I am an RN and I use it all the time to review anatomy.
Will not restore purchase
I purchased Pocket Anatomy app 2017. I deleted it in the past when I discovered it would not restore my purchase. Today 6/15/2025, having forgotten my experience, I downloaded again, and it still will not restore my purchase, instead, it requires an ongoing subscription. DELETED.
Force.
Stop trying to force me to get a subscription with that annoying pop up! I don’t care if it’s a 7-day free trial, I won’t get it!

Need structures in the brain… there is not enough anterior /posterior labeling

Very disappointing that this is advertised as a free app
Once I downloaded, I pressed about 3 buttons and it forces me to start a free trial with an auto subscription model. I can’t stand when apps do this, its very disingenuous in my opinion.

Ich habe die App vor Einführung des Abos gekauft. Laut Apple‘s AppStore Regeln dürfen Funktionen und Inhalte einer App für die man bereits bezahlt hat nicht entzogen werden und dafür nochmal Geld verlangt werden um diese wieder zu erhalten und nutzen zu können. Können Sie mir bitte sagen wie Sie bei Kunden wie mich sicherstellen, dass ich diese App in dem Umfang in dem ich sie gekauft habe auch weiterhin (ohne Abo) nutzen kann?

It’s free and with no ads! Really helpful to see superficial and deep muscles, ligaments, bones, etc…

New update has an ad for Anatomus at the bottom
Hi Mark, the new update has an advertisement for Anatomus, the web based version for laptop/desktop. There’s no way to turn it off, it’s permanently embedded in the app at the bottom obstructing the view. While I appreciate having the advertisement, it should go away after I checked it out or have an option to close it. I would even consider purchasing the desktop option but for mobile it can’t keep staying there. I would like to change this review to 5 stars after you change this. Thanks.

The app is a great idea but when selecting a pin it does not give you the name of what you are selecting.
Missing a few features
Should be able to have arrow keys to go from one pin to another - not just having to manually spin and click on each pin
Amazing app
I am a massage therapist of 13 years and I have some medical training and this app has been very helpful in educating myself and my clients and patients. I recommended to them all the time.
Doesn’t respond
No matter how many time I try to get the female body to show instead of the default male body it just won’t. Not very helpful if you’re studying female anatomy.
Won’t switch genders
I like the app but sometimes I can’t get it to switch to female.
Not user friendly
I’m trying to use this app as a novice, a yoga student interested in learning more about the muscles we are working in class. This app has no common language use. Curious about the IT band? This app has no clue what you are referring to. There is no back button. You touch it and it’s suddenly in a whole new muscle, or maybe it’s switched to nerves. Gotta start over. Also, so many pins. Which is the one you want? I have learned nothing but how to control my aggravation thru more yoga.

Doesn’t download!
Can’t use and review app if it won’t download. Update: have it now. I don’t know what the issue was. I have LOTS of storage.
Wish it could default to female
I really love this app. It’s helpful even if a little glitchy. Wish it could default to female. Most of my work is with women and every time I have to look something up I have to reset it to female view. What a drag.

I think this would be a much better tool if there were a way to highlight a single muscle and see the whole muscle.
Great anatomy reference, even better quiz functionality
This app is a fantastic reference for anatomy structures, with a clean interface. Interface is so important for an app of this type, and this is the best I’ve found yet. Another positive is that the subscription cost is very affordable. With all this considered, my favorite feature is the Identify Pins quiz. Fast and fun way to review structures. Highly recommend this app!

Suggestions
I do like the app for its basic functions. I think I would suggest that the app makes it easier to cut away muscles to see all of the underlying musculature. I would also point out the bony landmarks on the skeleton to better visualize the origin and insertion points.
A “PURE GIFT” to Anatomy Students
I”m a retired Radiology Technologist. I find myself truly amazed to view the positions and depth of information available on this site about the human body. It really is to me, most comprehensive view of anatomy I’ve ever had privilege to see with my own eyes. I use it now figure out exactly “what the heck” the doctor is talking about. It’s fun to help my family and even friends. They think I must a “wonderful memory” LOL (private joke—I’m 82 😼) THANK YOU so so much!
Poor Interaction / Poor Visuals
This only gives the user an exterior view. I could find better examples “googling” or on YouTube. Would like my $1 back. Very unpleased.

The text doesn’t appear when using dark mode in iOS 13, but is otherwise a great app.

BEST FREE ANATOMY APP
This is the best free anatomy app that I ever had the chance to have my hands to. I IT has features that you would only expect for a paid app, but they put them out there for free. Their developers are really generous. If you are a medical student that is short on budget, GET THIS APP, ASAP! Although I would have a few suggestions. It would be better if we can also isolate each organ or systems. I know that is already too much to ask for a free app, but if you would add that, even for a paid version (but not too expensive), I would get that, just to have the most features from this app. Lastly, I really want to thank the developer for this app. This is truly a gift for us with limited finances to buy apps for our education.

Really helpful tool
Visuals are great. Clean and intuitive interface. Well organized. Useful info for each part. The MULTIPLE testing tools are incredibly helpful for studying. Thank you so much guys. Just one bug: when tapping on the speaker for dialogue in the info section, the app crashes. iPhone SE iOS 13.1.2 Also, would you please add the ability to skip questions in the testing mode? Would really help speed things along for ones I am sure I know already or am not currently studying. Thank you guys so much!

Savior in a financial crisis!
During this pandemic online school has been hard enough! Especially because institutions have not reduced tuition or fees regardless of the fact that students are not obtaining the full educational experience! Having this free learning software has been a fantastic aid on my journey towards my physical therapy degree. I appreciate it very much!
