Wish I could edit my old review. Communication could have been better during the process of the SIM upgrade, but everything is sorted. The website’s layout is somewhat confusing, and I have a couple other small complaints, but I’ve been using Lycamobile for like a decade and I probably won’t swap to anything else, despite the occasional hiccup.
Useless support + double charging
As far as your SIM works despite bad coverage its ok. Also international calls are working fine. But once you run into troubles support is absolutely useless. When you call, it takes 30 minutes until somebody answers, my issue was not fixed and I was told to call again in 2 days. Not that they will reach out to me proactively, I was told I have to call again and wait on the line to connect with another department. They can't handle that internally? Its been two days my SIM doesn't work, apparently it will be at least another two days. In the chat nobody replies ever and chatbot is useless. On their website my password doesn't work, if I reset password, new password which is being sent over the email doesn't work either. Update: When Lyca support replied to me here to reach out to them, I have contacted them over the email and my issue was fixed within 2 hours. I needed the right people to have a look at my issue. My SIM now works in 5G spectrum. I am raising my review from 2 to 4 stars, but in general I spent 4 hours on the calls and my SIM was not working for 5 days after I did SIM upgrade which failed. Before I had no issues with an activation, renew and operation in 6 months. Update April: I am lowering my rating again! I paid for 2 months 39$ plan. I was charged 39$ on the first month, and then 39$ again on the second month. I thought its a mistake, so I have reached out to support over the email and here is their official explanation: "Upon reviewing your account, we can confirm that you are subscribed to the $39 Unlimited International 2M plan. After the initial 2‑month cycle, the plan auto‑renewed at the standard rate of $39 plus a 5% regulatory fee, totaling $40.95. Please note that our auto‑renewal program applies only to 30‑day (1‑month) plans. It does not cover 2‑month subscriptions. If you wish to continue with a 2‑month plan, you will need to cancel auto‑renewal and make the payment manually every 2 months to maintain that plan. Additionally, the plan you purchased was under a promotional offer, which is subject to change without prior notice." Make your own opinion if this is fair practice. If the auto renewal only works for 30 days plan, why I even had this option?! The plan can change without prior notice?!

I would give this company a negative score if I can. Customer service had the audacity to ignore my questions and hang up on me. Unreliable service. Expect major issues to go unresolved for weeks/ months.
GARBAGE
This company is insanely sketchy, I paid for an eSIM and it sent me back to the website and just showed me another data plan, I couldn’t figure out how to use it until I dug through my emails and saw they sent me one of an eSIM QR code, no instructions otherwise. I did eventually get the eSIM to work which props for that, that’s why I’m not giving a one star but I can’t even log into the app to check my usage or account because it sends a code to my number and when I type in the code it says it’s wrong and I’ve tried this tons of times, judging by other reviews of people just straight up getting scammed don’t mess with these guys I thought I got scammed until I finally figured out the eSIM, if they were good people they’d take you to instructions after payment but nope. Also everything with this company is insanely slow for some reason, anything I click on the website takes 30 seconds to a minute to load and whenever I try to log into the app it takes a minute just to tell me the code is wrong when it’s correct…

Waste of time and money
Just wasted 3 1/2 hours on the phone with Lycamobile Company since every time I started asking a question their phone line would cut off. I had to call back eight or nine times. At the end of all phone calls, they still couldn’t eresolve none of the issues in hand. No wonder they have only one and a half star rating… If you don’t wanna waste your time and money, don’t deal with these people!
Not able to register Lyca USA
I installed this app and registered the Luca Mobile number now I am trying to use this app but its always sending the pop up as canceled due to which I am not able to install the app
Performance improved
The app performs very well now and ui also quite good.
Poorest service ever
Don’t use this cheap provider network. Not able to receive basic SMS from any bank/wallet service. The customer support sucks, asks to wait for 48 hours, and then also no resolution, makes one wait for 45 minutes to talk to agent. No refund once enrolled, they ask to stop using service, but not port out either for a refund. Stupidest policy ever, only company centric.
Application crashes while doing recharge plan
I have started facing this issue after recent app update. Application crashes when I click on select plan while doing recharge plan. I had to do my recharge thru web as app was crashing every single time I was trying to do recharge.

Unimpressed
The “unlimited data” is terrible to say the least, even on 5g its slow or doesn’t work at all. Overall i would not recommend this mobile service.
Doesn’t work properly on iPhone x
Due to notch on iPhone x the back arrow comes at left side upper corner which comes on time showing in the same corner of iPhone x which is most of the un-clickable.

DUPED!!!!⁰PROMO DEAL IS LIES
I got my Lyca Sim thru the promo oof $5 mo for 1st 3months (unlmtd talk, text,data) tap the promo and price went to $7,50 & same benefits. Received Sim & can get and send texts but no data or calls. I call CS and they said they never had any promos like that and I had paid just for Sim and had to pay ANOTHER $15..... 3 MONTHS LATER AND STILL NO SERVICE JUST TEXTS ONLY. WHEN I call CS they give me the run around. I GOT DUPED!!!! Can't get any help with CS OR REFUND I HAVE PROMO PICS TO PROVE AND THEY STILL DENY!!!

Inaccurate information on their website for get people to purchase; a scam company
I wished I read the reviews before making my purchase. On the website, there are list of devices in which are compatible with Lyca mobile, however when I try to activate the number on a listed compatible device, I was unable to get any network/cellular service even with full bars. Again customer service has been unreliable in resolving this issue and taking too long to refund my money. To the developers, since you have time to reply to each review, do you not care about the integrity of your business? Why are your customers all having similar issues, and what are you doing to resolve this?
Nice Design and Cool features
I liked the design and the simplicity of this app. Was waiting for this app as there wasn’t one in AppStore for Lycamobile. Used to recharge my sim via web, but now I can easily top up and view my remaining balances on the go. Thumbs up for this app.
Dumb system
Wtf, that f* thing it keep losing servers, even I try to restart my phone is not even help, I just pay for it on Monday and it says no more balance, that’s ridiculous, I literally just at home all day long how can it be no more balance
Scam
This company is the worse than any mobile network company. After a vacation came back I can’t get to my account to ménage, enter my number is said we sent you code but the phone is online forgot password enter date birth you can only enter 3 numbers. I am not going to wait my time typing to explain. Can’t get hold of customer service brake my heart. 😡😡😡🥵🥵🥵

Im ashamed of myself of deciding to connect to lyca mobile. Since day i purchased the sim. im waiting to arrive. customer doesnt respond to any email, calls. long wait time, complete waste of time
