Ads crash gameplay
Gameplay is great, but the ads are frequent and lengthy and often overlap into game play, or crash game play into a blank black screen requiring a reboot of the app.
The dumb illiterate monkeys...
behind this game, are so stupid sloppy they mindlessly have their little two line messages on screen all of half a second before each round. Worse yet, the English is broken and grammatically incorrect. This is the state of the industry. Apple used to have standards.
Cheater, or Glitch
I just paid $4.99 for the no ad version. I clicked to get my rewards and sure enough, I am looking at a long drawn out slow ad. Either I paid for no ads (it DID clear), or I would like my $4.99.back and or five dollars and 30 some odd cents if taxes were included.

How do I get ahold of support I hate all the adds so I paid $4.99 to get add free but I still get a bunch of adds , I clicked on app support but all it does is say hello world with no options
Latest update fixed some issues but caused others
I’m happy to say that the latest update (v.66) finally fixed the long-standing issue with the XP-55 and F9F wingmen not shifting targets but instead continually firing at the same point in the sky. Those planes are usable now! However, it broke a couple other things for me. First and foremost, I can’t watch ads since the new version came out, and thus can’t get the free gems and gold you get for watching ten ads a day. It just continually tells me “Ads is not available!” It also means that I can’t get the x4 gold bonus for watching ads after a won stage in campaign mode. More minor issues the new upgrade introduced include that we lost the running points tally in Intercept mode, and now every Campaign and Intercept game says “Wave 1” at the start like you’re playing Assault mode instead of giving the Boss warning message in Intercept mode or stating what stage you’re on in campaign mode. Aside from that, I love the game and have played it religiously. I’d rate it five stars except for these noted issues And despite what some say, you can win and accumulate gems/upgrades over time without spending money, though you have to be patient and smart about it. If I could have any complaints, it’s that the campaign is too short at only 50 stages. You don’t have to resort to the more expensive planes but can win it with a fully upgraded F-100 alone. If you’d like us to use and possibly pay for the more expensive and powerful planes, we need a reason to do so. The length of the campaign should be doubled to 100 levels and made so that the later levels require progressively stronger planes to win or advance. By the time you hit level 100, it should take a fully equipped F-117 to even have a chance to win. Just my two cents. Thanks again for the game, which I did throw some money at as a reward for giving me hours of entertainment. I’d be happy to do so again in exchange for additional fixes and levels.

This used to be a great game to pass the time, now it’s flooded with ads and doesn’t track progress in the weekly tournament. I even paid to remove ads but they’re still there after every single level. Such a disappointment.

Boring game!!! Full of players that play the same map over n over for hrs on end to gain a measly couple hundred gems which won’t even get you an upgrade on a plane !! Needs more maps and limits on players being able to play map 1 ie; over,and over and over again……………
Needs work
The actual arcade style game play is pretty good. However THE ADs ARE 1.5 - 3 MINUTES LONG for almost no reward. They really need to cut them back to 10-30 seconds like other popular games. If the next update don’t fix, I’ll be moving on.

Fun, but buggy and took my money
I payed the $4.99 for the ad-less experience because I enjoy the game, but I still recieve ads betweene every level. Would give this. 4-4.5/5 if the ad removal actually worked.
Buy ad free ain’t real
Bought the ad free option. Still an ad every single time I do anything. Requesting refund. Also now I just quit the game every time that I lose since it’s a lot quicker than watching the cruddy ads.
No wifi
This game is honestly great it used to be my childhood favorite game and what’s even better is that it doesn’t need any WiFi so this is great when traveling or anything your doing so I would rate this 5 stars
Broken
The aircraft chests give me planes I already have with nothing in return for the green and orange boxes. The adds freeze and I have to close and reopen the app and remove the adds form the bottom when playing because it makes gameplay worse

it is impossible to bypass level 2758. So frustrating.
Good game killed by ad model
This was a good game until the most recent update. Most recent update added banner at to the bottom, which is a big distraction and takes a part of the screen during the middle of a game. If you’re going to have ads, have it between levels I will be deleting it now.

45 level
12-16-24 some egoist reprogrammed 45 level,hard and crazy is impossible to drive aircraft through out game filled,I can believe that some people get so easy access to the game programming accounts,12-17-24 now commercial block if you want to save 20 diamonds you can watch a add for second try before back up air plan,is extended to 2 x 15 seconds,insted 5 more seconds after add finished,you can get back,now you have to wait additional tine plus 2x15 seconds extra add..I don’t know what is that all about ? we should all grow up and take responsibilities for civilians and civilians,life is about realistic obligations !
One Star – Ruined by Greed
I used to enjoy this game, but the recent update completely wrecked the experience. They made older levels harder by retroactively adding new obstacles like the lightning, clearly to push players toward in-app purchases. Some levels feel outright impossible now unless you pay for upgrades. On top of that, the game is flooded with ads, so frequent it’s unbearable. It’s obvious the developers are prioritizing money over a fair gameplay experience. Disappointing and frustrating.

I’m in loveeeeee with this game, you miss 1 star because it’s impossible to buy more plane without spending money. First it’s easy to get scam by trying to buy diamond instead of spending DIAMOND FOR MONEY. Come on, who want money, you need diamond to buy plane, when spend diamonds for money. But it’s easy to be scam by that. Lose such money thinking was buying diamonds but instead they change you diamond on money. Wow. Who need money? So i’ll quit because dont want to spend 7$ for a plane.
Great until recent update
This game was great, but a recent update has caused it to become janky and slow on even an iPhone 16 Pro. It now lags and stutters where it never did before.

Don’t get this game, they expect you to pay $5 for a bunch of adds loaded up in the bottom pf the screen to be removed. What a scam!!! Can’t plag the game with adds constantly on the way.
Buying better planes
How do you buy better planes? For example, the stealth bomber plane it says 300 gems and it has a wrench beside that. What does that mean?
Wrenches?
No point in spending gems or watching ads for premium aircraft. Once you unlock them, you have com up with hundreds of “wrenches,” that aren’t included in module purchases.
What happened???
Is this game dead? I still love sitting down to play but no longer supports pvp or live events? Am I the only one still playing?
This should be called 1942 HD remastered edition
This is such a good remastered version of the arcade classic 1942 battle for midway this stomps even the HBMAME versions of the classic game you could clone this app and continue to develop off of what you have here and make a brand new 1942 Version 2 and make a whole new rendition of the game whilst keeping this version great job devs!!
Ads
Forces players to watch ads. Choice is given to skip extra rewards or receive extra rewards. Very deceptive and misleading way of cheating players. Even when clearly choosing not to take extra rewards the game devs force a player into an ad. Even glancing back six years at other player reviews the devs have been forcing players to watch games even when the player opts out. Deleted game. Be warned.
Glitches
Glitches hard on intercept missions. One second I’m dodging missiles on right side of screen, next I’m blowing up on left side of screen. Don’t know how I got there though cause of the micro glitch!
Pay to play
I’ve played this game on and off, and recently again for a YouTube review. I enjoyed playing up until level 30. I had purchased (with gems) the fourth plane in the line up, and sadly the grind to continue upgrading it is getting too extreme. The levels past level 30 are getting un-beatable, as my ship is still too weak at 4 stars of damage. The upgrades for gold isn’t much of an issue, but it gets ridiculous paying 800 gems to continue. Since I’m now at stages that I can’t beat (one shot kills me instantly, and it takes ages to kill bosses or higher level mobs) I can’t get enough gold/gems to continue. You basically get forced to watch ads praying you’ll get enough gems to continue. I can tell that even with the Sabre plane fully upgraded, I’ll still hit a dead end and not be able to continue. This game offers a TON of free content, and is quite fun and fair in the early game. The best way I see to get gems, is pay 5000 gold to spin the wheel and pray. As gold is worthless while you farm 750 more gems to upgrade. Otherwise, paying would be the only option, and this game heavily wants you to pay up. Overall, if you’re going to start playing this game, and not pay any money, keep in mind you will not be able to beat it unless you loose your life to playing it.

You no longer get daily rewards, it has been removed! Some of the planes upgrade is misrepresented, playing game you do not always get what you earned in rewards. Theirs has turned to nothing more than a money pit!
Ad watch recognition
Great game! Lots of fun but it’s frustrating when you end up having to watch 6 ads to get bonuses that you are only supposed to have to watch one. First world problem, Still great game👍
New plane acquisition is a failure
Wonderful game overall. Only issue I have is with my new plane : everything was fine until I got the Curtiss. Despite its improved gun power (did some upgrades), it was weaker in a fight compared to the super Sabre. I can't even take down the first wave in the next level whereas I do it easily with the Sabre. Even after upgrading the wingman I saw no difference at all! Something is wrong!
Frustration.
I enjoy playing, but watching ads for 4x the coin doesn’t always work. Also does not allow me to acquire more powerful planes beyond a certain level even after playing all levels at normal, hard and crazy.

Great little arcade game remade from the past. Unfortunately yes they are tons of ads. Second, with way the rewards are structured for plane and equipment upgrades, there is no advancing on equipment upgrades past level 40 and you pretty much max out on the third plane without - as another reviewer put it- slog through days and days of daily rewards to get just one upgrade. Not fun at that point.
