What happened
Until today I could see hourly. Today is Monday and the hourly is starting with Wednesday. What happened to Tuesday or even today Monday April 27.
24 Hour Future Radar only does 12 hrs
Most of the time the 24 hour future radar only covers about 12 hrs until the radar data stops but the timeline continues. It would also be nice to have a place for a bug report without having to write a complaining review on an otherwise pretty good app.

Daily Precipitation Is Wrong v Daily Detail
It's nice to have the radar at your fingertips. The forecasted radar is helpful, but I wish it covered a few more hours. Unfortunately, when you look at the "Daily" summary, the percentage chance of precipitation often does not match the details when you click for that. For example: "daily" chance of rain showed 5%, but the summary showed 40% in the morning and 90% in the evening. I was told by the station representative that the "Daily" summary is only for "daytime," however, the numbers often don't even match for just morning, either. Farmers need a DAILY summary, at a glance, instead of having to click each day to read the fine print of morning and evening. It's easier to go to another source to get a daily forecast of precipitation, rather than having to click each day's details. When somebody's trying to decide whether to cut hay, it's better to have an actual 24-hour daily precipitation forecast immediately. Or, the daily summary could be changed to have both "morning" and "evening" precipitation forecast percentages given at a glance.

I hate the new update you can’t overlay on the radar like you used to be able to do so you can see where the storms are and what alerts are issued at same time now you have to pick one or the other and I don’t like it at all it was great before this last update now im just gonna use the other local stations app or the weather channel app from now on

Radar problems
It may be storming all over us but the radar is blank too many times. Not a single cloud or anything. I have to go to WBIR to get accurate radar!! WVLT is my channel and I don’t understand the issue!! Please fix it!!

Since the last update this is loaded with advertisements that load before news loads. The notification never goes off even after turning off notifications. It always shows you have notifications and there’s nothing New!

As I appreciate the severe weather notifications.the regular weather updates are a little much. I know, I changed them in my settings but it’s the only thing that really annoyed me about the app is all
Confusing
When you click on the WVLT Weather three screens open up all with ads playing and you just don’t know where to click. It’s very confusing if you get it fixed, I’ll update this review
Needs improvement
Downloaded this app after WATE 6 proved too inaccurate. Their app had a simpler visual format though compared to this one. Please simplify the layout to remove mid-screen videos and ads, which are distracting and annoying. Then it will be perfect.

I’ve been with channel 8 forever, love the accuracy of their weather predictions, just don’t care for Heather, sorry. Her voice is like nails on a chalk board to me. Loved David Aldrich and was extremely sorry when he left.
Too many unimportant notifications
I wish there was an option for all-day notifications versus severe weather notifications. For now I’m turning off all notifications and will only turn it back on when I know severe weather is on the way. Very distracting and annoying to get stupid updates on the weather all day long.

Why do I have to watch ads to get the weather? The app is full of ads. Every video you want to watch has an ad before you can view. Cannot recommend.

I do appreciate the emergency alerts but I am very tired of the pop ups with loud dings of “check our latest forecast! “ I wish they would just remove them. I would settle for just a silent pop-up. I mean come on really?
Accurate but app needs work
The only reason I keep this app is because they are the most accurate of the weather apps. However, they have the worst weather app layout of all the weather apps. It’s harder to read and understand.

Really good app
This app would easily get 5 stars if it’s advertising was not so “in your face” every time you clicked on every video. Also, it moves very quickly over everything and you barely have time to see what you are looking at. But it is still a very good app that I use every day.
Abusive notifications lately
Even though I have alerts set to only show me important alerts, over the past week or two they are suddenly sending alerts that are basically ads. Keep that up and I'll be installing. REALLY ANNOYING...I would have rated this a five star app until they started this garbage.

Extremely glitchy and jumpy on iOS 18.5 also the whole app crashes out when opening. Logs show it’s using too much memory
Too many notifications
I am a loyal WVLT news viewer but this weather app is annoying with numerous daily notifications. Through the control setting I have specified ONLY severe weather warnings for my area. Obviously does not work!! I get notifications for meteor showers, comets, clouds, no rain, etc. This is NOT severe weather. Very annoying!!!! Fix this problem and I’ll keep the app but I’m ready to delete it.

First of all, we want to say, thank you WVLT for the great job we feel you do day after day! And thank you, too, for allowing us to state our thoughts. In our opinion, the best chief meteorologist WVLT ever had was David Aldrich. He knew his job, and we enjoyed watching him do it. It always felt like family in the WVLT newsroom when David was there. We as the public will probably never be told the story behind the whys of WVLT firing him. However, Austin is excellent! When he came onboard, he just seemed to mesh like he’d been there forever. He does a great job. Ben is very good , and, to us, he appears to be a lot like David in his reporting. All this being said, Heather was a little “ho hum ”when she first took over her position as chief meteorologist. But she really improved more and more each day. She now seems very knowledgeable, conscientious and comfortable and she certainly appears to enjoy her job. We love how thorough she is in the way she explains the things she is saying so that we truly understand them. And now, we just want to close by saying, “Good job Heather!” Thank you WVLT for allowing us to share our opinions.
