Expensive and deceptive
They advertise one price but then make you pay in larger increments. I kind of regret trying it already.
lots of features that are never put to use
(MALAYSIA) This app is great for playing football simply, but firstly the membership it’s non refundable even if it hasn’t been used and it’s auto, it must be cancelled which sucks. Secondly, there’s many features like beginner but they’re never put to use, team games. Thirdly, when i joined the promo code was a scam, i was never given my promo code, there was late replies from the team about the promo code, then when i signed up, they provided me the promo code and it was “unusable.” Overall great for the football games, new friends, weekly slots, money — although it sucks with most features and i wish the app was genuinely improved.
Convenient app to use !!
The Stranger Soccer app is incredibly easy to navigate - with just a few clicks, I can book a soccer game effortlessly. Beyond booking games, the app also allows me to add friends, view my membership details, and access exclusive game discounts. It’s convenient, user-friendly, and makes organising a game seamless. I highly recommend it!

app is ok but management and admin very unprofessional
entered a student free game very early during weekday,they suddenly decided to remove me from the playing list when there are suddenly people on the waiting list at the very last minute and claimed that it was “overdemanding” when i was very early to book.

It is just too expensive and i dont know i only pay like 20dhs for turfs…. Its a good app if you are desperate to play

Click to play now for only 19.99, limited time deal it used to be 20.89! But wait… theres an extra 2.50 for platform fee, so now its 22.50, already more than the original price, but sure ill just book it. But wait! Theres another 2 bucks for gst, so now the final price is 24.51. Why not just tell me that upfront? Feels quite sleazy to squeeze an extra 5 bucks every time I book a match.

Money minded
Stranger Soccer is honestly one of the most disappointing platforms I’ve dealt with. They claim to be about making football accessible, but that clearly doesn’t apply if you’re in a remote area. It feels like players outside major cities are completely ignored — limited games, poor organization, and zero effort to expand or support those communities. On top of that, the fees are ridiculously high for what you actually get. You’re paying premium prices for a service that barely delivers, especially if you’re not in a central location. There’s no real value, no fairness, and definitely no consideration for players who don’t live in busy urban hubs. What makes it worse is the poor communication. Games get cancelled and you’re only informed about 45 minutes before kickoff — completely inconsiderate for people who’ve already planned their time, travel, and schedule around it. They also do nothing to encourage new players to join. No real incentives, no effort to grow the community — just a constant push for bookings and payments. Meanwhile, local hosts are the only ones actually trying — going above and beyond to organise games and keep things running — yet they get little to no acknowledgement or support for their efforts. It’s completely unfair. At this point, it genuinely feels like the app owner and organisers don’t care about the players or even the hosts. It’s all about the money, not the community. If you’re in a remote area, don’t expect much — except high costs, last-minute cancellations, and frustration.
Cool product, misleading pricing
This is a great app concept and the game I played was really fun. However, the pricing is misleading. A game will have a displayed price that is significantly lower than the actual price to play. This is due to at least 3 additional fees and taxes added - I’d argue it falls afoul of the ACL. You also can’t pay for games ad hoc - you must buy credit in the app, then use that credit to pay games. I imagine the creators hope you purchase credits and forget to use them, which also leaves a bad taste.
Great app if you have the need for a kickabout
Sign up for a game and just turn up. Everything is settled and you just focus on playing. Love it!
Malpractice and Expensive
They advertise having the option to cancel a membership anytime, but it’s actually within 72 hours before the next billing date in hidden text. They also save your credit card details without your permission, so they lock you into an auto renewal subscription system. Tried contacting their Support email, slow reply.

Getting worse and worse
First started using this app around 8 years ago. However, recently they have been increasing the prices like crazy. ~$25 just to play one game plus they have also quietly added GST and transaction fees for topping up etc. On top of that, SS games are getting worse. Games cancelled at the last minute, pitches double booked, hosts showing up late. The list goes on…

Please get update fast, the app generates really slow. It’s quite frustrating, need to wait more than 2 minutes to load. Fix it ASAP. Thanks.

Hidden fees & spam
TONS of hidden fees. Games will be listed at $20, for example. To book the game a 2.50 platform fee is automatically added. Now your game is $22.50. To pay your 22.50 for your game, an 80 cent top up fee is needed. Slimy app. If these people aren’t blood sucking enough, if you leave your notifications on for ONE day expect your phone to be flooded with random advertisements. Decent idea for an app, executed by slime bags

Easy and convenient
The app is very easy to use and convenient as i like how we can play football with anyone! Shoutout to Ignatius, the host for my first game. He made me feel welcomed, explained the rules very clearly and even gave us extra time to play. Will definitely book more slots in the future!
Terrible customer service
Customer service is terrible. Booked in the afternoon for an evening game but had something urgent came up. Contacted customer service on WhatsApp and told me only able to cancel 24 hours before the game if not it’s considered no show and no refund. How to cancel if literally booked on the same day. Had played so many games with them but no leeway given. Only allow death or hospitalisation for cancellation. First time requesting to cancel btw. Booking by yourself will be much cheaper. I guess they can afford to lose customers now.

Poor customer service and Slow App
App is extremely laggy and only loads after reloading the app a few times. Customer service bounces enquiries around to other departments so as to avoid dealing with the customer. Took more than a month before they responded to my enquiry over a refund.
