Keeps asking me to download app
When I click on article for more info for Good News, it asks me to download app but I already have it. Doesnt take me to more info on that article. This doesnt happen when source is something else like The Guardian
Zu sehr auf Themen fixiert
auf der Startseite fand ich zunächst nur Nachrichten über ein bestimmtes Thema, zum Beispiel E. Mobilität oder Tierschutz. Das ist mir zu einseitig und zu wenig. In den Kategorien finde ich auch zu wenig, was mich interessieren würde. Beim anklicken einer Überschrift werde ich auf eine Medienplattform verlinkt (Spiegel, Fokus, die Zeit… ) und werde sofort wieder mit den negativen Alltagsnachrichten konfrontiert. Genau das wollte ich eigentlich vermeiden. Somit hat die App Good News für mich ein bisschen das Thema verfehlt. Ich wünschte mir eine App, die ein Sammelbecken ist für wirklich nur gute Nachrichten. Vielleicht ist das aber auch technisch oder aus Gründen von Copyright nicht möglich. Dann wäre meine Bewertung nicht fair.

Bin hier neu, kann die App noch nicht beurteilen. Bin etwas verwirrt, da mir die App sagt ich soll sie herunterladen, obwohl ich dies schon getan habe.

Maybe good, but so many ads I can’t read a whole story
This app looks intriguing, but there are so many ads that pop up that it interrupts my ability to even read a whole paragraph. After attempting to read ONE story, I counted no less than six pops that blocked my screen that I gave up even before finishing my first article.

Great news!
I love this app. I didn’t realize it would curated news (like Apple News) and I would access to articles from so many sources. When I realized when I clicked on “more” I would be taken to the full article —I was in heaven. Even though I tend to read these sources (Reuters, BBC…) these are the types of articles I would never find as they are so buried beneath doomscroll clickbait. Great app!
App not working
The app redirects towards the website that references back towards the app. Please remove this loop, I would like to enjoy some good news again.

Left Leaning News
Over the recent years this news network has become very political. Most of the news stories are from the left-wing Democratic agenda. I used to love this app, what a shame it turned political.
Gute Idee, aber völlig überzogene Spendenforderungen
Die Idee der App ist super. Positive Nachrichten sind eine willkommene Abwechslung, weil überall sonst nur Negatives dominiert. Insofern ist das eine nette Alternative. Allerdings bietet die App nur eine Handvoll verlinkter Artikel pro Tag - und nicht mal alle sind wirklich positiv, sondern oft eher im Stil von „XY plant, irgendwann mal etwas Gutes zu tun" Was aber wirklich fragwürdig ist: Die App ist kostenlos, ruft aber täglich zu Spenden auf - und das in absurden Höhen. 13.000 € pro Monat?! Für fünf verlinkte Nachrichten pro Tag? Entweder ist das extrem dreist oder wirtschaftlich völlig daneben. Die Idee bleibt gut, aber die Finanzierung ist ein Witz.

In a sea of hateful and depressing news feeds, it’s refreshing to remember good things happen in this world, too. This App gives balance and restores faith in humanity—objectively and honestly.
Ads make it unwatchable
Ads continually pop up so frequently that you can’t even read the article. It’s quite frustrating. This may be a ploy to make me willing to pay for an upgraded version one day. I will pay $2 a month just bring it out!
Positive vibes for a change!
Usually I’m on world new sites and spiral into doom scrolling, but now I have an option that provides a lift! Enjoying the app and the smiles it brings to my day.

The progressive bias kind of puts me off the app. I like reading good news, but want my sources to be as unbiased as possible.

The pop up ads on many of the linked stories are overwhelmingly annoying making them unreadable.

Perfect way to reduce news drudgery. Good news app focuses on positive change and stories that are generally uplifting. This is what we all need more of. The world is a beautiful place and we must all focus on positivity and do our part however small it is.
Disappointing -Consumer Beware
I was truly enjoying the uplifting news stories on this app, so I decided to support the organization. As soon as my first donation was accepted, the app stopped updating. I emailed the organization twice, but had no response. I have canceled my reoccurring donation and have deleted the app. I’m very disappointed with this outcome. Consumer beware.

The folks at Good News have kept their content relevant and useful. For example, publishing reports of people doing constructive work to address the climate emergency. This app is a public service.

Every time I open an article I am being asked to subscribe to a science mag so that I may read entire content. What am I missing here?

There are so many horrible things going on in the world and it affects my mental health a great deal. I recently decided to delete my regular news app and use this app instead. It is comforting to know there are still good things happening and good people.

Inwiefern ist „Bub beim spielen von Auto tot gefahren“ eine gute Nachricht? Mir ist schon klar, dass dies ein Link ist zum allgemeinen Nachrichtenportal. Die App nutze ich aber weil ich diese Schlagzeilen eben vermeiden will? App wieder gelöscht.

I’m enjoying the app, it’s a great launch pad to some inspiring articles. However, many of the sites the headlines take you to require membership/subscription to yet more ID mining sites, which I do not welcome and therefore leads me to conclude that free headlines without the meaningful content is a bit vacuous.

Leider sind die News nicht Good. Wer - völlig zurecht - eine Alternative zum negativen Massengeschmack der Massenkultur sucht, wird hier enttäuscht. Good News blendet bestimmte Spektren aus, verbreitet aber trotzdem politische Propaganda. Dabei bleiben Fakten und Vernunft auf der Strecke. Schade, denn echte good news sind definitiv eine Marktlücke.
