Fantastic, straightforward app
I highly recommend Mettle. If you want to keep things simple, it’s a great banking app. The free invoicing is great. Currently you can get FreeAgent for free by using Mettle too, if you want deeper accounting. I’ve tried a few business bank accounts and this one is where I’ve happily landed and stayed.
Terrible onboarding experience
Awkward and time consuming account creation process, delays issues card, Apple Pay requires manual phone call to the general line. This is pitched as a modern bank but really it’s just an old bank hiding behind a modern logo.
Great but could be better
Easy to use and pretty much self explanatory. Lacking some features I got with my previous bank such as seeing pending transactions for the next 24-48 hours.
Scheduled payments
Really would like to see when payments to come out of bank are scheduled instead of having to keep record On my calendar !!

Wish the app had extra features
I’ve used the mettle app for several years now, and while on the whole I’ve had no major issues with it, there is one thing that really bugs me, and that’s that you can’t nickname any accounts. I have several accounts in my name that I make transfers to and it means needing to remember the sort code and/or account number every time. It might be a minor thing to some, but I find it an annoying step needing to go in and out of a lists of the same name and sometimes needing to check the account number is correct. It just seems like such a simple thing to rectify but having brought it up more than once over the years with support, it still hasn’t been added as a feature. It also doesn’t allow you to re-order pots so if you add new ones and they aren’t as important, you can’t see the older more important pots at a glance. Other than that, I’ve enjoyed mettle and have (mostly) found it to be a reliable business account.
Still can’t change account status
I need to change company status to be able to access relevant features eg dividend payments. Have raised it multiple times and continue to be unable to do what seems to me an incredibly basic switch. I’m told it’s escalated for development …. For the last three years. That’s ooor. Other than that, I like the app and recommend it.
Very happy business owner
I moved to Mettle 6 months ago and am very pleased I did. I have owned and run numerous businesses over the past 20 years, and this is the most user friendly banking I have used.
Asks for Infinite Information every other day
You are trying to copy Wise but your app is a disaster. It asks for unnecessary business related information over and over again. The design of your app Lags way behind other fintech such as wise. Also it lags way behind in services that are provided by other fintech.
Amazing App - free business account
This app is amazing and the fact that it comes with FreeAgent accounting software is brilliant. The only downside is I can’t find a way to dismiss receipt reminders if I use other software for attaching receipts.
Wish it would do international
It’s a shame they can’t do international - it seems pretty important for a business bank account

Easy to navigate
App refuses to work
The apps been updated 3 times but still refuses to log in! All I get is a white screen with a pink dot! No idea what the balance is, I can’t move money around, add payees or do anything. The only way to check my balance is to log onto FreeAgent on a desktop but doing that for 4 months without being able to access my account or do anything other than to check that days balance is just insane! Avoid unless you have no other options!!!!

Diabolical So Called Bank!
They refuse to close an empty account and keep sending statements for an account that can’t be accessed due to their errors! Totally incompetent customer service! Be warned and AVOID!

So I’ve had other business bank accounts and this is brilliant. Easy to use, whack in your amount, photo of your recipe and description for tax. Sorted. And you get reminded to categorise too. Very very handy.

Consecutive breaks
Couldn’t even sign up because of the app. App wouldn’t let me input anything on the address field. Kept glitching on the facial scan page. Then got completely stuck on the select card name page. Even rebooted my phone & closed the app several times.
