Decent app. Could use some improvements.
The app is fine. It does what it needs to do. There’s a couple issues though. First, if I’m logged in and then get logged out due to inactivity, when I return to the app and try to use biometrics to log in again, it attempts biometrics but then immediately returns me to the back to the login screen. Secondly, and honestly more annoying… a recent update has caused the current stock price to be rounded to the nearest whole integer. This is frankly just incorrect. Why round a stock price? Please fix that.

App always Locks me out!
I have called so many times to reset my locked account and again every month it gets locked! So many representatives suggested trying to keep logging in every few days to avoid that and still locked! I have 2fa and authenticator set and password is also saved, the same stops working! This happens for more than a year and half now. Terrible app! Would not use if employer isn’t forcing me too!
Kinda works
The app displays your stock information well enough, in a very basic way, but it has a number of issues. The biggest bug I’ve found is that if you try to do a transfer but haven’t added a brokerage account (through the website, it’s not supported on the app like a number of other features), the app gets stuck. There’s no back button, so you have to clear the app out of memory to use it again. Poor and thoughtless design, very disappointing from such a large financial firm.
Unable to log in (UI issue)
When I try to input my two-auth pin, there’s no enter button on the native OS UI sheet so I can’t proceed. I also can’t access or see the log in button. I tried to tap out of the number pad UI sheet but doing this freezes the app. iOS, iPhone mini 13 Also, I couldn’t find a way to get app help without calling or submit app feedback privately.

Worst financial app
Hard to think of an app that's worse. Very basic and frequently gets an error saying it can't connect to the server. I have several otter financial apps installed, none are this bad.
Just use the website
Half the time the app redirects you to the website anyway.
Decent app but some features require going to the website in a browser 👎
This would get a star higher if you didn’t get forced out of the app and asked to login to the website for certain tasks. Feels incomplete and hacky.
Unable to use the app
When I log into the app a message displays: “ You need to update your contact information. To do this, sign in to StockPlan using a desktop or tablet browser.” However, when I log onto the web, there is no message asking me to update my contact information. After changing/updating my contact info manually via my profile, I’m still unable to access my account via the app. If I can log into the the app, the app is worthless. I will update my rating when this is resolved. UPDATE: An app update / new login process have fixed this issue.
Does not work!
Never been able to log in… EVER! Just hangs after the 2FA code.

Every time logging into the app says “ there are some steps you need to do on desktop browser before you are logging in” But logging to the website doesn’t show anything . Re Installed the app few times same outcome.

App is always opens with the error , Sorry, but your version of StockPlan Connect mobile is out of date. Please download the latest version of your app. , Even after deleting and updating the app it does not work

Simple and easy

The app and Morgan Stanley are awful. I am trapped using this terrible app and company because my RSUs and ISOs are handled by MS. I truly hate having this relationship with a company that does not have any consideration for the end user. There is no way this app legitimately has 4 star reviews. When logging in, I have enter password followed by authenticator code. When I switch to the authenticator app and back, MS app reverts to password prompt. STUPID STUPID STUPID workflow not tested by devs.
Really hate this app
Morgan Stanley’s iPhone app has all kinds of bugs. Recently can’t even log in because it doesn’t pull up a keyboard to type in username and password. Major fail.

No iOS widget option ( Etrade is better)
Weird that iOS doesn’t have widget support. I know Morgan Stanley acquired Etrade but still they lack on technology. Etrade aa Quick Widget and Save events directly to calendar, execute orders. Why can’t you guys update technology to the standard
Location interstitial
It keeps telling me it’s gonna ask for location permission but never does.

New app is very hard to navigate and no where as easy as previous version....having to revert to laptop

Needs some major improvements
Please show some more information: - How much was the stock purchased for? - What is the return of investment based on purchase price and current trading value? - What’s the average purchase price of a stock? - What is the return over 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, etc.?
Generally good - one annoyance
The app is generally good. However when recertifying your W8-BEN following an address change (that Morgan Stanley have registered) it displays your old address and asks you to confirm that that is your permanent address. If you continue (by confirming incorrectly that your old address is your permanent address) then it gets corrected and the next time you go to recertify your correct address will be shown.
Crap
Why change something when it isn’t broken?
Broken
Used to work fine. Now when clicking an account (after successfully logging in) I get “Error”. Even though I can go ew the account on the web, and even after removing and re-installing the app.
Detail
The new app doesn’t give the detail that the previous app did. It’s not useful for performance tracking.
Limited features
Includes very basic features, can be improved with more features and user experience can also be better.
Had no issues
Classic app said no longer compatible and pointed me to this new and improved app. Logged in like a charm and even enabled Face ID! App is slick
Unusable
I have two accounts tied to this app. My current employer and my previous employer. Since the last update, this app will only allow me to click on my previous employer. When I click on my current employer, it gives me an error. Have rebooted my phone, deleted and reinstalled app, tried everything. Nothing works…. Please address

My classic app told me to upgrade, to the new enhanced app, when I did and tried to login it told me my account was not compatible use the classic app, idiots !!!
Used to be great, then they broke it
Two factor authentication has been broken for weeks. The page just goes blank after you submit your code. Here’s to not testing something as fundamental as logging in securely and then letting it linger for weeks without an update. DevOps FTW!
Old version was better
...and had more info. Where did the gain/loss tab go? I need it to calculate additional taxes. Why force everyone to use the new app while the old one was way better? Please roll back.
