I have played this game for over a year now and loved it. However, recently any in app purchase I made, like cheats, does not work. Again, the app is still very fun, but I like to be able to use the abilities that I buy!

It’s okay
I had this app a while back and I was obsessed with playing the interactive fictions on it!! I couldn’t pay for much but they had a good variety of free games to play so I didn’t really care. I came back recently to find that they offer way more games, but not a lot of free options at all. Most of the games range from $7 and up, and there’s like 10 games f2p, which was disappointing. I’m glad they’re moving on up though.

Wonderful stories, good app. Needs loads and saves
I recently started playing Choice of Games. I enjoy the usability of this app. It’s super easy to use. The authors are good and I enjoy playing their stories when they capture me. My biggest critique agrees with a consensus that Choice of Games could really use load and save features so that players can change actions without needing to speed replay the entire game. Dungeons & Decisions by Delight Games shows a good example of this feature in use.
broken update
long time user, new update has made the app unusable for me. every time i go to the next page the previous pages text stays and covers the new page. can’t figure out how to fix.
Content is great, app is eh
I love these games!!! But please let me drop straight back in and not need to see basically a page of ads before I do each time. At least give us an opt out option. It’s quite embarrassing to open the app to a big cheerleader, romance picture, etc

So well written
Great content, terrible store
This is a storefront for great choose your own adventures, but one that makes it next to impossible to identify what content is worth your time. You cannot rate a game until you finish it, which biases every game to the upper end of the rating scale, with almost everything being between 4.6 and 4.8, a scale so compressed as to be worthless. You can’t even change your ratings for games you rated without replaying them, even as your experience broadens. There are also no written reviews. The only way to get useful information is to check out the steam pages of games you’re interested in, which are much more helpful. It’s also terrible for managing your collection, with no way to group titles by series, or even in order. In desperate need of an option to tie its theme to the system so as to automate switching between light and dark.
Love it so far, but some suggestions.
This has been great fun over the last week or so. There needs to be a way to filter stories while searching. Some kind of tag system maybe? Sort them by rating? I dunno. Searching is super clunky. A save load system would be a real game changer. Especially on re-reads. It’s incredibly tedious to have to start from the beginning if you want to explore a different dialogue tree in the middle or end of a story. I do feel like the stories are a little over priced.
Not useful
I love choice of games and hosted games but the apps are rubbish, they always fail to restore purchases.
Love it but one problem
Love the app and the stories but after the most recent update the in game/story stat bar thing was moved from the left side to the right which I find really annoying and I was wondering if there’s a way to move it back plus the buttons on it haven’t worked very well since it was moved

Been playing this on and off since I was a kid lol My only complaint is that the app isn’t entirely dark with dark mode turned on so that’s a little annoying
Updates lose saved data
updates usually make your current chapter restart but the most recent one has deleted a massive amount of data. This is very discouraging and makes me regret purchasing stories from this app

lol it’s like the greatest app ever but it only has limited free options and only a few good ones in the slim pickings, and other than that every story costs from $5-10… yah I can’t go around spending that much on a few little book thingys… please make it more fun and accessible for those with limited money! Decent, too expensive
It has some good stories, but there needs to be better free ones, wish I could read more but I’m broke
Adore the app!
First off, I absolutely adore this app and have spent many a night eagerly reading page after page. Though, I do feel the app could benefit from more stories that cater to a mature audience, for example on the choices app ‘Werewolves: Haven Rising’ which seemed to thread an equal amount of mature themes into one storyline, and for another example, on your ‘hosted games’ app, the ‘Samurai Of Hyuga’ was so well written I was literally glued to my phone. I feel as an older user, the hosted games held more appeal to me, and I can only put this down to the stories being more gritty and unabashed. It feels as though Choice of Games is a little more tentative around these areas, which I understand as it’s a mixed audience, but that’s the only thing I felt was missing.
Love the Stories, the App Needs Work
Love that they’ve made a platform for what was once standalone apps but my experience with it has been pretty janky. The app bars and bottom bars are illegible / have broken backgrounds, some elements don’t load correctly in the app views. Could really stand to have a usability / accessibility audit done because it is way out of compliance for the latter. (As a fan and an experienced product design professional, I’m happy to point you in the right direction / provide detailed screen captures of what’s broken pro bono, please feel free to reach out.)
heroes of tomorrow story
It was very interesting. I love the detail in the fight scenes, as well as in the more personal emotional scenes. I like stories with heroes in it and this is one of the best I’ve played.
No way to remove the ads
This would be really neat with a better monetization strategy.
Too many pay to read
I love this app, but please makes some more stories free. I understand that you need to make money, but I don’t like to play “creatures such as we” and “Nessie obligee” (is that what they’re called?) over and over again. You can add more adds, but please make some more of the romance ones free.
Unhappy
I once was a big fan of Choice of games and even recommend it to friends and family but it's seems that prices are going up. I am not willing to pay 5/6 pound to play a game for a few hours and then on top of that I can not restore purchases through my account as it says it does not recognise my email address...
Constant Insults?
As I use the app an audio clip keeps playing over and over every three seconds. Shouting: Hah, loser! It is deeply strange. A glitch? A virus? Who knows. Only in the app, it cuts out if I leave.

Endlessly replayable with a ton of stories that could tickle anyone’s fancy. Tons of incredibly talented writers contribute to this app, check a few of them out!!
Sad. Used to love this app
As a long time user and HUGE fan of choice of games and hosted games the new updates to the app and how everything is layed out really puts me off from using this app ever again. Even more, as an old user of the app I’ve lost all access to all my previously purchased stories. Wanted to come back and restart but looks like choice of games isn’t what it was when they first started
Great app one suggestion
Hi, it’s a really great app playing for a few months I am blind so it’s a very good game for visually impaired but one suggestion now the ants sometimes are not in voiceover accessible. I have to keep closing the app and re-open and re-opening it to find the right ad that I can close on the Voice Over, please make ads voiceover accessible
Was working well but now it doesn't
I've written 2 reviews before so this is my 3rd. For some reason whenever I press a novel i get a blank screen that just says details at the top. There is nothing else. Hopefully the bug is fixed. Thanks!
Something fishy
The stories that where written in this app was amazing, they are even nice enough for use to try a sample. I was buying the full version of the wolves:haven but then, when I try to purchase it the price that was displayed $5.69, jumped up to $8.85 If it I want to buy it. But I didn’t mind about it cause I had enough still. But once the purchase was completed, I got a insufficient fund pop up. Like the money was not enough. If it is a bug pls fix it. If not, what are you doing with that hidden cost?
A standout among superhero games
The superhero genre and Choice of Games make a great match. Alt-history, origin stories, and training have all been good fodder for games, and this game brings the best of all of them.
Scammed out of my money
Until recently I loved this account. The concept of being able to choose the ending of the story was an amazing idea. I have no problems with any of the stories on this app. But a couple of days ago I was playing a book that said it would take $7.99 to continue the game. Now as I live in England I payed in £, but I payed £9.99. I don’t normally deal in dollars so I assumed this was the normal exchange rate. Today though, one of my friends kindly informed me that $7.99 is in fact £5.66. I will keep the app but I certainly will be checking the price before I buy and I hope everyone else will too.

Good but I’ve got a problem
It’s great how I can read some of the books like a trail then decide if I want to buy it but I just brought my first game on the app and it’s giving me an error so I can’t read which is 10 dollars wasted...
Mostly Great
I love having all my stories in one place... except for some reason i can’t view them offline? It be cool if you could add a download button or smthn. I rarely have internet and most of the time i’d rather not spend it reading you feel? Also, it would be super cool if you could have like an account option on the app? Unless there already is and im blind. 🤔

Just get the games separately
I really don’t like this app. The games themselves are absolutely brilliant and well worth paying for, but this app does not work very well at all. When they first created this app a few years back I installed it and almost immediately uninstalled it. It was hard to use, unintuitive and didn’t add anything to the experience. It also didn’t recognise any of the games I had purchased previously. I re-downloaded it a few months back to play a particular game which only seemed to be available in this app, and it worked better, I didn’t have any problems. I have now installed the ‘update’ today, and I can’t see any games at all. None whatsoever, not even the one I was halfway through playing. Additionally the app is unresponsive, it’s not clear how it’s supposed to function (might be a side effect of not having any games visible!) and it’s very frustrating. I personally would much rather just install each individual game when I want to play it, rather than be forced to use a centralised app which doesn’t work. The games really are excellent, which is why this review has two stars, but this particular app lets the games down. Seriously, just go and buy the games on their own.
Good app idea
It's good to have all the games in one app but it could do with a search function. Would also be beneficial for it to recognise previous apple purchases. Keeps telling me that restore is successful but that I haven't yet purchased the content when I have.
Fun break from reality
Brings back fond memories of reading the old Choose Your Own Adventure in the school library in elementary school.

Great
I love these games, not that they are games they are in reality varied interactive books. It’s perfect for mobile and I think the mobile and writing industries are slow to develop novels this way. My only negative is the pricing, some novellas are very short and simply not worth full price. Always look at the word count in the description before paying, needs usually to be above 250k words for me. The app has chapters free which is a great improvement as you can judge the narrative/writers style first, which was a problem before the app. I do think choices and their writers deserve support, and I hope in time the market will catch up and we will have many long full novels that benefit writers, readers and education.
Should play offline
I enjoy this game very much, but you shouldn’t have to play it online. Ever since I updated the game, I am unable to load the stories if I’m using service or wifi. And that’s really unfortunate since I love this game.
Not ideal
It’s great to have some titles in one app so they aren’t scattered on my phone, but this app doesn’t recognise past individual purchases. It also has longer loading times then when the app the stand alone apps and crashes happen more often. Silverworld crashed twice and it forced me to start from the beginning.
