Bad display for iPad users
Not optimized for iPad users: only has phone-style narrow display that requires a lot of scrolling. Information could easily be shown on entire screen if display was optimized.
Love the local notifications
I just wish I could customize them further. It’s not my jam to receive 4 notifications a day (2 for today’s temp and 2 for tomorrow’s). I wish I could tell the app to only alert me for TODAY’S weather, not tomorrow’s. I get why that’s helpful for some people, but let me toggle it offfffff 😭 and don’t ignore me WeatherCAN i know this would take 15 minutes to code so listen to ur user base and fix ur apppppppp
Good in parts
On the plus side, model used to generate forecasts is good, so it’s fairly accurate. On the minus side, the user interface is amateur and visually unappealing, so it’s not pleasant to use. And there’s a tiresome ‘message’ feature, with red badge notifications indicating unread items from a blog, and there’s no way to switch this off. The designers must know that only a small minority of users will want to read these blog posts and the rest of us will find these notifications irritating — but they evidently don’t care.

Worst radar.
Very poor radar. Jerky & halting. Look at WINDY app to see how it should be done.
Very inaccurate
The app starts the day with showing the sun at 7:30am or 8:30am, then moves the sun ahead 1-hour until the clouds finally clear. That’s not “forecast”.
Can’t use anymore
Can’t access this public service because my phone is too old. Come on Canada.
Unstable
I would give it a higher rating if it would stop crashing regularly.
Great information
The weather provided here is more accurate than Apple weather due to the use of Canadian specific weather models and data. Great for planning outdoor trips. Decent interface.

Hangs
I was moderately happy with the app until the last update. But now it hangs frequently and sometimes freezes my iPhone. I had to delete it. Also radar data is often not available (this started a year or so ago.) Before that the forecasts weren’t particularly accurate for my location but better than other sources.
2026 bug reports here
Would like the ability to choose the units the barometric pressure. November 2024: a lot of wasted space on the main page, a 3 day outlook would make it more helpful with less tapping and swiping. Some less helpful info could be removed. Condense the 7 day outlook page to a smaller format to require less scrolling July2026: widget is reverting to hourly forecast after I set it to daily
Real CANADIAN data.
The app functions well, and unlike other weather apps, the data is actually Canadian. Other apps use US data, where we show up on the edges and the data isn’t as accurate.
Does Not Know Proper Location !
The App believes I am either 66km in one direction or 20km in another direction away from my actual location. Not very useful for emergency weather alerts. I had positive hopes for what this App promised but due to serious inaccuracies I have deleted it from my iPhone.
No LOCK Screen widget…!?!?
App is great with one HUGE feature missing. How is there no LOCK screen widget in iOS26. And no in not talking about HOME screen widgets. And yes, they are different. I simply cannot understand how there’s no LOCK screen widget, which in my mind is a huge omission. Please add this ASAP.
Quantité de précipitation non affichée
Très bien MAIS il manque une information importante, la quantité des précipitations en mm. Application totalement inutile, aujourd'hui 100% d'averse de pluie ou orage, mais de combien? 1mm ou 10mm, c'est avec l'autre application que l'on sait que ce sont des précipitations très importantes de 100mm qui vont tomber et qu'il faut s'y préparer.
location services now mandatory?
why do I have to turn on location services just to use the app? it’s not that hard to manually put in where I am or if I want to check a different location… I shouldn’t be forced to turn on location services which also uses more data and battery. I have deleted the app. Unfortunate because I used to use this one.
Accurate AND surprisingly interesting
Honestly, I downloaded this in the hope of getting more accurate info about if it is going to rain but the little write ups about Canadian weather topics have been really cool. I just learned about mammatus clouds! The UI could be a bit slicker, but the info is great. Good work enviro Can!
Was great
What the heck happened. App including map worked great. NOW, my area of the map is BLOCKED. Can’t see what weather is heading to my city.
No ads or other garbage
I did prefer the more straightforward older design, but the app still does what it should. It would be better if the radar map would project forward in time, and if the forecast and hourly forecast included the amount of rain predicted to fall each hour. How much and how hard it’s expected to rain is let information
Disable location services!
Implement the option to disable location services! Widget and GUI needs more work and refinement.
Any other weather app works without Location Services
People just enter their own or any other area/town. D’oh. Three stars for having a superb web site, though.
Fantastic App
Love this app. It’s my go to for weather info. Good data. Clear warnings. The random messages with information about different types of weather is a nice little perk that’s very informative too. Only wish I got notifications for them. Notifications for weather events work fine though which is most important.

C’est vraiment fun et pratique d’ouvrir le radar et de voir les 6 dernières heures et non ce qui est à venir ! C’est quand même drôle de réaliser qu’ils n’arrivent plus à bien prédire la météo alors ils te montre le radar de ce qui s’est passé plutôt que de : prédire.
Radar no longer works
The radar map almost never works. It was an app I used to enjoy for its simplicity, but over the last few months it’s been losing functionality. Get it fixed!
Needs work.
Get rid of the messages as no one wants or reads them. The app doesn’t work well with VPNs. I’m in Canada and have my vpn set to Canada but it won’t let me in. When i set it to India it will let me in. Go figure. There is severe lag time when you press the radar map.
Nice redesign
Nicely redesigned interface. Much better than before. Really importantly, they don’t have any ads and so the interface is pretty slick and reliable compared to things like the Weather Network. However, some new features such as forecasted radar projections would be useful and there’s probably still polishing to do on the visual appeal of the interface. They should also include even further forecast things like 14 day forecast, even if it’s lower confidence.

It shows always 5-6 degrees more or less than it actually is, why???

Great and super accurate!
So far this app is amazing, sure it does not have future radar… but that makes it so accurate! Everything about it is so nice highly recommend!
Totally broken?
No forecasts, no current conditions, even after a reinstall. Even the "submit" button on their feedback form doesn't do anything!!
Trop de notifications inutiles
Je peux recevoir 10 notifications “Alerte Jaune” disant veille d’orage violent, d’orage violent ou de vent violent, etc. Mais, tous cela n’y arrive pas. A tout heure de la journée. Je peux comprendre qu’il est important de le savoir mais de recevoir plusieurs notifications pour rien ça devient agassant. Donc, peut être corrigé cela et je vais réinstaller l’application. AccuWeather ou MétéoMédia ne m’envoie pas des dizaines de notifs disant la même chose. Ils peuvent me l’envoyer une à deux fois maximum à comparer de plus de 10 fois pour MétéoCAN

Privacy concern when location services on is a requirement. Should be able to search for locations without giving access to location services.
Lacking information
Temperatures are fairly accurate, but it’s lacking lots of specifics for future days and other features, rendering pointless when compared to other apps.
