in tournament mode, more varied tasks. I was hopeful when the latest update came out some of the bugs might be fixed but they seem to have created some new ones, why don’t some pistols work now? I don’t think I’ll be paying to open any more maps.
Helicopter ships!? Since when!
I start up the game, load into the first battle, and my ship is spinning faster than a helicopter! What sorcery is this!? I continue into the second battle, same thing. I know this is a game but heck, what did you do to make them sentient?
Needs voice communication
This game is great but it needs more development with the multiplayer mode. Being able to communicate through voice is a must!

Best pirate game out there!
First of all! I love this game! Who doesn’t like a pirate game? With swords clashing, pistols firing and cannons booming. Is the best pirate game in terms of ships battles, looting, hand to hand combat, quests and so much more! If anyone is a pirate fan I would highly recommend this!! I think that for £7.99 is a decent price! I’ve seen that for a game of this quality some companies would charge £11, but for £7.99 it’s decent. There is some issues that I would like to point out to help and maybe add some ideas to improve the games enjoyment. An issue I have is... it’s all about ships! There’s no combat or even treasure hunting on land... without this some people might leave the game sooner as it’s a little repetitive fighting ships all the time. So please! Maybe add 4/5 quests that would take the crew to an island looking for some special items or treasure to sell/enhance the ship and players combat or even to kill a certain character like a bounty... some quests on land to give the players more to explore and experience. I love the ship customisation! It’s has vast range of styles! From a ghost ship... to a more pirate ship or a crusader ship... etc etc. I would love to see more customisation of the crew! The grim reaper (a ship you can capture and keep on the full version) has a unique crew skin that makes them look zombified, there is also a skeleton crew on the Flying Dutchmen! So maybe try and implement that into a customisation for players to change there crews appearance or maybe colour and style of there clothes at least... this can be done for the captain(players) as well. Furthermore I would like to see maybe some animations for the ships! With the ghost(Returners) skin you could implement something like... it rise from the water(like the Flying Dutchmen out of pirates of the Caribbean movies), maybe some sound effects as well... just to makes things more spooky on players adventures! Lastly I would like to see some different weathers like.... fog and maybe some events that change the seas to more violent and maybe a massive whole in the ocean like from pirates of the Caribbean 🥴😋 Maybe thanks!
