Steady app
Nice, work as a Swiss watch. Needs interface update, faster initiation and the adding favourites is somehow complicated . But it works great with my wireless speakers.
Very poor app
This app has to be one of the worst I have used in this day and age ! It is slow and clunky and it keeps crashing . If you leave it to look at something else on your phone it crashes every time . This is not acceptable on a machine that wasn’t shy of £3000 . I have a streamer that cost a fraction of that on my second system and it responds and works far better ! It never crashes . Your app is letting down this excellent machine as the cd’s and sacd’s sound superb . So does the streaming but it’s really hard work listening to music ! Sort it out FFS
Abbruch von Airplay bei App-Nutzung
Liebes Team von Technics, die App passt soweit und das Gerät bereitet mir viel Freude. Was etwas stört ist, dass die AirPlay-Verbindung beendet wird, wenn ich diese App hier aufrufe, um ein paar Soundeinstellungen vorzunehmen. Zudem kann ich die verfügbaren Sender bei DAB+ nicht sehen und keinen Suchlauf machen. Und eine letzte Anmerkung: die Schnellwahl am Drehregler am Gerät direkt wäre noch schneller, wenn man überflüssige Eingangsquellen einfach abwählen oder ausblenden könnte.
App-Sfeuerung zu langsam
Zugriffe und Steuerung per App benötigen zu viel Zeit zur Umsetzung am Gerät. Die Verstellung der Lautstärke ist mit dem Schieberegler ungenau, besser wären +\- Tasten zur Einstellung eines bestimmten Lautstärkewertes.

Strong performing app
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years and find it impressive. I’ve never had any stability issues and the overall user experience is positive, with an intuitive and thoughtful user interface. For a non-software company, this a very good effort.
Since updates won’t connect to Amp
Tried reconnecting a number of times, and during network setup says it has successfully set up wifi but then the app t find it again. Very poor user experience

Leider werden viele Titel wie von Klassik Musik nicht wiedergegeben - die Meldung lautet, dass das Format nicht abgespielt wird. Die Musiktitel kommen aus der Apple Musik App. Zudem ist das Verwalten leider etwas umständlich und mühsam.
More missing functions by the day
Trying to use the app to control and manage the sa c600, with frustrating results. There are loads of “streaming services” that no longer work (Tidal) or I don’t pay for (what is Deezer?) that cannot be removed from the interface — so you have to scroll though them every time you want to switch inputs. It’s possible to favourite some inputs in the app, but not phono, the input I use most other than DAB. Speaking of DAB, the app cannot list all of the stations, one has to cycle through all (45 in my region) and manually add them to a programme list or favourites. Same with FM stations. Seems like an app that is a thin layer over what the remote already does, but with little added value / ability to set basic features on the hardware.
Connection issues
Good app in the main but it regularly doesn’t recognise my device so I end up having to use the remote which is a struggle at best

Yet another disruptive update!
Why is it, that every time Technics updates this app to “ improve” it, it suffers a misfire? The latest update might have improved the “Tidal” streaming facility, but it has done so by removing the internet radio streaming facility. Come on, Technics, you can (and should) do much better than this!!! Try again - and try harder!
Zusätzliche Streaming-Dienste für SL-G700?
Die App macht was sie soll recht gut. Das einzige was ich vermisse ist, dass es keine neuen Streaming-Dienste wie quobuz und Amazon-Music für den SL-G700 (nicht der M2) per Firmware-Update gibt. Das sollte technisch eigentlich machbar sein. Das Gerät gehört schließlich zu den Spitzengeräten von Technics und macht mir immer noch täglich viel Freude beim Musikhören. Glücklicherweise geht es auch direkt aus den Apps der Dienste über Google Cast zu streamen, aber leider nicht “gapless”, was mich bei klassischer Musik natürlich stört. Nach einem Update des Gerätes gebe ich auch gerne 5 Sterne, weil das Gerät ist klanglich immer noch spitze und jeden Euro wert!
Basic
I’m using this with the SA-C600 I’ve been using Tidal for the last few years and love the user interface. Having just purchased the Technics, I was looking forward to using Tidal through Technics dedicated app. I find the app to be basic, amateurish even. Not like the sleek great to use Tidal app, or Spotify. So, I’ve decided to keep using the Tidal app, via Airplay. despite the small drop in sound quality, of which I probably won’t be able to here anyway with my old tinnitus ears, the user experience is more important and so I shan’t be using the app much.

Today’s Update triggert request access to local network again. Already configured devices show up again and the app works great. Thanks you for updating
Stopped working.
Would have given it 4 stars up till now but stopped working on iPad and phone. Probably one of the many updates now useless and need to use a PC for streaming and internet radio. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it especially if it cost £900.
Open/Close
Please provide Open/Close in the next update as the lack of this button on the remote is a real drawback and Leads to dirt and fingerprints on the unit’s front panel.
Slow and losing data
While I’m happy with the internet speaker, the app is very poor, slow to read the data from the device and the UI is ergonomically light years behind. Also keeps losing the saved favourites stations and displaying new random ones instead, although this might not be directly related to the app.
App Interface
App interface needs improvement. Navigation back and for while searching with apps like Tidal is finicky

Mitte Dezember habe ich mir den SL G700 zugelegt. Hervorragender Netzwerkspieler. Die App läuft bis jetzt stabil. Allerdings frage ich mich aus welchem Grund ich bei diesem Gerät nicht die Amazon Music Streaming Plattform angeboten bekomme.

Keeps losing connection
It’s good when it works but keeps losing connection every few weeks. This requires my son attending (as I am 85) to reset the connection. Very frustrating!
A lot of room for improvement
This app serves Technics new multi-thousand dollars audio equipment. Let’s make it at the level of refinement as the audio equipment it serves. In the meantime, please add Mid Range tone control to the already Bass and Treble tone controls in the SU-GX70 in the next app update. Thanks from a Technics fan for the past 43 years!

2 Years….
I bought the beautiful looking C350 2 years ago, and love how it looks…. Love how it sounds, when not trying to connect through the App. The App is possibly the worst interface ever. Great sound, awful awful app. Sorry.
Keeps getting worse with updates
The app is constantly disconnecting requiring me to reconnect. It seems to have gotten worse every time it’s updated.

Disappointed that the app doesn’t show what is being played, only the station….and can’t get BBC stations on the internet input
Speaker User
App ok when it works and you know how use it (not obvious) but often loses connection. Not as reliable as SONOs but has potential to be better. Not sure if Technics are still working on improvements

Well That’s a Good Start
Followed set up procedure in the app using google home. All set up, recognised system (SA-C600) in Google Home, can connect through AirPlay, but cannot find system in Technics App!!!!!!!!’
Absolutely Love This Speakers But….
Well firstly these speakers are awesome sound is amazing I have got the bug I purchased two to get stereo and it’s very good love the app Now for improvements You need to have the ability to change the volume on one speaker and it changes the other speaker if it’s twined The app sometimes dose not recognise the speakers which is a bit annoying please fix this also you cannot switch the speaker of by voice again please add this then I will update my review Do I recommend this speaker hell yer if you want a really good looking speaker and great sound
Octavia sounds great but the app keeps crashing?
Octavia sounds great but the app keeps crashing for no reason. Halfway through doing something and it crashes for no apparent reason. Updates to the app makes no difference. Shame as Technics is a brand of quality and certainly the hardware and sound quality is very good. The app however seems a bit flakey.. Come on Technics!
SA-C100 functional but needs to be better
The app works but it takes a long time to parse the data from the unit for things like favourites or just navigation through song searches. It’s not the best app and shame you can’t disable or remove inputs your not using from the list I. The app and when scrolling through inputs on the remote. It’s recently stopped reading the favourites from the unit although they are programmed and nothing has changed. Also can’t understand why when using tidle that it won’t select higher bitrate songs than 44khz 16bit despite having hires subscription and airplay quality isn’t great

So unstable!
Whilst I have some wonderful speakers, it’s virtually impossible to enjoy them fully as whenever you try to use the app, it continually disconnects from the network it is on and just ruins any form of actual enjoyable experience, knowing that anytime soon, it will disconnect or crash. Don’t get me wrong the speakers work great through a wired connection, and using AirPlay things seem ok, but through the actual Technics app = disaster and I have been pursuing this for over 2 years now after a +£800 purchase!! Not on really!

Menü sollte zwischen App und gerät synchronisierbar sein. Bestimmte Apps wie Deezer oder tidal sollten ausblendbar sein. Bestimmte eingangskanäle sollten auch in die Favoriten kommen
Get rid of the need for Google Home
It is a shame that you need Google Home to setup the wireless / wifi! Until this is fixed, it is not a true Technics/ Panasonic app! Why sell your customers to google???
Fair (It Works but slowly) No Paradise Radio
This application works fine for basic functions on the Technics SL-G700 SACD player/streamer. Though the player is excellent in most every way, this app detracts from the quality-unbefitting a $3K USD player. Specifically application is slow, seems to rely on Google Chromecast and is not very responsive. One of the Player features is MQA decoding. For streaming, this works OK with Tidal but really needs a native MQA capability to play Radio Paradise. This was important enough for me to pickup a Blusound Node (which BTW is superior in every way to this app) Technics/Panasonic please invest a bit to upgrade this application for usability, speed and yes, add Radio Paradise. Match the quality of your awesome hardware.

The CD is excellent but that’s all. I can’t make the streaming work and the supplying dealer (Richer Sounds) doesn’t respond to my requests for help so I’m left with a white elephant.
Not as bad as some people are saying
I think the app is fine. The speaker (ottava sc50) is great. The only thing I would like on the app is to be able to shuffle playlists from the start rather than starting a playlist and then pressing shuffle. Overall, I am very happy

Eine sehr gute App, die meinen SACD/Netzwerkplayer SL-G700 super bedienen lässt. Keine Abstürze, alles funktioniert wie es soll. Schön wäre noch eine Fernbedienung in der APP mit CD Auswurftaste. Softwareabfrage über die APP geht leider nach Neugestalten nicht mehr. Schade. Gute Arbeit! Endlich wird beim Internetradio Streamen der Sendername auf das Display übertragen. Eine Equalizer Darstellung auf dem Display im SL-G700 wäre das i Tüpfelchen. Was nicht da ist, kann noch kommen. Schön, dass Technics wieder da ist, mit einer hervorragenden Qualität und super Service!
Problem
I am trying to play a cd with 43 tracks. I wish to play 23 continuing for several tracks until I wish to stop. It repeatedly takes me back to track 3 which I progressed beyond several days ago. I have played later tracks but that is the tack I cannot get beyond now. I have just turned off the power for a couple of minutes to try to reset. I will see if that succeeds.

years behind- needs improvement
Ottava speaker itself is great little fellow but the app isn’t great at all , -there is no option to choose/ change sources from the app -no option to wake up from standby with app -airplay very laggy not sure if its to do with my router ( tp-link) or something else but i cant stream via airplay straight after i switch on speaker, in fact its has been 10 minuntes now and airplay option does not show on my phone , i know it will eventually show up but how when i don’t know , sometimes i switch wi-fi on and off on technics and that helps , on the other hand chrome cast works straight away i power up the speaker - loudness control increments on the app not so fine ( volume jumps not as smooth) as you would change volume on the speaker manually -radio and podcast does not show up on my technics app as a option so not sure how to use those functions, i read the manual but its still mystery , perhaps not in every country???
Needs an overhaul
Functionally ok but visually crap, wastes screen real estate and is just about a decade behind where it needs to be
