I love the game I’ve been playing for years but I recently downloaded to my phone and started back playing it the only problem I’m facing it won’t let me repair the ship in combat like I have everything I need to repair it but it tell me to go to premium shop to buy a repair kit that’s why I’m giving it a four star

Peccato ma è ripetitivo
Dopo un giorno e mezzo ho finto tuta la storia ed è un peccato, le navi più fighe sono in shop ma non mi stupisco del fatto, le missioni secondarie sono tutte uguali, ok prendi tutti i porti e tutto e poi non che dice ti da in premio qualcosa nulla. Le navi principali si carine. Peccato che la storia ha una così breve durata, e che di Davy Jones neanche l’ombra 2 stelle per grafica bella e gamplay carino anche perché c’è il kraken. Needs more small ships gameplay
I enjoy this game but. The small ships gameplay is so limited and the difficulty level scales so fast that you can’t really get out there with your Buddies in a Sloop/Ketch and raid a sugar merchant.

No direction no tutorial
I’m sure this game could be amazing but stuck with no guidance around the options and functions is painful. Trying to even engage in combat is pointless as a newbie or rookie. You can maneuver and shoot all day long and barely nick the opposing ships. Give some breadcrumbs for less experienced players for Pete’s sake.
Great new features, but missing features..
I have to say…I’m very glad this game is free. To have a mobile game be better than a lot of console or PC games is a very rare thing. This game and it’s prequel (Carribean Hunt) are so fleshed out and cover mostly all bases when it comes to Open World Caribbean sailing. There are some gripes I have but there are many praises I have with this franchise. Let’s get the bad news first please. Cons: We’ll talk about this game only first. (1. The game is very outdated compared to the prequel. Caribbean Hunt is on Version 10.0 while this is still on 2.9. (2. Swashbuckler Adventures (basically send out one of your ships on a revenue-earning adventure with risk of sinking) is not a thing in this game but it is on Caribbean Hunt. It would do us a good favor to bring it back. (3. The one major thing I wished was a feature, is ON-FOOT exploration and roaming. The only time we’re on foot is to find treasure on specifically marked islands, and even then we’re limited to walk in straight n’ narrow paths. I wish we were able to walk around on the ship or even fight during boarding, like the game Tempest does. And I wish the times we can enter the Tavern were also on foot. I’m not saying the game is bad without it, because it sure is great the way it is, but it would be a very good addition. (4. This is probably the most minor. (Spoilers ahead for the beginning of the game.) When you first capture Wicked Deeds you have the skull figurehead on your ship. For me, after some time the Figurehead disappeared, and now I can’t re-add it since it was a Premium item, even though the ship came with it. Now, for the pros of this game. (1. It treats the entire world as an Open-World. You can leave port by weighing anchor and immediately sail out into the giant world without any cuts or loading screens. The only time there is a loading screen is for the Title Menu or fast-travelling. (2. The voice acting is spot on. The crew is really informative about your surroundings, as they should be. There was only one line I was confused about though and that is when the ship’s bow is directly in towards where the wind is blowing. (3. The game is very accurate. Wind is an active mechanic in the game and you need to rely on it. It also changes direction during play, and wind speed is also a thing. (4. The game details the ships very well. I love looking at the ships and their intricate design. Someone really took the time to make these ships look the best they can be. (5. There’s no limit (that i have seen) on how many ships you can have or sail with at a time. Caribbean hunt this wasn’t the case. (6. There’s no “internet connection” requirement to play. That is amazing to me and many others. To Teresa Dymek and anyone else affiliated, “The Pirate” is an amazing franchise and I hope to the bottom of my heart that you can keep it alive and healthy. Thank you for taking the time and reading this lengthy mouth-full of a review. (Sorry it’s 4 stars…waiting for updates!)
Been a long time
So many have commented before on what can be improved in the game. Personally I like the Caribbean Hunt better. Things that could improve the game: A way to farm resources. In CH you can tax brothels and churches and gambling dens to earn a nice steady stream. PoD doesn’t have anything like that. Having plantations or others ways to earn a little income would make it easier to fight and upgrade ships. More to the storyline is a must. I would like to see more voodoo magic and weapons available. Magic cannon balls and such would be cool. I have mixed feelings about the captains. I’m not a huge fan that ships without a captain only function at 60%, and that functions like using bombs or oil and such are not available to ships without the captain with that ability. I think having the captains provide boosts is a good idea, but it should make the ship 110+% and not 100%. I think an upgrade idea that would be interesting is if upgrades cost resources in addition to gold. This would make resources more valuable. This would also be used in building ships. I personally like the privateer option in CH, so if you could add it that would be great. I like the ship selection from CH, which are not all available in PoD. Please add. Can you also add the resource banner to the map as well? Even if you do not make it possible to tax like in CH, knowing what resources are low or high would make it easier to trade to pay for cannonballs and upgrades and such. Finally, can you include more contacts than just the one smuggler and ghost? 5 more characters I think would be enough. Missions could include recovering lost voodoo relics, saving condemned pirates, ransoming cities or prisoners, and finding ruins. Even discovering more of the map would be a great quest. The game has lots of potential and others have made some great suggestions. Please do not ignore these requests. I personally want to continue supporting this game and Caribbean Hunt, but I need more to keep me coming back for more!

I do like this game, and I do play it daily. But please, stop reminding me I can attack towns EVERY SINGLE TIME I sail into a port not under my control. I know I can if I wanted to. Update the game to put it under options to disable it, for example.

Well developed and a must have, However...
First off this game has drawn me in on numerous occasions. From boredom and discovery I seriously am so glad I found it. Realistic and challenging but if I had anything to nag about it’s the new... because there isn’t anything. Since I’ve had it anyway (couple months) no update or added content. Idk maybe some in game Easter eggs, secrets, or continued missions after player progress. Also produce is worth less than material needed to make... if Rum is made from sugar but Rum cost/ sells for $ and sugar costs sells for $$ then what’s the point of using the sugar to make a cheaper product? Same for planks & wood, sails & cotton, ESPECIALLY AMMUNITION & metal. Since we have so many infamous allied pirates wouldn’t it be cool to have at least a couple of famous opponents? Lastly maybe different varieties of cannonballs and ammunition.. make them scarce and expensive but noticeably effective like poison or heavy. In conclusion best game I’ve ever stumbled on in a time of my life when... well I needed an escape. Great job!!!!

Make arrows brighter😉. While I’m zoomed out I can barely see the colors, it’s like really dim and quite hard to see the arrows pointing at. Can you pls make the colors brighter (like the arrows pointing @ create, survivors, etc).

Love the Game
I would first like to state that this is, by far, one of the best games I own. I love the open world idea and the ability to customize many different ships, and so on. The only problem I find quite annoying, is how if you change your flag to British, than as soon as you shoot ANYONE, your a pirate. Please just either change it to where you can fight other countries as one flag, and you become a pirate if you turn on your flag, or add a letter of marque system like you have in your other game. All in all, still an amazing game though.

No Clear Instructions
I believe I may be able to enjoy this app if given proper instruction I know most will use their initiative when utilising the app but- in my experience- I have been attempting to fire at the opposing ships for half an hours now and nothing has happened nor worked I deleted the application because of the frustration it caused me there needs be a tutorial before the beginning game play otherwise players will be left in confusion

In all honesty the game is absolutely stunning to play with amazing ships to fight against and ports to attack. The detail that goes in to the game is really really good. There is only one MASSIVE problem for me and that is after the campaigns there is nothing to do. Overall, the game is really great and I’m looking forward to see more epic content for the game. Keep it up HNG!!!
Great gfx but
This is the second pirates game done by the same person,great gfx,the first one I had to uninstall as your ship did not show up on the map so you had no idea where you was or where to go,this one is an improvement but now the problem is,when attacking ships there is no way to adjust the distance of the guns so either the projectile lands short or goes over the enemy ship,shame as it looks rather good also not all the ships you capture will follow you even if there are crew on board,I thought the idea was to collect a fleet?,after playing the game for about an hour I turned off,when I restarted the next day I had been put in the middle of an enemy fleet and right next to a fort,I was defeated every time within a minute and I ran out of ammo,I had to uninstall as it was unplayable and taking up space on my iPad 4,shame,looked good but has bad problems
